I was about to say , you probably don't like angelic aura because you don't qaim well with it, but you confirmed it. I used it and i have to say it's one of the most OP bosskillers in the game with the right inscriptions. Just anything that makes it stronger from crit hits makes it OP like Crit, dmg, and lucky shot. If you see that on this gun, just keep it for the entire run. Not even a thunderclap with the same inscriptions and elemental effect chances can compare.

Hey, I wanted to say thank you for this guide and some others (especially your lei lou guide.) I finally managed to beat the game on nightmare today, not a great achievement but I'm proud of it and I attribute a fair bit of it to your guides, I feel like I have a better understanding of the game due to them. @@SlightRNG I won with Lei Lou! He's very much my favorite hero and playstyle, I really like to lean in to the sniper archetype since I am pretty good at aiming and less so at dodging: I go for a "kill people quick before they can hit me" type deal.
The Big Hippo can be used very effectively with the clip size Gemini on weapons like the Wild Hunt and the Demonlore, especially with the scroll that replenishes a percentage of your mag every second on hit.
That is a good point! And it got buffed a little in 1.0 it feels like. It just feels like it ramps up a little faster. Still a very slow movespeed weapon that does less DPS than the Scalpel and Angelic Aura, but at least it's getting better!
I like your content. I just wanted to say the Goshawk is a type of raptor and is pronounced as Gos (sounds like gauze) Hawk. I see a lot of people calling it the Go-shock and it makes me twitch a bit.

Personally, Hell is my favorite weapon in the game. I just unlocked Nightmare, so I'm definitely still in the early game and it might be way worse at higher gameplay, but it's so satisfying to me. I don't mind the super slow reload speed and I love having a gigantic chunky meatshot machine.
The weapon CAN be good in higher difficulties! It's certainly got a good run every once in a while! Accuracy is the most important thing for a Hell to be good in higher difficulties

You know, I am not too sure about the Concealed Ammo Reincarnation viability. After thinking about it a little more, it may be important for me to get a second opinion on that weapon. I know the Cat's Energy Blade combos very well with it and Lei Luo's Fatal Current with high levels of ThunderStrike increases both do great with it. IIUC, The dog can exploit it with explosion ascensions and it's high RoF can be good on Tao sometimes too.
Damn, this actually might be the most detailed tier list on Gunfire out right now. But tbh, I nearly always still go for the weapons that I like and feel fun rather than the weapons that would 100 percent make my build better lol. Wonder where ice spear ranks on this list now since I always take it because its super fun 🤔

Hopefully my comment didn't look dismissive or smth that wasn't my point I had a bomb run with spear on R4 where I basically just stacked the crit bonus the whole run, and it went super well before I got pinned to a wall and octopus spammed on the third act lmao. I was playing turtle and spear was doing so much damage that I almost didn't want to Aspis and start punching most of the time. Probably not going to get a run that good with spear again. My experience probably don't got any bearing on your analysis but I think it's really strong personally

Wow, your tier list just makes we wanna show you Ao Bai reincarnation 7 is legit, even though I was running as cat for good months :P Glimmering is such a shit weapon and only because it was nerfed, look at what it used to be: 8/7/2020 update: Lowered explosion radius from 4m to 3m. Lowered base damage from 180 to 135. Lowered impact hit damage from 75% to 50%. Lowered elemental effect chance from 30% to 10%. People could use that and it doesn't even sound imba, similar to other pistols
I believe you! Where do you think this list fails to encompass him? The launchers? My understanding was that Ao Bai had two legit builds: (1) Justice and (2) dual wield miasma application.
@@SlightRNG I'd say tiger cannon + shrieker belong to "only op on", Bone Dragon should be in "strong" category, since it can be utilized by most for area clearing due to controlling a lot of area. That is if you okay with being slower usually, hiding out and killing all helpless melees. Justice is good for Ao Bai, but other launchers can be utilized easier due to having low magazine, a lot of reload time inscriptions and Ao Bai's reload time ascension, which makes them preferable for damage. And at bosses justice is difficult to use, whilst tiger cannon hits bosses anywhere you hit when you get AoE ascension/inscription. Looking at you, wind god!
@@MrChaomen Okay, gotcha. At least this tier list doesn't put them in F category. They're obviously better than that, but my lack of Dog runs are def showing. I'll keep that in mind when I update this list for next update. I had Bone Dragon in the "strong" category at first, but moved it down. It's just not THAT strong on all characters as a main/essential weapon. Maybe also in Only OP on for Dog? Though, I do see what you're saying... just hide out and spam your shots and they can't advance and you'll eventually kill all the melees charging at you... hmmmmm interesting. It's probably top 3 secondary weapons for me, esp early. I'll give it another look.
I hate seeing more poor Big Hippo always on the bottom. It is one of my favorite guns and after switching to mouse and keyboard from controller it is my most consistent head shot machine. I have broken the game so many times with that gun, I feel it deserves a bit more ❤
Its is sometimes the best weapon offered, but its very weak compared to other weapons that do the same things, but better (scalpel, angelic aura, dual fang, etc). The biggest problem with Big Hippo is the its damage doesnt justify the movespeed penalty, and in high RX runs, thats a no-go. My assumption is that youve had success with it outside of high RX runs. Please let me know if I am wrong.

