    I don't understand why this show isn't on the same level of a cultural phenomenon as Breaking Bad or Mad Men. It is easily the best written and acted drama on TV right now and I just don't get how this show's audience isn't bigger.

      Too many action junkies who think a character focused show is "slow" and "boring". They are missing out on the brilliance of The Americans, but I think it'll retrospectively be regarded very highly, kind of like The Wire that had low ratings but is now regarded as an amazing work of art.

      Outback Sam It's a show for thinking people and its brilliance goes over a lot of couch potatoes heads.

    I can't believe he asked that stupid question about working with your significant other TWICE just to try&get an answer or soundbite. That's such a tired question that nobody cares about&she gets asked all the time anyway. At least she tried to be a good sport about it&artfully dodged the question both times until she was pressed.

    Quite funny how Elizabeth was in full and spotless makeup and "sexy clothes" during her training session with Paige. That happened a lot throughout the show -- her looking spotless and sexy where she really shouldn't have been (i.e. in a home environment or in a fight)
    The authors/directors sure liked to shamelessly abuse Keri's amazing looks to the max. At one point I even stopped minding it hehehe... ;]

    The show is a master piece by all means, you get to know how fucked up the mainstream viewers are when such valuable shows ignored for other shallow fantasy and dungeon and dragon stuff that holds nothing but some dark fairy tales and sudden deaths!

    Keri brought such authenticity to the part - dangerous - lovable - scary and of course sexy - a spy who came in from the cold and returned to it.

    The interviewer needs to learn how to ask questions in ways that will get him the answers he is seeking, and time down his own feelings while interviewing. Being more calm and less confrontational can get you more information from your subjects.

    Elizabeth has basically become a serial killer in the last season. I've enjoyed the show; but, any ending that doesn't kill her off will not be satisfying.

    • @talaxian1
      @talaxian1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I completely agree. I've been hoping Stan figures things out since the end of season 2. Elizabeth is a heartless killer. Philip at least has a conscience..

    • @candysays100
      @candysays100 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      this last season is changing that. And assuming that Elizabeth doesn't grapple with that is silly. She's just better at compartmentalizing it than Phillip and she's way more private and reserved with her emotions.

    I hate Donald Trump but what kind of question is the first one, why would a show touch on events that happen 20 years in the future.

    • @_vakas
      @_vakas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can hate him but he has a very good concept of what most of the Americans want and need, and also put his time and energy into international affairs for four years straight. That's commendable, and honorable. I mean the guy was never into politics and here he comes succeeding where these "great politicians" failed. I don't understand why you hate a person who has brought upon far more good than bad. It's also not a coincidence that an overwhelming majority who oppose Trump happen to be the same people who put their time and energy into biased news sources, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TH-cam channels that just so happen to be hard left. Manipulation fuels the left far more than it does the right. That's not to say the right hasn't made terrible choices in the past either, but in comparison, mental slavery from the left is far worse than the occasional manipulation that comes from the right side. Maintaining the power of the people is an absolute responsibility yet you see millions of people nowadays attempting to "abolish guns, destroy the police", it is clear that this is a game our government has been playing for generations. Divide and conquer, then impose full control over the population. There is an internal struggle in the government as we speak, and it couldn't be any more obvious. There needs to be a third party to prevent this shitshow from going on any longer.
