Pieces on the front side of the bed ? Cause I don’t have a t30 power tool. I think the seal just helps to keep water from getting in.? If that’s the case then I don’t really need the foam pieces. Thanks for any replies.
Kaycee 310 Toys and collectibles you don’t have to. May be a little leakage but it will mount nonetheless. And friend, you have a genuine Tacoma, the T30 drive is a $3 trip to the Lowes store 😂 You will be alright either way! Thanks kind regards
J Lee Chronicles thanks 🙏 I tried buying a t30 screw driver but that thing is jammed tight. So I returned the t 30 screw driver lol. My dad had tools but he’s old school and don’t know if he has it in hand. I may have to just install it without the foam pieces. I feel a lot more at ease with your advice 👍. Thanks a bunch. I may need power tools or above average strength to manually remove those bolts haha.
Does it leak very much? And where? I just ordered one and am curious on just how waterproof it really is.
mwarfel95 there is slight water intrusion towards rear corners...in heavy downpours is all though. Not bad at all

Yep these covers are great!!!! I've had a few of those really expensive ones and they all had issues from leaking at the hinges to clamps breaking.
I can def say that these cheap trifolds are the best. I take mine thru the carwash all the time and the only spot that's a little wet is by the tailgate like you mentioned. I don't carry anything valuable in my bed so this cover suites me fine. I'll never piss my money away on those expensive covers again.
I just got the Gator SFX (maybe a newer one) for my Taco. But did you not do the tailgate seal????

rolan person its tight. I’d not hesitate to put luggage back there. After a car wash spray, a bit of water can be seen near tailgate. Im happy with it keeping contents dry, no major water intrusion at all. Thanks
I had to add extra rubber weatherstripping to make it tighter

Yes they make them for 2013’s
Can you use rail system with this cover?
Michael Algieri yes, the cover attaches using the rail system. The factory “screw on” attachment points can be moved around and used also.
Do you like the Tacoma better than the Chevy ZR2?
January Fires -tough one. Thanks for asking, they both have their strong points, feel more confident with the Pro, (perceived dependability reliability/resale). Enjoy the Toyota quality, its a great Truck. But the ZR2 has the sporty ride, better power and comfort. Sorry, I cant say one is positively better. The Raptor is better though! But then you give up size /parking.... can’t win:) ...but maybe the Ranger Raptor soon??
