Lec11 - Synthesizing Peptides and the Merrifield Synthesis

In this video we describe how to tackle forming oligopeptides from individual amino acids in homogeneous solution. Emphasis is placed on the proper use of protecting groups. Finally, the Merrifield synthesis of amino acids, using a solid support, is described and illustrated to demonstrate its efficiency and versatility.