Just cleared R7 with Yang using a cranked Illusion and my buddy playing Tao with a Bone Dragon. What a rush! Now the wait for fall.. man I wish they’d introduce leaderboards.
I will say laser gloves are not ONLY op on tao, high fire rate makes its lower elemental effect chance more than viable - using it on crown prince especially if you roll the inscription for spread elemental effect to all enemies within 8m or if you get elemental power. Especially if you get an inscription for sharing element and use a decay weapon for explosion especially if you get T3 fire damage on him (not that explosion isn't just strong in general), otherwise you can share with shock if you have T3 decay. Have had some of my highest damage runs on crown prince using the laser glove.
Thats a great point. Its also a great secondary for Bosses as its very easy to never trigger the damage-loss on miss. Ill bump it up to Strong in my next one.
@@GoyfAscetic Nope, its good I just failed to mention it. You'll see in the pinned comment by me that Laser Gloves have been moved up to Strong. They are a solid option, especially against bosses, and can be very useful if you have good aim
@@GoyfAscetic the wiki says it adds base damage which is good (i.e. multiplicative). Each hit adds 1 up to +100. So since it starts at 23 damage, +100 base damage is a ~500% multiplicative increase but it resets on miss. Changing enemies, reloading, or missing resets, so the 50 mag cant even stack it fully

@@SlightRNG I'm doing quite well with talisman on R7 group, I'm usually 2nd in damage (sometimes 3rd). You've really undervalued Talisman, in my opinion. It's quite weak up until the first boss (works worse in close quarters), but is deadly after the 2nd boss. I tend to reach the 2nd boss with the 3rd or 4th (sometimes) damage, but I make up quite a lot in the final stages.

@@SlightRNG I'm only using Crown Prince, so heavy focus on elemental, with talisman on the fire mode. Prioritise Elemental rage, Corrosion and Pyro. Plus, one level of several others (as you mentioned above). I get a nice drop rate of talisman with elemental benefits (usually close to the 2nd boss or just after the 2nd boss). I combine it with another weapon of high crit, and the elemental damage just cuts a path through the enemies. I don't even need a specific set of scrolls. The ship boss is fairly easy with high damage, but I'll sometimes use a secondary weapon against serpent as that boss is the Achilles heel of the talisman (too far to hit, or too quick at close range unless you time it). The fact the talisman "auto aims" with a high hit rate and a high crit rate makes the 2nd and 3rd levels really straight forward. As long as I can reach the first boss, I'm smooth sailing after that.

