Russ you’re so fortunate to have covered so many miles across this vast country. We are lucky you’ve shared it👍 So many places are on our roadtrip list thanks to you.
Once you get away from the cities this country has so much diverse scenery. Every bit is beautiful in it's own way. I once asked some European travelers what they enjoyed the most. Their reply- they can travel day after day and still be in the same country. Get out there and enjoy it. Life is short!! 👍👍🙋♂️

I used to live in Parker Dam. I only lived there about a year and a half, but this is what I call home. I live in Pennsylvania right now, but I am moving back to Parker next year. Thank you for sharing this. I have been gone a year and it made me smile. :) I have missed it so much.
I got the worst sunburn of my life as a child there. Almost passed out from the heat in a drainage ravine. Thought I was about to drown because my older cousin had me convinced I was about to get sucked under in a whirlpool. Learned to ride a motorcycle, tried to learn to water ski, played with sparklers, and basically had the best time of my life with my family! Thanks for sparking those fond memories Russ!
I'm new to your channel and addicted. I found your channel after you were in my home state of West Virginia this year. Love seeing the landscape of the Southwest. You do a wonderful job!
That 24 mins flew by. Your cameras are so well operated, they are crystal clear. It really is like viewers are there. That is an exceptionally beautiful area. Ty. 😊👍👍
Russ we love your videos! Thank you so much for sharing. I love traveling the west and hopefully in the next year I will be doing some of it on a motorcycle. Keep making videos so I can preview places to go and see. Thanks again!
I learned to single ski on Parker strip. We use to rent a big house called the Thunderbird Lodge. I'm sure it's gone now. So many memories. Thanks again Russ.🍹
If you are referring to the Thunderbird Lodge on the AZ side, my uncle used to manage the place. It's no longer there. Curious, are you talking about the 12 person cabin right on the river. There were a few cottages there. I think I remember a couple of 6 person cottages plus a handful of 4 and 2 person cabins.
Hey RVer, watching from NZ, hope you guys are ok, obviously there are water issues throughout your country, regarding catchment for Cal, i hope you have solid snowfall, keep safe, please keep filming
I know you didn't have time to visit on this trip, but have you ever visited the nearby Desert Bar and Nellie E Saloon? I think of that place when I drive this route. For those who may not know, it's a bar near here that is totally off-grid. They have solar that powers their establishment.
Good memories. The first time I visited Parker, they were recruiting people to move there so they could become a city. They succeeded beyond their hopes.
Nice video. I worked for a guy who grew up (1930s) in that area. One of his retirement spots was in Earp where I visited him in mid-80s. He took me fishing on one visit. His Polaroid big fish pic was on the bait shop wall. Great to see the area again.
we just did this drive two days ago. Chose to come home from Vegas to San Diego this way based upon your videos! so beautiful. also enjoyed going thru Quartzite!
Great video Russ just returned from our vacation in the. Philippines thanks for sharing the grandkids says hello and say your too cool for school travel well sir Lance and family
Hi Russ really enjoy your travels and I lived in Arizona in 1951-52, Douglas,Phoenix. My parents had a 48 Oldsmobile. We drove it to Montreal in 1953 Moved to El Paso in 53still live there. I’ve been on some of the trails you travel. Go Vegas rwice a yearI10 to 93 great trip. Will be nice when I11 is completed. Nice video thank you.
Can you go swimming in any of these waters? It sure is pretty… I really thank you for these videos. I will be traveling alone and it is nice to see areas that I can go on a budget.
Love this area. The drive is so cool. You almost feel like your in another world. Have a friend on the Mohave he said that lake is starting to get a bathtub ring. Wonder how long before Havasu. If things don't get wet soon i'm afraid it won't be long before we have a water war. Hope and pray.
I lived down here for years and even with the water the desert is extremely harsh and desolate. The Mojave desert is mostly scrub, palo verde and mesquite trees and the brittle bush that pops yellow flowers. The river basin that includes Bullhead City, Lake Havasu, Parker, and Yuma are one of the hottest inhabited areas in the country manly due to the low elevations in the river valley.
Hi Russ,I grew up in Parker in the early 1970's we lived at Big River,Ca.Went to school by parker dam but the school & older homes are gone now,Which I saw from your video... I am older and disable now and could never get back there!! Russ Could you PLEASE do a video on all of Big River so I can see how it has changed since the mid 70's? I Lived On Yakima Trail off of Del Rey Drive Please!!! Thank You... Joe
Like the style of the dam. Very scenic and rugged area. Enjoyed the videos of the Grand Canyon. Thanks Russ!

