Ron Howard talks about an early childhood role he took on General Electric Theater's "Mr. O'Malley" which led to his being cast as Opie on the Andy Griffith Show. For the full-length interview with Ron Howard visit www.emmytvlegen...
He graduated HS with a good friend of mine from the Marine Corps....I was introduced to Ronnie back in the early 70s and he was a very nice gent. I have supported his films over the years and I will agree all of them were excellent. Glad he made it over the years and moved beyond the "Opie" character. The best show he did was the "dead bird" show where Opie kills a bird with his sling shot...at the end of that show Opie and Andy say it best.
In 64 years of life, I have NEVER heard so much as criticism about Ron Howard. He is probably the most decent, GOOD thing to ever have come out of Hollyweird!!!
Who would have thought that "Opie" would turn out to be such a talented director of films?
he was a good actor now he's a good director
oh little did he know what a career this part would lead to. nice job ron
I can't help but hearing "Well's Fargo Wagon" in my head while watching this. LOL
Hard work pays off, luck will only take you so far but hard work will pick up where luck stopped. I hear folks saying he's blessed and got lucky at an early age but they don't mention anything about the work and dedication he's put in throughout his life to get to where he is.
Just goes to show how some lives are simply blessed, while others are continuous struggles without success.
when my sister and i saw the movie Apollo i told her you are not going to believe who did this movie. Remember that little boy from Andy...
i believe acting help him be a great director
Good actor
And an extraordinary director!
Ron Howard is so handsome !!!
Love Ron Howard. Hate his left wing politics.
Well naturally dude. The opposite of right is left, duh.
cute little boys sure change!!!!!
Yeah. I love Ron but I never did like for people to wear baseball caps especially to cover baldness. My dad was bald except for hair on the sides and back and he didn't wear a cap and he looked good.