Does this tier list account for Miasma scaling downward in multiplayer or is this a solo player tier list? I feel like this tier list is solo play exclusive.
Great question! It's more accurate for solo play, but Miasma doesn't scale downward, it maintains its damage. So miasma is still very strong in Multiplayer. Overall, the best weapons are still the best weapons in the game, whether you're playing solo or multiplayer. It's how you play on the map that changes most with multiplayer, imho
@@SlightRNG it does 12% base HP solo, but in 4 player that base HP is X7. It takes 7 times as long to kill the same enemy with Miasma. There are Reincarnation 8 builds that allow you to kill act 4 enemies in a single shot. If a single Miasma user with 9 stacks takes 11 seconds to solo kill a non-Elite, that is far too long.
@@Crimefridge I am going to say that this list will work better solo play, but it needs to be updated for 1.0. Im not sure miasma is quite as powerful now.
As a new player I always wonder whether I should or shouldn't spend copper to upgrade weapon DMG with the craftsman? if i have a good elemental weapon is it a good idea to keep leveling it? vs replacing?
Here is the best answer, but its not the most helpful. Upgrade your weapons if (a) its early and you're feeling like youre lacking damage. Just one or two upgrades. (b) if its the weapon you think you can use the rest of the game. This would be indicated by it doing good damage for you right now. Eventually, you'll unlock talents that let you Etch a Gemini Inscription onto a Weapon. Once you have that, then (b) changes to require that weapon to have a Gemini. In higher levels, you must have a Gemini to do enough damage. But as a newer player, its not nearly as critical. After act 2, I usually have the weapon I plan to use until the end of the run. Try using some S-tier/OP weapons and just running with them without switching too much. Just upgrade them. See how that works for you as a temporary strat.
No way Rainbow and Argus are so low on this list. These two are the most broken weapon in the game if combined with Gemini spore, and the fact it can shoot through walls at a very long distance means you can cheese everything. It's also extremely consistent.

Actually, I went ahead and did it. ;) If you hover over the bar, I always have the weapon pulled up on the right-hand side of the screen, too, so you can easily find any specific weapon that way.
As a new player, I don't understand why people hate the Glimmer but love Prism. Can somebody explain it to me? Is it a single target vs multi target thing because Prism ricochets? Is it the low elemental chance? I think they're both good (not OP, but solid). Glimmer hits a target, sticks to them, _then explodes_ into multiple pieces of shrapnel that can each hit them again. It also has zero reload time. It has gotten me through solo Normal runs almost singlehandedly (no pun intended), and contributed to me having either top or 2nd damage in coop more than once. Plus, playing as the dual wielder while having both of them equipped is just fun as hell.
Great Question! So keep in mind, anything will work in the Normal Difficulty. Part of exploring the game is finding out what does enough damage to really crank out high difficulty wins. Glimmering and Prism are both low tier weapons because their innate DPS is low and they dont offer enough in terms of movespeed or elemental effect chance when compared to other weapons. For instance. Why use prism for elemental share when Aura of Venom has a higher effect chance and does more DPS and the same movespeed? Why use prism for offhand movespeed when poisonous ghost gives you WAY more movespeed? Glimmering is even worse than prism and has the same problems. Mostly due to bad DPS, difficulty clearing large amounts of enemies even with an explosion, and terrible elemental effect chance when Gemeni'd
Ever had a Lei luo lightning Messenger + porcupine run? 100% chance of 10m aoe lightning effect with porcupine acid and high projectile count makes you Max miasma on 1 or two hits, I've won runs using a porcupine from the first chest until the end with this combo. Also for characters other than the cat I value porcupine as a miasma starter more than the lightning weapons, which I usually use as a secondary for the Gemini mostly
This is a good point that I failed to mention. One of the reasons Porcupine is so high is bc its the only excellent corrosion-based miasma applicator. And that build on Lei Luo is very good. I included the Lightning Messenger combo in the intro of my Lei Lui CL Woodpecker build
I love running the talisman on Lei Luo as a secondary to instantly refill my primary skill CD (assuming I got the skill that lowers cooldown for each crit) Edit: It's the "Heart of Battle" skill. It doesn't have an internal cooldown which makes it work nicely with rapid-fire weapons that guarantee crits.
Heart of Battle only works on Crit Kills, tho, right? I havent had too much success with it for that reason. Does the Talisman work in R7 for you? Ive struggled with it in high RX, though its very fun on lower difficulties

Title your videos better, also say the weapons name all the time. Edit after responses: I should use more words when I comment. I should have said something like: Your titles can be very busy with words sometimes, and for mobile (and sometimes online) users, much of it gets cut off and can be *potentially* deceiving or just not seen at all. When I said to say 'say wep names all the time' I just meant that in mobile formats, it can become very hard to see what weapons you are selecting or talking about when you are referencing others. This doesn't mean to always reference everything you highlight, but maybe call out the main weps you are comparing them to.

