I love this part of Wyoming! Because I work in Yellowstone, I spend a lot of time driving these roads. You should take US-16 from Ten Sleep to Buffalo next time. It's a beautiful drive too. Thanks for taking me along for the ride. I miss it when I'm wintering in Arizona. Love your videos. Safe travels Russ!🙏
I love your videos for the third time I will make my dreams come true by leaving Boston next April for Arizona driving, getting to know and experiencing wonderful places. Your videos are pure life and inspiration.❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
"Wrong turns"......are NOT a "mistake". It only means, you see and discover even MORE things!!! Whenever I get off course, I always catch myself saying...."WOW!! I didn't know that was there"!!!! Take those deviations with a grain of salt, and ENJOY!!! LOVE traveling with you RVer!!!!
Beautiful roads. Drove that twice a few years ago, all the way from Toronto, Ontario. Once by myself, and once with my cousin who came over from Europe. I wanted to show how a beautiful country, so we drove all the way from Toronto to the Grand Canyon, and places in between. Saw a German tourist who stoped just south of Sheridan to admire the scenery looking back west into the mountains. He was in Heaven!!! As a kid he read all the cowboys and indians books, just like me, and wanted to see the places with his own eyes. He was in ectasy!!! A happy man. Thanks Russ for the memories.
I absolutely love Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota ❤️ This is an epic vlog ❤️ I love the Buffalo Bill Museum ❤️ I have been several times and think it’s an amazing part of American 🇺🇸 history ❤️ Cody is a special little town ❤️ I always eat at the Irma hotel when I am in town and my food has always been delicious 😋. Take care and have a Happy New Year 🎊👋 oh yeah and the Mahogany Bar at the Irma was purchased by Buffalo Bill in Paris France 🇫🇷 for $100,000.00, which was a lot of money back then and transported to New York by ship, then by train to Billings, MT then by wagon down to Cody‼️ it is something to see❤️ 👋
Russ, thanks for stopping by The Aerial Fire Fighting Museum in Greybull. I flew AirAttack for the first time in 1977 for The Calif. Div. of Forestry and we worked with C-119's, B-17's and the PB4Y2's. The PB4Y2 is the Navy version of the B-24 Bomber of WWII. I'm not certain if Fire retardant is lighter today than in years past? It was 10lbs. a gallon back in the day. There was a P2V-7 there, I flew one of them around 2000, they carried 2,500 gals. of retardant. Most if not all of those planes were owned by Hawkins & Powers based there in Greybull. They bone yard in north of the museum has a number of retired airplanes that are no longer airworthy. Anyway hope you had a nice Christmas and hoping for a wonderful New year for you sir. Thanks again!
I remember your video going over the bighorn mountain pass well. This came after I think. It was one of my favorites of yours. I know nothing about that part of our country but learned a lot. Been cold, rainy, damp and gray here on the west coast for quite awhile. Rather depressing so this video with blue skies is most appreciated. Another round of rain coming tomorrow then clearing for a couple days before more possible rain the rest of the week. Ugh. I know, we need the water bla-bla. Just the same, looking forward to blue skies and feeling the sun again. Soon. Spring is just waking up with one eye open. Cheers. 👍
Really enjoyed this video. Back in the 60s, on our family vacation we traveled to Wyoming and visited Bill Cody Museum. He and Annie Oakly were my heros growing up..lol I remember the Paintings of Charles Russell. So impressive. Thank you for showing this video.
It’s a good thing you came through the Big Horns before our big fire this year. They had Hwy 14 closed for a while due to the fire burning across the highway and then having to fix the road damage. Happy New Year and safe travels in 2025. Love your videos
GOD BLESS , UNITED STATES AMERICA , RUSS , RVERTV FANS. WE LOVE RVERTV - BEST TV ON TH-cam. HAPPY TRAILS - U.S.A. - RUSS - RVERTV FANS. HAPPY 2025 PILGRIMS.🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
This was great. I quilt and enjoy the scenery while you drive.😀 I wonder if you've ever been to the Nevada Northern Railway Museum? I've only seen a few of your videos so far, and really enjoy them. This museum was mentioned in a book I just read, and it sounds great. Real working steam engines, shops and excursions. This would be a trip my recliner and I would enjoy seeing you take! After watching with me, my husband is already plotting one for the Rushmore area in S.Dakota this spring. Thanks for sharing your travels.
Some 40 years ago I moto tent camped at the Cody KOA. It was horse friendly. Must have been 20 pickups with horse trailers. They'd unload the horses and tie them to a long rope line for the night. A real western rodeo was in Cody that night. Seemed like I was in a western for sure. 🤠🤠🦬🦬🐴🐴🐂🐂🫎🫎🫏🐎🤠🤠 WAHOO.!!
The best part of this video for me was getting to see the Air Museum in Greybull. I've driven past there three times and it's always been closed. ☹ Thanks for another great year of "armchair travel". I'm looking forward to sharing your adventures in 2025.
I had to get off the Buffalo Bill dam before you, sorry. I hate heights. So pretty riding through Wyoming. Thanks for another great trip, Russ. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and everyone of your commenters.
At about the 2:08:00 time mark, when Russ pans the horizon northwards from the Big Horn Mountains, I was trying to see if you could see Devil's Tower way out there, but it was not visible. Must be just below the horizon.
Devil’s Tower from this point is still about 150 miles east. When I lived in Gillette the very top was visible on top of a certain hill in town. And that was about 50 miles away.
I get why some people might be hesitant about living in the Intermountain West in the winter. In the Montana town where I live, we had 40 below zero last January.
You must have blinked and missed Dayton. Towards the end, when you say, "this is Dayton," it's actually Ranchester, 5 miles up the road from Dayton. In any event, Happy New Year!
Russ or who else has been to Bills museum. What is the cost of admission? Russ mentioned it was pricy and I thought I had heard a year ago it was like $5.oo .😮
Loved the vid and ghost plane. But you made no noteworthy mention of the sweet squirrel crossing your path while approaching the squirrel on your e-bike? You always usually make mention of critters... @1:29 mark. Got purdy close to em....

