    I ordered the quattro version last week. Out of all the cars I’ve tried, Q4 45 Quattro Sport was a far better option in its segment.

    Thanks for a really useful and informative review. Too many reviewers focus on how long it takes to get from 0-60mph or how it's engined, when most of us want to know about range, whether there are buttons or touchscreen, and how easy it is to get people or objects in and out.

    Had this car for 7 months, love the car, looks great and very practical. Charging over night you can run this for about £12 a month for 300 miles. Octapus go, 7p per kw overnight.
    Cons, the buttons on steer wheels you touch by mistake when driving!!!! Number of times the volume keeps going up.
    I’ve had it break on me twice and Audi were totally horrendous trying to fix it. It just stopped on me in a multi storey car park and said battery fault. Audi dealership said there was nothing wrong with it. I’m hoping the new update takes care of all the bugs (version 3.2).

      Hope it gets sorted! Being in the industry every car is prone to issues (ICE or EV). Hope that’s all it is :)

    Hey Gok,
    Great review, and I like the way you clearly alternate between the subjective and objective. You’ve addressed some of my concerns with EVs but one (a sticking point) remains. IMO they are less convenient than ICE because;
    1- a home charger (as you highlighted) is crucial.
    2- public charging points don’t receive the same care/attention as a fuel station.
    3- driver style aside, the parameters that are recommended to drive within (including cold weather constraints) are greater than a typical ICE.
    I wonder if infrastructure dissuades more people from purchasing EVs, it definitely does me…
    Good job 👍👍👍

    • @GoksCarLounge
      @GoksCarLounge  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Mike, thank you very much for watching! :)
      I agree, there is a long way to go for EV to win over the court of public opinion. I am a long way away from owning one, with better regulations with regards to charge points in the coming years... maybe. Just maybe. Regardless, its made the industry rather interesting :)

    55quid to charge???

    • @GoksCarLounge
      @GoksCarLounge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes mate. Hurt my heart. 0.79pkwh x 76.6kwh = £60.50 less the fact that it wasn’t “empty” hence £55 hope that made sense?

    • @ThomasSlaney
      @ThomasSlaney ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s highway robbery! Pricing options for EVs here in the US, VW is giving away 3 years of free DC charging with the ID.4… here though the issue is driving through rural America there are few chargers and half are already broken. Audi doesn’t have the financial incentives currently of the ID.4 ($7500 govt rebate, etc) but definitely seems like the better vehicle in terms of comfort and build quality. Is the infotainment system any good?

    • @GoksCarLounge
      @GoksCarLounge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not 100% but I think they’re on the same chassis. I was really impressed with the build quality as a whole considering the class of car. Infotainment can do with some streamlining. I just used Apple car play most of the time and worked perfect.

  • @mrg6908
    @mrg6908 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    It could have been a great car but isn't. Having come to the Q4 from an Audi saloon the fit, finish and quality of the interior is not in the same league. The standard equipment is woeful, 1 reversing indicator, 1 fog lamp, no front parking sensors, you dont even get springs/clamps in the cup holders! Rear camera is essential, but not standard. The standard headlights are terrible on country lanes. The software just beggars belief that something so buggy and fault ridden got through to production and it doesnt get updates! As a car though, it drives well!

      And it’ll cost twice as much as it would to cover 500 miles in an EV, not sure how often you climb into a car and drive 500 miles in one shot, but in the UK that’s going to take you the length of the entire country.