Unfortunately, Dog Explosion Build is awesome, but not very effective in higher difficulties, so I have to rate it lower. Once they Buff Ao Bai's explosion kit, then Tiger Cannon will be much stronger. I assume you're not playing Tiger Cannon on R7, right?
@@SlightRNG Not yet, me and my friend are just starting out. I mained the bunny and he main the dog. His aoe build wipe the floor on Normal and elite so fast that I couldn't keep up. Combining with gemini rof and magazine skill. He just obliterated every one.

I could stand it more if it wasn't for the movement speed penalty. I get punished so often for using the weapon with how slow I move while wielding it.
Heya! Are you having some success in solo high Reincarnation runs with the Big Hippo after the 1.0 update? Unfortunately, its very low movespeed makes it quite weak, especially when weapons like Angelic Aura and Scalpel out-DPS it. Gauntlet is OP bc of miasma abuse with ele share gemini. Fire Tower is very good, I am surprised you dont like it. The secondary fire is bad, for sure. Whats the highest difficulty youve completed? Most high-skill players in the discord generally agree with this placement. What am I missing in your opinion?
This is a troll tier list if I've ever seen one. Edit: Let me back up what I'm saying. Talisman in F tier. It is, to my knowledge, the only weapon in the game that has all three elemental effects on it. That alone makes it, in my opinion, at least C tier. The homing effect and the fact that you never have to reload it also help. Demonlore as situationally OP. Dude, the gun is always OP. It increases damage by a lot and like you said it's more or less a free win. You can and will melt bosses with it. Lightning Blast and Sunder in A tier. Both are mediocre weapons that offer little or nothing over the other 48 weapons in the game. A Cavalry might be boring, but I'd rather have it over either of those. Dual Fang in D tier. It has a good rate of fire and multiple elemental effects at all times. That's really frickin' good. The helical effect of the bullets might be throwing some people off, but you also have Double Caliber at A tier? So I don't think that's it. Golden Bow in D tier. It is a pinpoint accurate weapon with absurd crit damage that you never have to reload. I fail to see what's not to like. Wild Hunt in B tier. I really, really wouldn't put it there, as the damage isn't that good compared to other high-damage weapons, and the tiny magazine size does not help it. Glimmering and Prism in anything lower than A tier. Both of these weapons used to be busted until the patch where they got reeled in a bit, but even now they're good. They bounce around, they always have elemental, and you never have to reload them. Very solid. Illusion at S tier. It's good, it's underrated, but it's not *that* good.
Hello! I truly appreciate your passion and the time you took to write up your opinions! That being said, I think you'll find it difficult to convince many high-skill players of these opinions. I certainly don't think my tier list is pin-point accurate (as I already have edits to it since making it), but it is a valid approximation for where the weapons are at, especially for new players. First and foremost, my tier list is very obviously not using the S-F scale... and for a reason. So most of your criticism is a bit weird. That being said, it would be helpful for me to have a bit more respect for your opinions if I knew your game hours and your highest run success in solo only (not multiplayer). If you're a slam-dunking solo r7 nerd, I think you'd get more traction from some of these opinions that are not very popular. Talisman and glimmering get their bad ratings from low damage and low elemental effect changes. You say "they always have elemental" which is true that they do elemental damage, but in high Reincarnation, we really are looking for elemental effects. Both of these weapons are really bad at doing that. Golden bow has a low crit multiplier at 2.5x compared to other snipers. Wild Hunt is not B tier, it's situationally OP on any character if you get an activator like Deft Hands or Advanced Depot + Ammo Gain as it has like... the highest damage potential of any weapon in the game due to the number of projectiles it does. Illusion is widely considered to be one of the best weapons in the game; it's definitely not underrated as far as I know. I think I could say more, but my goal is to suggest that it's possible that you're a bit off with some of your own opinions, though I'd take them more seriously if I knew you were having a lot of success in solo r7.

