  • How do you stop the infamous 30-day syndrome when raising baby discus fish? We use potassium permanganate. In our hatchery we have a 200-gallon system and based on my measurements, we use two grams for the entire system. We're going to show you how we do it in our system but remember one thing - this is for the professionals and your measurements will be different.

What i should have do, If the color of PP don't chance?
My tank have the purple color for about one hour and the color stay the same or low diference, the fishes are fine and i put the hydrogen peroxide because i have afrais to sicken the fries.
I made right or i can let the PP react as long as need.

I can pour the permanganate directly into the aquarium, or dilute first, since I don't have a sump, I can do it in the community aquarium with plants, botia palhaço, coridoras etc ... thank you very much and good work

Pp powder is super highly concentrated. Can understand the unit of measurement used as they are likely of 99% concentrate.
But h2o2? I have seen 12%, 3% concentrations. For an example of 5ml/10 gal, what kind of concentration are we looking at? 3%? 1%? Or 20% as they make alot of difference and h2o2 can burn skins if not handled well or at high concentration.
