Not sure if it’s different. But I have the MSI G63 with the I5 10500H and GTX 1650. All I’ve done to it is upgraded the ram to 16GB(2x8GB sticks) of 2933mhz DDR4 and swapped out the 256GB NVMe SSD to a 1TB Gen 3 NVMe Samsung SSD as well as threw in another 1TB 2.5inch Sata SSD. My laptop also has a single fan. I overclocked the GPU +140mhz on the core and 500mhz on the memory. So far I have played Dishonored 2, Divinity Original Sin 2, Halo Infinite, World of Warcraft, Witcher 3, Street Fighter V, Sekiro, The Outer Worlds, Doom Eternal, and Borderlands 3. My CPU and GPU temps while gaming never go over 70C. The CPU usually hangs around 67-68C and the GPU around 65C. That’s on extreme performance mode with fans on auto without Cooler Boost enabled. I use a Cooler Master cooling pad which has no fans on it. It just keep the laptop propped up around 4-6 inches off the ground so it gets good fresh air always. So the cooling is being done completely by the single internal fan. If your laptop gets that hot to where games are unplayable you have an issue and something is wrong. Thermal paste doesn’t need replaced in less than two years. It doesn’t wear out that fast. My desktop PC is about as good as one can get. Ryzen 5900X/RTX 3080 ti, 32GB 3600mhz ram, 1000 watt EVGA G3 Supernova PSU, X570 Asus board, all on a custom loop with two Gen 4 2TB NVMe game drives and a 1TB Gen 3 NVMe C drive. I am use to playing all games maxed out at 1440P normally at 144 fps if not higher in most. Given this laptop only has a 10500H and GTX 1650 it surprised the shit out of me. I just wanted something to light gaming when I travel for work. So far it’s played basically anything I want at high-very high settings 1080P around a solid 60 fps. For example Witcher 3 I play on Ultra settings with Nvidia hair works turned off and foliage visibility set to medium. Everything else on Ultra and it basically stays at 60 fps locked. Temps never go over 70C and the monitor looks descent. So unless the cooling system was changed drastically from your model to mine then you have a major issue if your laptop is getting that hot as both your CPU and GPU are prior to mine and slightly lower performing. I have the same laptop just a year newer. 2020 edition of the MSI G63 thin and light. I got mine on sale for 499.99. I have to say for the price I am very very pleased with it. I have no issues or cons for what I paid. 500 bucks for a descent gaming laptop and that’s exactly what it is. If it has the 1 TB secondary HDD, that means you have a nice little slot for a 2.5" SATA drive, be it HDD or SSD. I recently upgraded from the original 1 TB HDD to a 2 TB SSD, by the way. Though it was also a replacement because the HDD was dying and losing sectors. The primary drive the OS will be on will be the M.2 SSD and it will be roughly 256 GB. So you may want to use your secondary drive where you can and sometimes even use symlinks to force data onto the secondary drive.

hows the heating issue in loud fan noise in MSI GF63????????
Would this work for editing video footage from DJI drones and GoPros? I record in 4K up to 240 frames per second and need to edit. I don’t play video games though.
Have you used it for editing videos? Can it handle many layers in premeire?
In 1080p yes, in 4k it will struggle
How many games could I get with this? I’m looking for good storage
Most of them contain 1tb max and the lowest is 256gb
depned on the game you like AAA indie or light to heavy.
Im not a AAA gamer but I do have over 40 games in my library from 512gb shrink down to 180gb left.
I want to use it for stable difussion and 3d rendering (c4d-octane) is it convenient?
like budget top machine yes,i can saying its a top but with 16 gb of ram
put something underneath the laptop pls
hows the heating issue in loud fan noise in MSI GF63????????
i am bying another mechanical keyboard itself becuse this laptop has the best specification for coding any ways i needed a new keyboard and mouse too
Had to do the same :D
Hi guys, how is the typing experience on this laptop? I will use it for coding and gaming both. For gaming i see lots of good reviews but what about coding experience. I hope keyboard is solid and don't have any shake while typing.
It really is solid and also it is a 60% keyboard. For coding you dont really need much performance.Only if you use game engines like unity but not even there is much needed.Hope this helps
if you actually mentain the laptop it will mentain good thermals , especially science i have teh 2023 version wich doesnt consume enough to make my laptop get over 85 c
Should i get msi gp66 leopard ?
I really like your bag and I want to buy one so can you provide a link for that😅😅
Its mi travel backpack check on xiaomi's website :D
THE TOP IS MADE OF ALLLUMINIUM BTW LOL
your review could have been more decent. What about Premiere? After Effects? Photoshop and so on? How does it work, what about heat problems during those apps or what about the fan? Does ist have a decent fan control software or shortcuts?
Can it run gta 5?
Of course it can, I'm getting the i5 11th Gen with the rtx 3050 and it can even run cyberpunk with high graphics at about 60 fps
You’re Bad Performance is probably because, You have a threat or virus. And maybe Another reason why its not running smooth performance could be because of the Msi Dragon Center Settings. And think like this: u Have juice u drink it to the max. Finishing it. Forced to buy a new one. So what i am saying is u ised max setting expecting to get No Lag. U don’t, but u use it to much. Then it causez to lag
Why sounds like Indian pronounce
Get englis classes pls
But great camera work
I will buy a laptop, what should I choose?
msi gf63
core i5 gen 11
rtx 3050 max q
or
msi gf63
core i7 gen 11
gtx 1650
i7 for sure
go for i5 with 3050.
3050 has new Architecture and will have better perf. than 1650 which is almost 2yrs old now.
It's the worst product
Redo
Had a really bad experience. The laptop surface and keys on the left side heats up extremely. So much heat that it becomes unsafe to touch. And the company is not taking their responsibility for this. Bought it in May 2023
This is the laptop:
MSI Core i7 11th Gen - (16 GB/1 TB HDD/256 GB SSD /Windows 11 Home/4 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650) GF63 Thin 11SC-1298IN Gaming Laptop
Their support , technical and warranty team in India has a very very poor performance. They do not understand the seriousness of this issue as it can really hurt the user and many of them are kids.
Extremely Disappointed in MSI. Its a genuine review. Not expecting any money back, but just want to spread the words for the safety of people.

How did you make it look so cool? The wallpaper is lively? And how do you get those gui on your screen that shows ram etc
Yes i use lively wallpaper and that gui is just msi's dragon centre software.
