    Also if this is done on hobbyist tank could one do a once daily water change at end of last feeding? Any advice?

  • @StanTheObserver-lo8rx
    @StanTheObserver-lo8rx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Its what I tell people. You get two to pair off..put them by themselves in a bare tank..no sand or gravel of metal halide lights and lots of plants..none of that.
    I've seen some beautiful bare tanks..with low but quality lighting that really makes colors pop,and painted a nice dark blue bottom and back..and nothing but a pair of large fat happy Discus. Maybe a java fern on a driftwood. Just a mimimist look. Elegant even.
    Great your talking beefheart. I think of it as Tubifex without the polluted waters or worm intestines that can harbor who knows what. Once fish acclimate to it?..that and any high shrimp content food is all the balance you need.

    😊Hello Gabe, I'm currently raising the discus babies artificially. The parents had started eating them when they swam free for a day and started eating mucus from the parents. The little ones are now 14 days old. My question is: What food can I feed you in addition to the artemia, at what age can I give frozen food, freeze-dried artemi and beef heart? I make the beef heart food according to your recipe and the large discus fish like it very much. Thank you very much and stay healthy 😊

Gabriel is a well-established discus expert with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with us - Thanks for putting out these videos, Gabriel! - and the fish I have bought from Wattley Discus over the years, raised by Gabriel himself, are some of the most beautiful and robust fish I have ever owned.