Greetings from Munich, Germany. I do know a lot of places you're roaming and i enjoy to re-visit those. I once rushed through this Parker dam stretch on my way to Sedona but shall add it to my list written in bold letters. (I did stay in Lake Havasu City over night but was a bit underwhelmed). I am not into RVing, staying in Hotels. Need to check out the options. Thanks for all those little video gems and keep on truckin'
We came across the top near Flagstaff the end of May and had snow, then dropped down to Chandler and it was 40 degrees warmer. It's beautiful there. Home stomping grounds. You have some friends right in Tucson Russ if you ever need a place to park for free! RVer too.
I used to Deliver food down there to the grocery stores and convenient stores milk ice cream some canned goods are used to be a pizza joint right when you got off the road there but I don’t know if it’s there anymore
Wow, thanks so much for sharing! What is the place called at 4:40 where you can get a couple free nights if you listen to their presentation? And do you have to be 25 for that? Thanks.
TY Russ for adding another destination to my bucket list, that is an amazing lake…BTW Russ have you ever been to Needles CA to check out the Sam Kinison statue…I saw it a number of years ago.
You been up to the old plateau areas sort of east/northeast of Phoenix, where they had the sheep/cattle wars? Pleasant Valley I think? It's pretty dang nice up that way as well. Arizona is, for my money, the best state out west. You are roughly five hours from the ocean, five hours from Mexico, five hours from the snowy mountains in winter and of course when you're in the valley, well you're in the valley.
The first flea market was last week. I have a home about 2 miles east of the casino on deeded property. Quit giving away my secret fishing spots Russ. Enjoy
I get quite the kick out of it everybody's complaining about a lack of water in the desert they need more water from the Colorado and here we have golf courses greener than heck in the middle of the desert using how much water for what?
Awesome ! ....Till you got in California BOO! Ive done AC servicing on some of those houses @ the 13.30 mark, Giant sliding glass double doors and a step down right to the owners dock! Nice!
Parker is one of my favourite places! Don’t know why but it always draws me in!!!

Hey I used to camp at Davis Dam . I can't believe how all that has built up!
We came across the top near Flagstaff the end of May and had snow, then dropped down to Chandler and it was 40 degrees warmer. It's beautiful there. Home stomping grounds. You have some friends right in Tucson Russ if you ever need a place to park for free! RVer too.

It's too bad it's so hot in the summer!!!
Maybe next time take a trip out to the desert bar … just outside of Parker…
What brand model number is your done, I like to get one, shows are Great.
Helpful if you add maps at end of vid so they can be observed for more than a few second s.
It looks like post apocalypse landscape
Would have liked to see the Parker BLM strip on thr CA side.
Why is it called the Bill Williams river?
I remember that the daughter of singer Johnny Tillotson died in Parker
Not disappearing like Lake Powell?
I'm still here
I get quite the kick out of it everybody's complaining about a lack of water in the desert they need more water from the Colorado and here we have golf courses greener than heck in the middle of the desert using how much water for what?
If you were a golfer you would appreciate the green grass. It’s pretty much needed. I’m sure you have interests that use up resources.
So Russ did you buy your electric bike and if so how do you like it. Gonna try and leave Yuma and head over this month
Awesome ! ....Till you got in California BOO! Ive done AC servicing on some of those houses @ the 13.30 mark, Giant sliding glass double doors and a step down right to the owners dock! Nice!
Approx 1300 miles of off road trails in this area most on BLM land
Where is the Parker Dam Boat Ramp
Havasu is closed!...lol
What’s next???❤️