I'm not saying you're wrong, you'll do better using a gun you like more than with one you despise, but at the same time there are some guns here that are just way better or way worse than you give them credit for.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I'd challenge you to challenge your opinions with other high-skill players in the discord and see what you come up with. Like Glimmering is well-known to be one of the worst weapons in the game right now since it's nerf, so putting that in A-tier would be a huge disservice to people watching this video. Thanks for the productive communication! *Eyes rolling so far back in my head they spin around I will be releasing an updated one eventually, that being said, this list is still very reasonable and a great starting place. Most weapons havent changed a huge amount.
Fire Dragon is super, SUPER powerful! High damage, infinite piercing, super high elemental effect application rate, fire damage is the best damage type, it can be gemini'd with a lot of different geminis, and it gets all the benefits of injectors. Easily one of the best weapons in the game! :) I'd strongly suggest that you take a bit more time playing and thinking about the game before making strong statements like this. I do not think you'll find any high skill player who would agree with you. That being said, I do respect that you're taking the time to educate yourself about this cool game! I'd strongly suggest you hop on the discord and share your opinions there if you'd like the crowd to evaluate their worth.

I finally managed to beat the game on nightmare today, not a great achievement but I'm proud of it and I attribute a fair bit of it to your guides, I feel like I have a better understanding of the game due to them. @@SlightRNG I won with Lei Lou! He's very much my favorite hero and playstyle, I really like to lean in to the sniper archetype since I am pretty good at aiming and less so at dodging: I go for a "kill people quick before they can hit me" type deal.

The Big Hippo can be used very effectively with the clip size Gemini on weapons like the Wild Hunt and the Demonlore, especially with the scroll that replenishes a percentage of your mag every second on hit.
That is a good point! And it got buffed a little in 1.0 it feels like. It just feels like it ramps up a little faster. Still a very slow movespeed weapon that does less DPS than the Scalpel and Angelic Aura, but at least it's getting better!

Personally, Hell is my favorite weapon in the game. I just unlocked Nightmare, so I'm definitely still in the early game and it might be way worse at higher gameplay, but it's so satisfying to me. I don't mind the super slow reload speed and I love having a gigantic chunky meatshot machine.
The weapon CAN be good in higher difficulties! It's certainly got a good run every once in a while!

You know, I am not too sure about the Concealed Ammo Reincarnation viability. After thinking about it a little more, it may be important for me to get a second opinion on that weapon. I know the Cat's Energy Blade combos very well with it and Lei Luo's Fatal Current with high levels of ThunderStrike increases both do great with it. IIUC, The dog can exploit it with explosion ascensions and it's high RoF can be good on Tao sometimes too.

But tbh, I nearly always still go for the weapons that I like and feel fun rather than the weapons that would 100 percent make my build better lol. I had a bomb run with spear on R4 where I basically just stacked the crit bonus the whole run, and it went super well before I got pinned to a wall and octopus spammed on the third act lmao. I was playing turtle and spear was doing so much damage that I almost didn't want to Aspis and start punching most of the time. Probably not going to get a run that good with spear again. My experience probably don't got any bearing on your analysis but I think it's really strong personally

Glimmering is such a shit weapon and only because it was nerfed, look at what it used to be:
8/7/2020 update: Lowered explosion radius from 4m to 3m. Lowered base damage from 180 to 135. Lowered impact hit damage from 75% to 50%. Lowered elemental effect chance from 30% to 10%.
People could use that and it doesn't even sound imba, similar to other pistols

My understanding was that Ao Bai had two legit builds: (1) Justice and (2) dual wield miasma application.
@@SlightRNG I'd say tiger cannon + shrieker belong to "only op on", Bone Dragon should be in "strong" category, since it can be utilized by most for area clearing due to controlling a lot of area. That is if you okay with being slower usually, hiding out and killing all helpless melees.
Justice is good for Ao Bai, but other launchers can be utilized easier due to having low magazine, a lot of reload time inscriptions and Ao Bai's reload time ascension, which makes them preferable for damage. And at bosses justice is difficult to use, whilst tiger cannon hits bosses anywhere you hit when you get AoE ascension/inscription. Looking at you, wind god!

I had Bone Dragon in the "strong" category at first, but moved it down. It's just not THAT strong on all characters as a main/essential weapon. Maybe also in Only OP on for Dog? Though, I do see what you're saying... just hide out and spam your shots and they can't advance and you'll eventually kill all the melees charging at you... hmmmmm interesting.
It's probably top 3 secondary weapons for me, esp early. I'll give it another look.

