It is the exact same for me….when I have the TV on it this show that I watch 95% of the time! Such a classic and touches the heart and brings real from the soul laughter! I’ve never found a show that I love more… A close runner up is Little House on the Prairie.

I watch it on Pluto. When the tv. is on is mostly on the Andy Griffith show. Is such a wholesome and heart warming show. I love it SO VERY MUCH! 😍 and I didn't even grow up in the United States. But It makes me feel like I have. It's definitely comfort food for the soul. Maybe it has to do in part with those good old days gone long ago. In a way I wish I was living in those days.

I believe we still do. You've seen the TH-cam videos where a guy orders 100 food items, the restaurant ask what he's gonna do with them, tells him he's going to hand them out to the homeless. Inevitably restaurant usually donates the food, it's handed out to the people who are all so appreciative and thank him. Don't let all the vile stuff you see on the news or Twitter make you think that's the way everything is. They just cherry pick everything bad. The good stuff doesn't make the news. 99.9% of the general public I interact with on any given day seem polite and kind. Of course there's always exceptions 🙂

@@BAKER22-l4uJust because you don’t like the show, even though you are in the comment section of a video all about the show 😂, doesn’t mean it’s not one of the all time greatest in TV history. No one gives a fuck about your gd opinion in the first place. Second, you understand how tv ratings and things work don’t you? And it’s obvious how much the show was well liked just by reading all the comments. Seeing how only a couple of ppl, mainly you though, have talked shit about the show. The other 98% of comments are all in favor of it. So looking at just those numbers tells you how well received the Andy Griffith show really was. You won’t understand how it all works tho. Last question for you, when you need something at a store do you drive yourself or does someone else drive you there? My guess would be that second option 😮😂🤔😆. Hopefully you have taken your own life and your families by now so we no longer have to deal with your nonsense.

This show wasn't just loved in the US and Canada, it was also beloved in Australia because Aussies understood the small town vibe of the show. I vividly remember watching the show with my parents as a little kid. We'd be in front of our Astor (local Aussie brand) 21" b/w tv just loving every minute of every episode. I think the reason why my family loved the show (and I suppose most families did) was because of the natural warmth the actors created. And yes, we laughed WITH the actors, not at them. Vale to all the actors portrayed in this reunion show. All of them not only created a great tv show but cultural history. They engendered a love for the simple values underlying the US in every nation which took the show. I know that I have an abiding love for the US as our cousins across the sea.

I watched the Andy Griffith Show from the time I was a young child. Later on, my work was in Law Enforcement and though some may laugh, I remembered a lot of how 'Sheriff Taylor' did his job on the show and often dealt with the citizens in much the same as I thought he would have treated them. I never had complaints of excessive force made against me or such. I feel that the influence of his character on the show was part of the reason.

As years have marched on, I’ve watched these episodes with my children and my grandchildren and tell each of them that I was that little too when we watch Opey. These shows were pivotal to watch with my Mom as I cared for her in her home while her life was ending four years ago. We laughed and reminisced about those simpler times in life in all the subject matters that were the heart of each show. Don't fear growing old it is a gift not bestowed upon many. Fear not death and have no regrets. Love is the glue that makes all of this possible. When the world seems so cold there are such reminders of this especially in shows such as this. We need better tv shows now days. The vulgarity of modern tv reminds me of how things have to be better. Not in any mean or military sense but in a sense of humour and in a sense of honour.

Only a very few shows have endured in peoples lives like the Andy Griffith show has. Im soon to be 65 and Ive watched it ever since I can remember as a small child. I literally at times wish I had grown up in Mayberry especially in todays broken world. I still see it play on weekdays at seven PM and often find myself watching a favorite episode to take my mind off todays hot mess of a world. God bless Andy and the whole cast for the laughs and important morals and ethics they imparted on us in such an entertaining way. This show literally made me a better person in many ways when I would catch certain episodes that often had a life lesson that made one think and learn about whats really important in life.

The whole reunion was awesome to watch, but the part at the end where they said goodbye and Andy told Ron that he loved him really got me emotional. This is a show I've watched since I was around 5 or 6 when I would visit my grandparents on the weekends, and I still re-run it every year. I'm only 28, but it just goes to show how incredible a show this is that even people who were born long after it was being made can still love it and cherish it as if they lived it the same way Andy, Don, Ron, and all the other actors did.

Why can’t life be like this in 2020 as it was in 1960 ? Even though this was a television show it still reflected a better time , when people had morals and values . Time traveler take me back !!! this show was magnificent and shall always remain as a reminder as how life SHOULD BE ! Look around at our world today ..... what would you give to go back to this time and place? It’s only fictional, don’t we wish life today was too?

I could not say it better. Well written. I say the same every every day of my life. Now, we live in a dangerous, unsafe world, where more people worry more about themselves. In some way we have became uncivilized.

Opie was by far, THE cutest, must talented little kid!❤❤❤
I loved ALL of Opies episodes.
One of my favorite episodes was when, Opie played a sore track loser.😊
One of my Barney favorites was when he tried to say the Preamble. 😂
I absolutely loved, when Andy sang and played the guitar.😊

Wow.. That last moment they were saying goodbye broke me.
My heart aches for such simple times as they had in Mayberry..
There will never be another program that will even come close..

@@88mphsss Agreed, but why did they have to kill-off the mothers in those two series? I loved 'Aunt Bee', but I think a real mother would have sufficed.

@@MrMenefrego1 I like the widower aspect. It takes away the sexual element entirely and allows the focus to remain on being a father, and by having an aunt or father in-law living in the house, it emphasizes a healthy family dynamic. If it were today they'd make a big deal out of in-law friction, or deserving compensation for their housework.

I watched this as a kid. I'm 55, my husband is 61. We watch it now on Pluto TV. It's the best!! It always had a lesson to learn, a moral to every episode. And it was good clean fun 😃❤️!!

I’m 19 years old but my parents raised me on Andy Griffith and all the old classics. They are simply the best and this episode was so heartwarming. It’s timeless and I’m grateful to be able to know what it’s all about

My dad used to love watching this show when I was a kid but at the time I didn't care for it and just wanted to watch cartoons. Now that my dad's gone, I come back to watch this sometimes. Makes me feel like I'm watching it with him again. I've definitely learned to appreciate it
