    Hate kitchens , my friend owns a restaurant and I’m always over there fixing things climbing over greasy stuff , but he’s a great guy so I don’t mind 🤙

    Dormont flexs are the best for commercial gas to meet 3/4" also pending if machine is stationary or not dictates the type of hose. But of course the man CB Knows that! Keep on rocking brotha! Love that u show and teach your kids the trade, gives them a great work ethic. 👍🏻🇺🇸🔧

      the issue with connections being pointed upward, is junk getting in when unhooked.

      exactly it's a big pain for all the trades, I find it best to schedule for when they're closed, after hours or just about closing time. but it sucks also, no parts houses open, middle of the night, weekends and holidays. doesn't work for hotels/motels/apartments, too much noise always someone needing water, power, etc. :(

      French Fries anyone? Ha!

  • @Toni-ght
    @Toni-ght 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I really hate this job, i do the same things for fastfood in France..
    Grease everywhere... hot grill and hot friyers very close....
    But tools don’t get rust LOL with the grease.
    I really like this type of blue pipe, it’s perfect for the cleaning team and for the maintenance ;)
    Nice Job CB!

    What do you recommend for hooking up this style of fryer to lp. I’m going to be at a state fair with my fryer and and trying to figure out what to use to connect to a 100lb lp tank

    • @ChuckBarron
      @ChuckBarron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Call company for sure. Or call a Lp company. they have all the gear and can make you up whatever you need. I just did it for a concert last year and a food truck.

    I wish i could find a tool to help disconnect those blue lines from fryers. Mcdonalds fryers have them hooked up on the bottom in a very hard to reach tight spot usually and they're very greasy. It's almost impossible to disconnect some of those quick disconnects.

  • @throttlebottle5906
    @throttlebottle5906 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    lol @ 4:44 "trying not to get all greasy" good luck on that one! I hate kitchen grease, hard to wash out and the smell lingers on everything for weeks. but I'd take the grease instead of poo-water wading any day :))

    • @ChuckBarron
      @ChuckBarron  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      lol! for sure...if I there was 4-5 footers I could of pulled em out properly. especially the end one was on wheels. oh well.

    The technician is not installing a gas regulator because is integrated in the fryer correct?

    You should always drain the oil out for safety if its hot !

    • @ChuckBarron
      @ChuckBarron  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it was off. I did do one hot and it was no joke...it was like working with C-4 ...(i have never done but) super slow and easy. great point for sure mike

    • @hewittmcelroy3711
      @hewittmcelroy3711 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The restaurant should have drained the oil and had these units turned off. I was cringing throughout this video, hoping that no-one slipped on a greasy surface, especially while climbing into the space behind, plunging into the hot oil. The 4 ft supply will make the job safer for the next guy. I hope that OSHA and insurance carriers do not see this video. Yikes!

    those flex pipes are pretty restrictive due to design and shouldn't be reused anyway. I don't think 3' would pass in many areas for health inspection/cleaning purposes.

    Can't believe they didn't shut the one down you were coming to work on... hate working behind fryers.... he went with the 3 foot cause he lost his mind when he saw the price of a commercial flex..gross job gratz..

      taking everything to the dry cleaners is about the only way. or get uniforms that are regularly dry-cleaned for work. probably cheaper to keep a few pairs of clothes just for kitchen work though lol.