I hate seeing more poor Big Hippo always on the bottom. It is one of my favorite guns and after switching to mouse and keyboard from controller it is my most consistent head shot machine. I have broken the game so many times with that gun, I feel it deserves a bit more ❤
Its is sometimes the best weapon offered, but its very weak compared to other weapons that do the same things, but better (scalpel, angelic aura, dual fang, etc). The biggest problem with Big Hippo is the its damage doesnt justify the movespeed penalty, and in high RX runs, thats a no-go. My assumption is that youve had success with it outside of high RX runs. Please let me know if I am wrong.

I will say laser gloves are not ONLY op on tao, high fire rate makes its lower elemental effect chance more than viable - using it on crown prince especially if you roll the inscription for spread elemental effect to all enemies within 8m or if you get elemental power. Especially if you get an inscription for sharing element and use a decay weapon for explosion especially if you get T3 fire damage on him (not that explosion isn't just strong in general), otherwise you can share with shock if you have T3 decay. Have had some of my highest damage runs on crown prince using the laser glove.
Thats a great point. Its also a great secondary for Bosses as its very easy to never trigger the damage-loss on miss. Ill bump it up to Strong in my next one.

So since it starts at 23 damage, +100 base damage is a ~500% multiplicative increase but it resets on miss. Changing enemies, reloading, or missing resets, so the 50 mag cant even stack it fully

@@SlightRNG I'm doing quite well with talisman on R7 group, I'm usually 2nd in damage (sometimes 3rd). You've really undervalued Talisman, in my opinion. It's quite weak up until the first boss (works worse in close quarters), but is deadly after the 2nd boss. I tend to reach the 2nd boss with the 3rd or 4th (sometimes) damage, but I make up quite a lot in the final stages.

@@SlightRNG I'm only using Crown Prince, so heavy focus on elemental, with talisman on the fire mode. Prioritise Elemental rage, Corrosion and Pyro. Plus, one level of several others (as you mentioned above). I get a nice drop rate of talisman with elemental benefits (usually close to the 2nd boss or just after the 2nd boss). I combine it with another weapon of high crit, and the elemental damage just cuts a path through the enemies. I don't even need a specific set of scrolls. The ship boss is fairly easy with high damage, but I'll sometimes use a secondary weapon against serpent as that boss is the Achilles heel of the talisman (too far to hit, or too quick at close range unless you time it). The fact the talisman "auto aims" with a high hit rate and a high crit rate makes the 2nd and 3rd levels really straight forward. As long as I can reach the first boss, I'm smooth sailing after that.

Does this tier list account for Miasma scaling downward in multiplayer or is this a solo player tier list? I feel like this tier list is solo play exclusive.
Great question! It's more accurate for solo play, but Miasma doesn't scale downward, it maintains its damage. So miasma is still very strong in Multiplayer.
Overall, the best weapons are still the best weapons in the game, whether you're playing solo or multiplayer. It's how you play on the map that changes most with multiplayer, imho
@@SlightRNG it does 12% base HP solo, but in 4 player that base HP is X7. It takes 7 times as long to kill the same enemy with Miasma. There are Reincarnation 8 builds that allow you to kill act 4 enemies in a single shot. If a single Miasma user with 9 stacks takes 11 seconds to solo kill a non-Elite, that is far too long.

As a new player I always wonder whether I should or shouldn't spend copper to upgrade weapon DMG with the craftsman? if i have a good elemental weapon is it a good idea to keep leveling it? vs replacing?
Here is the best answer, but its not the most helpful. Upgrade your weapons if (a) its early and you're feeling like youre lacking damage. Just one or two upgrades.
(b) if its the weapon you think you can use the rest of the game. This would be indicated by it doing good damage for you right now.
Eventually, you'll unlock talents that let you Etch a Gemini Inscription onto a Weapon. Once you have that, then (b) changes to require that weapon to have a Gemini. In higher levels, you must have a Gemini to do enough damage. But as a newer player, its not nearly as critical.
After act 2, I usually have the weapon I plan to use until the end of the run. Try using some S-tier/OP weapons and just running with them without switching too much. Just upgrade them. See how that works for you as a temporary strat.

