What an awesome video Deya! Really loved you running through the layers and the hidden work in "passive" income I wish people would talk about more, as what most people mean is recurring income not passive income.

This is why I still prefer client work/active income. I know I can make more money doing those. I don’t have the influence to sell things to people nor do I have the energy to sell things to people.

Yeah - totally agree! Good to know your preferences & what is in line with the work you'd ideally like to be doing.

Hey! Thanks so much for the honest information given. Honestly, I have been struggling to figure this out as a newbie and have watched TONS of TH-cam videos and they spew the SAME LIES you spoke about instead of being truthful. Thank you for being real and honest. Need to find a way of making this thing work but I understand that it takes freelancing and a whole lot of dedication and effort to get things off the ground so I'm going to stick to that. Thanks!

Awesome video Deya! Thanks for addressing this big issue...I can't stand seeing ads from creators...."How do I travel the world, make 100k+ a month and only work a couple hours a week! Set it and forget it!" haha geez what nonsense, really enjoyed this video. Intro was perfect, really nailed it, awesome work

Great video! But I must say that the main problem with passive income is that most people think and expect it to be really "passive" and there's no such thing as "passive" income. You can't just sit and do nothing and expect that money will flow 😊 Even with investments which in my opinion is the closest to passive income, you need to do the work to earn money which you can invest. And the problem with freelancing is that you're limited. I am a freelancer and I know that I can simultaneously work with no more than 3 maximum 4 clients. While if you sell an online course or a digital product you're not dependent on your time, It's the same if you sell your sourse to 4 people or to 400. As for the rest of the video I agree but as I said the main problem comes really from the thing that most people believe there is such thing as passive income while the truth is income can never be passive. You always need to put some work, upfront or afterwards, if you want to make money 😊

Hey Silviya - agreed! The best way to approach it (in my opinion) is to start as a freelancer to have that lower-risk income coming in, and then explore other revenue streams as you build your experience/have a bit of stability. That's what I did as well -- and I credit my years of freelancing for being able to build a successful course.
Also agreed 100% there's no such thing as 'passive' income -- maybe 'passiver' income, but not truly 'passive.' And I will say just in my experience of selling hundreds of my courses (& helping clients sell thousands of copies of their courses), it is not as time-focused as freelancing but it is definitely more work to sell to 400 compared to 4 -- there are costs + time investments needed to fulfill the product on the backend for each student e.g. you might need someone answering more community questions from students, you might need a web developer to ensure your site stays up + can handle more students using the site. You might need more customer support to handle an increase in requests/admin, you'll have to deal with more failed payments manually, etc. Definitely a lot of hidden work/costs to online courses!