Russ, your videos confirm what I already knew, America is the best country in the world

Hello again, RVerTV, Russ. Thanks for taking us all along, Yay👍
Thanks for watching!
Another excellent video!! At first I thought it may be too long being over 2 hours long, but it went by fast! I enjoy every minute of it!!

My favorite museum. Was in Cody about 5 years ago, makes me ant to go back.
Magnificent !

It is a great museum and they have a lot of neat exhibits!
When you got to Sheridan things started looking familiar. Thanks for taking me to awesome scenic places I’ve never been.
That museum is beautiful 😍
World would be a better place if everyone had to Travel and see more..
😮My wife, youngest daughter and myself were in Cody back in Jul. Dang, we missed you. Yes, Cody is an awesome place and WY is just amazing.😎

great work Russ. I was just there last October.
Another great adventure by russ👍
2:00:37. One of those growled at me one morning while I was camping with my brother and his daughter in the Uintas in Northern Utah.
There's more firearm's in Cody Wyoming per capita than anywhere else on earth... I'm fortunate to live in the neighborhood.
God Bless❤Have a happy New Year Russ🎉

@@mattanderson6336 Thanks for the response Matt. Very interesting.
THAT WOS GREAT SUCH A NICE PLACE HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR NEXT WEEK
Happy new year!
Great video, I watch from Florida. I believe You forgot one thing to say, "Check it out" (lol)
Lol, good catch on "check it out".
Major Grizzly bear habitat near Cody and the surrounding areas. Carry bear spray when hiking or fishing and be alert!
Happy New Year and wishes for safe travels.
Where's the snow,Russ?
I get why some people might be hesitant about living in the Intermountain West in the winter. In the Montana town where I live, we had 40 below zero last January.
I’ve been to his place in North Platt, very interesting.
You must have blinked and missed Dayton. Towards the end, when you say, "this is Dayton," it's actually Ranchester, 5 miles up the road from Dayton. In any event, Happy New Year!
Look at the looong legs. You hit one they go right through the windshield. Deadly
How many miles do you have on that van???
What happened to the snow?
Russ or who else has been to Bills museum. What is the cost of admission? Russ mentioned it was pricy and I thought I had heard a year ago it was like $5.oo .😮
23.00$
My wife would like that ebike ride!
40:41. Reno, NV has a well known rodeo each June.
Early 1900's Buffalo Bill was most famous person in the world.
it looks like the other three you've been to
that I've seen video of
Loved the vid and ghost plane. But you made no noteworthy mention of the sweet squirrel crossing your path while approaching the squirrel on your e-bike? You always usually make mention of critters... @1:29 mark. Got purdy close to em....
Hello Russ from Phoenix
We need a national fishing license!
We did this route in a 40 foot motorhome. .
I hear the center of the world is in Wisconsin check that one out
My grandpa saw Buffalo Bill when he was a boy.
There is a giant Tesla coil in Hot springs Arkansas
👍
Love the history, but Wild Bill Hickok and Buffalo Bill are not the same!
🎉

My wife would like that ebike ride!
