I tested a long-range and bought a rear-wheel version. The tesla people told me the two versions had the same noise insulation, but I think they were wrong and misinformed me. The long-range is a quieter. Wind noise is no problem in the highland rear-wheel version, but road noise, especially on rough surfaces, is notable and annoying. I think I will buy some better tires soon.
The braking results are interesting, because they are quite good for this effency tires but the 2022 Performance with P-Zero Tires not braking beetter seems quite strange

@@tavi7 Nope. Whenever I change from my winter Nokian Hakkapeliitta r5 to the stock summer Hankooks I immediately notice significant road noise increase
Interesting and perhaps somewhat disappointing results from the noise test. Do I understand correctly that this particular Tesla Model 3 Highland, with these particular tires, is as loud as your first generation Tesla Model 3 from 2019, with some soundproofing? Or, to put it into another perspective, it is louder than a VW ID. Buzz van? This does not sound very good for Tesla, unfortunately.
I wonder if the results are accurate. I measured: - model 3 LR 2019: 65dB @100km/h (Michelin cross climate 2) - model 3 RWD 2024: 59dB @100km/h (Michelin summer tyres with noise foam) - bmw i4 e40 with fat tyres: 59dB @100km/h All was measured within the same hour on the same road, lane and stretches , driving same gps speed, with the Apple Watch in exactly the same spot in front of my chest.
I currently own the new model 3 highland and every other Tesla S3XY and it is much quieter on the inside than all the other cars and even quieter than some German cars.
It's not even that good. Only real advantage is efficiency and that's basically it. Build quality, interior cabin space, overall range, breaking capabilities, light technology, NVH, tech feautures like HUD or V2L, charging speed is all average or below average. You get a basic EV with some good driving metrics, but the rest really is nothing special. It's a quite a pricey economy car if you compare it to the overall car market and economy cars always had some good amount of appeal to customers but this often just isn't really the sweet spot for the best value-for-money. In China the market conditions are on a whole different level and EVs with more range, way more charging speed, more tech features like LiDAR and HUD, and with faster infotainment system with the latest NVIDIA chip inside cost even less than this basic Model 3. Zeekr 007 is just one out of many examples. It charges from 10-80% in under 11min with its 75kWh golden LFP battery. 0-100kmh / 0-62mph is 5sec flat and it has around 520-530km WLTP range (616km CLTC). And those are just the stats of the basic entry level version. The Zeekr 007 is not yet available in Western Markets tho but other options will be. So if we are speaking about tech then Teslas are average and premium Western and Chinese manufacturers offer more features and more premium comfort. If we are speaking about value for money than Teslas are also kinda average nowadays.

Still a sheet box. Squeaky steering wheel and driver seat moving a few mm… Can’t stand my M3H… Tesla saws this is normal. Also right (Autopilot) scroll wheel turning AP off with 1 second delay. Downright dangerous.

was this a highland?
I also registered alot of roadnoise during my testdrive here in Norway.67db is alot.
maybe its the high efficciency tires, rubber and tire design to use less energy.

Winter tires are softer to get a better grip in cold weather and being softer will offer more sound insulation
Wrong and wrong.
Winter tyres are way louder both outside the car and inside. Also nothing beats summer tyres in dry breaking above 5°C
@@tavi7 ^ this....also I see them coming south on holidays look at those tires and feel sorry for the next pedestrian jumping the crosswalk
@@tavi7 I suppose if there is aggressive tread you would be correct.

Highland RWD feels slow till 70kmph in comparison with my old 2019 SR+

Polestar 2 drives like with open windows compare to highland.

Typo on the weight of the Highland. 1860 not 1680 😊
Corrected already

What is the name of the car where Bjorn is sitting in this video? As for me, it looks like Xpeng's interior...
Could be the new Xpeng G6…
Same same, but different
Nerfed acceleration hard enough to make (high-end) MEBs look quick.🤣
Model 3 RWD/SR+ acceleration is the same for the last 3 model years (22 23 24)

bra !
When people catch up with how good this is...
Until they test the blinkers out of roundabouts
The improvements seem to be very limited according to Björns test in the video

Yes, those Michelin tyres are not the best
Michelin Primacy always been rubbish tyres, poor wet braking, poor handling, noisy and fall off a cliff when they get low on tread.