Yeah, Talisman can sometimes be good. My suspicion is that you were playing on lower difficulty. It's very hard to find a good talisman in R8
No way Rainbow and Argus are so low on this list. These two are the most broken weapon in the game if combined with Gemini spore, and the fact it can shoot through walls at a very long distance means you can cheese everything. It's also extremely consistent.
This list is way over a year old. It doesn't accurately reflect the games current state. Spores was totally different a year ago

Actually, I went ahead and did it. ;) If you hover over the bar, I always have the weapon pulled up on the right-hand side of the screen, too, so you can easily find any specific weapon that way.
As a new player, I don't understand why people hate the Glimmer but love Prism. Can somebody explain it to me? Is it a single target vs multi target thing because Prism ricochets? Is it the low elemental chance? I think they're both good (not OP, but solid). Glimmer hits a target, sticks to them, _then explodes_ into multiple pieces of shrapnel that can each hit them again. It also has zero reload time. It has gotten me through solo Normal runs almost singlehandedly (no pun intended), and contributed to me having either top or 2nd damage in coop more than once.
Plus, playing as the dual wielder while having both of them equipped is just fun as hell.
Great Question! So keep in mind, anything will work in the Normal Difficulty. Part of exploring the game is finding out what does enough damage to really crank out high difficulty wins.
Glimmering and Prism are both low tier weapons because their innate DPS is low and they dont offer enough in terms of movespeed or elemental effect chance when compared to other weapons.
For instance. Why use prism for elemental share when Aura of Venom has a higher effect chance and does more DPS and the same movespeed?
Why use prism for offhand movespeed when poisonous ghost gives you WAY more movespeed?
Glimmering is even worse than prism and has the same problems. Mostly due to bad DPS, difficulty clearing large amounts of enemies even with an explosion, and terrible elemental effect chance when Gemeni'd
Ever had a Lei luo lightning Messenger + porcupine run? 100% chance of 10m aoe lightning effect with porcupine acid and high projectile count makes you Max miasma on 1 or two hits, I've won runs using a porcupine from the first chest until the end with this combo.
Also for characters other than the cat I value porcupine as a miasma starter more than the lightning weapons, which I usually use as a secondary for the Gemini mostly
This is a good point that I failed to mention. One of the reasons Porcupine is so high is bc its the only excellent corrosion-based miasma applicator. And that build on Lei Luo is very good. I included the Lightning Messenger combo in the intro of my Lei Lui CL Woodpecker build

I love running the talisman on Lei Luo as a secondary to instantly refill my primary skill CD (assuming I got the skill that lowers cooldown for each crit)
Edit: It's the "Heart of Battle" skill. It doesn't have an internal cooldown which makes it work nicely with rapid-fire weapons that guarantee crits.
Heart of Battle only works on Crit Kills, tho, right? I havent had too much success with it for that reason. Does the Talisman work in R7 for you?

Title your videos better, also say the weapons name all the time. Edit after responses: I should use more words when I comment. I should have said something like: Your titles can be very busy with words sometimes, and for mobile (and sometimes online) users, much of it gets cut off and can be *potentially* deceiving or just not seen at all. When I said to say 'say wep names all the time' I just meant that in mobile formats, it can become very hard to see what weapons you are selecting or talking about when you are referencing others. This doesn't mean to always reference everything you highlight, but maybe call out the main weps you are comparing them to.

Hey! I appreciate the opinion and I think Tiger Cannon is a super cool weapon. Unfortunately, Dog Explosion Build is awesome, but not very effective in higher difficulties, so I have to rate it lower. Once they Buff Ao Bai's explosion kit, then Tiger Cannon will be much stronger.

@@SlightRNG Not yet, me and my friend are just starting out. I mained the bunny and he main the dog. His aoe build wipe the floor on Normal and elite so fast that I couldn't keep up. Combining with gemini rof and magazine skill. He just obliterated every one.

Heya! Are you having some success in solo high Reincarnation runs with the Big Hippo after the 1.0 update? Unfortunately, its very low movespeed makes it quite weak, especially when weapons like Angelic Aura and Scalpel out-DPS it.
Gauntlet is OP bc of miasma abuse with ele share gemini. Fire Tower is very good, I am surprised you dont like it. The secondary fire is bad, for sure.

