    privatepracticeskills.com/pri...
    More and more often these days I'm hearing y'all ask me about how I made private practice skills into a profitable business.
    And generally, I've avoided talking about it because I don't want to come across as overly braggy. And I also have ever-ongoing imposter syndrome. Despite how intentional and successful this business model has been for me, I still ask myself: Did I really do this on my own merit?
    Seriously. We're all human right? But call it luck or not, I have worked extremely hard at it and it has been successful.
    So in this video, I'll share a little more off the cuff the story of how I dreamed up private practice skills and turned it into a business that tripled my private practice income in two years. My hope in sharing my story is so that any of you all who want to generate passive income too can replicate parts of the model I've used and make it your own.

    Thank you so much for this truly great video. Your approach is SOOO refreshing. You break it all down into logical clear steps and make it sound so "doable" - so many people make everything sound so complicated that its discouraging - and off-putting ! the sheer amount of things they list as essential are exhausting - I have come away feeling 100% encouraged - My channel is ready and I am launching this week . Many thanks your new fan Maureen Pilkington

      What a sweet comment! It is indeed the both/and of doable and hard work. But hard work doesn't have to mean it's complicated or that it requires giving over your values. Thanks for the request! Are you asking for more detail about how much I get paid in each arena? Or possibly how I developed those income streams? As far as CPM, it can vary widely and I'm not educated enough to know which industries fare better and whether mental health videos would have a different CPM. Great question though!

      @@PrivatePracticeSkills Both if you can! As that shows how much roughly each avenue has bought you so far as well as how you developed them. Yes as the CPM varies e.g. tech has a high CPM so i was looking to confirm whether that was the norm in mental health-related content as no one else has been as transparent as you have! Thank you for that.

    You could cut the number of private practice in half, replace them with private coaching clients- therapists who want to scale their practice- and charge them 2.5x what you charge your private practice clients. Easy.
    You could make a group program and charge $3-5k for this too. I see it all the time (business coaches) but you’ve ACTUALLY done it yourself (a lot of those coaches haven’t grown a successful practice but they’re happy to charge $10k+ to tell you how you should do it 🙄). We need less of them and more of you! You’re awesome!! The real deal 🙏🏻❤️

I have a bit of imposter syndrome though and doubt myself because I wonder what makes me qualified (even though my business is doing very well and I have a lot of management experience with growing programs) as well as not quite sure what to cover. I feel like I'm still learning so how can I be the expert. Going to think on this more.

    • @PrivatePracticeSkills
      @PrivatePracticeSkills  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Go for it! Like I said in the video, the best route for something like this is to grow an audience. You can see if there's a platform that's a good fit for you and start making free content for folks on how to improve their practice. See what you think and if you like it, keep going!

    My only issue with this video is most of it is related to making a business with TH-cam which is a very niche thing. It’s rare to find therapists that have a TH-cam channel that actually generates some kind of income. It was more helpful to learn about more practical applications such as ways to get clients, scaling, billing etc. in order to run private practice and make six figures. Obviously we need multiple sources and think outside the box.