This is a troll tier list if I've ever seen one.
Edit: Let me back up what I'm saying.
Talisman in F tier. It is, to my knowledge, the only weapon in the game that has all three elemental effects on it. That alone makes it, in my opinion, at least C tier. The homing effect and the fact that you never have to reload it also help.
Demonlore as situationally OP. Dude, the gun is always OP. It increases damage by a lot and like you said it's more or less a free win. You can and will melt bosses with it.
Lightning Blast and Sunder in A tier. Both are mediocre weapons that offer little or nothing over the other 48 weapons in the game. A Cavalry might be boring, but I'd rather have it over either of those.
Dual Fang in D tier. It has a good rate of fire and multiple elemental effects at all times. That's really frickin' good. The helical effect of the bullets might be throwing some people off, but you also have Double Caliber at A tier? So I don't think that's it.
Golden Bow in D tier. It is a pinpoint accurate weapon with absurd crit damage that you never have to reload. I fail to see what's not to like.
Wild Hunt in B tier. I really, really wouldn't put it there, as the damage isn't that good compared to other high-damage weapons, and the tiny magazine size does not help it.
Glimmering and Prism in anything lower than A tier. Both of these weapons used to be busted until the patch where they got reeled in a bit, but even now they're good. They bounce around, they always have elemental, and you never have to reload them. Very solid.
Illusion at S tier. It's good, it's underrated, but it's not *that* good.
Hello! I truly appreciate your passion and the time you took to write up your opinions! That being said, I think you'll find it difficult to convince many high-skill players of these opinions. I certainly don't think my tier list is pin-point accurate (as I already have edits to it since making it), but it is a valid approximation for where the weapons are at, especially for new players.
First and foremost, my tier list is very obviously not using the S-F scale... and for a reason. So most of your criticism is a bit weird. That being said, it would be helpful for me to have a bit more respect for your opinions if I knew your game hours and your highest run success in solo only (not multiplayer). If you're a slam-dunking solo r7 nerd, I think you'd get more traction from some of these opinions that are not very popular.
Talisman and glimmering get their bad ratings from low damage and low elemental effect changes. You say "they always have elemental" which is true that they do elemental damage, but in high Reincarnation, we really are looking for elemental effects. Both of these weapons are really bad at doing that. Golden bow has a low crit multiplier at 2.5x compared to other snipers. Wild Hunt is not B tier, it's situationally OP on any character if you get an activator like Deft Hands or Advanced Depot + Ammo Gain as it has like... the highest damage potential of any weapon in the game due to the number of projectiles it does. Illusion is widely considered to be one of the best weapons in the game; it's definitely not underrated as far as I know.
I think I could say more, but my goal is to suggest that it's possible that you're a bit off with some of your own opinions, though I'd take them more seriously if I knew you were having a lot of success in solo r7.
@@SlightRNG I mean, I'm not taking R7 solo every time, but I'm level 163 at least, I like to think I know what I'm talking about. I'm not saying you're wrong, you'll do better using a gun you like more than with one you despise, but at the same time there are some guns here that are just way better or way worse than you give them credit for.
@@noahgassler746 Noah, you do realize that I think there are only 5 guns that you should avoid... in the whole game. And I think that even then, sometimes they're worth picking up. You're entitled to your opinion, but I'd challenge you to challenge your opinions with other high-skill players in the discord and see what you come up with. Like Glimmering is well-known to be one of the worst weapons in the game right now since it's nerf, so putting that in A-tier would be a huge disservice to people watching this video. I have used the weapon a LOT to come to that conclusion, as well.

I will be releasing an updated one eventually, that being said, this list is still very reasonable and a great starting place. Most weapons havent changed a huge amount.
LMAO FIRE DRAGON ON "OP" its actuality bad so far
Fire Dragon is super, SUPER powerful! High damage, infinite piercing, super high elemental effect application rate, fire damage is the best damage type, it can be gemini'd with a lot of different geminis, and it gets all the benefits of injectors. Easily one of the best weapons in the game! :)
I'd strongly suggest that you take a bit more time playing and thinking about the game before making strong statements like this. I do not think you'll find any high skill player who would agree with you.
