P07. IMO it's like comparing an automatic gearbox to a stick. P07 just feels more "manual" as it comes to the shooter's decision - double action pull, cocked and locked, decocker or a safety - better control of the instrument, et cetera. The P10C is metaphorically like an automatic gearbox - it does the job, but feels bad.
I went with the P-07 over the P-10C because I’ve already got a Glock 19 and wanted a DA/SA. No regrets, I’m astonished with CZ’s value. It feels like a $1,000+ gun. I’ve had exactly 0 hiccups with 1,000 rounds through it and it just keeps getting smoother and smoother. I hate to say it but my Glock feels cheap and crude in comparison.
I did not like my P07 out of the box. A CGW pro kit and an MCarbo spring kit plus the kind of internal polishing I do on Any pistol & this one is sweet. 8.0 lb smooth as silk DA 3.5 SA. 2.0mm reset btw reduced power trigger return spring & 14# hammer spring make the greatest felt difference. these are the least expensive & are rather easy to watch a video & do. But only if I use a slave pin & a frustrating failure when I didn't
Having just got into da/sa with my p-09 I am really liking the change from striker fire . I also purchased the Kadet Conversion kit for 22 lr . Luckily we don't have to choose only one . Maybe a p-10 down the road but I don't feel a need to rush out and get one since I already have a M&P 2.0 and a PPQ . Thinking seriously about an all metal da/sa . The other issue is aftermarket parts and I think a Glock 17 would be great since it is so easy to swap parts . All the fire arms you have shown are great . The Steyr's the CZ's the M&P's etc . Look foward to your vids .
It's been four-plus years since you did this video. I have one of each. The P10C became my EDC after my P10S (the longer grip works well for me). Over time, my understanding of the DA/SA trigger got me to try the P07, and for EDC, the DA/SA trigger is more comfortable mentally for me compared to a striker-fired gun. As much as I like the idea of the Omega trigger, though, I found the 75D PCR decocker easier to operate, and the PCR is likely to become my EDC going forward.
Very good comparison video, took so long to stumble up your video in my you tube recommendations. I do own a po-7 od green, installed mcarbo spring kit with cgw trigger return spring to make the trigger better fox me. I do have a p-10F 45 acp to compare to the 97bd. Although I believe the the p10f 45 is a wonderful handgun, I think the 97bd feels better in my hand, recoil impulse is much lees probably due to its increased weight and it shoots much better for me. As a sde note it was a holy grail gun for me, such a long journey to find one locally at a great price very slightly used. The p10f I-got was very slightly used but 9:10 honestly it looked liked it was never fired. December13th in MI 2022, fighting my second bout of covid this year in day four. Merry Christmas to all!
Great comparison between the two very detailed! I have 5 CZs which includes a P10C! I love it! My next purchase in the future will be the CZ 75 TSO in 9mm!
One thing not mentioned about the slide height difference is the ease of racking the slide. My wife was unable to rack the slide on my P-07 but had no problem with "taller" pistols like my px4. Just something you might not realize until you shoot with someone with weaker fingers.
I got the P10c first and loved it. Bought the P07 a couple of years later, and it's replaced the P10c as my home defense. I still shoot the P10c a lot, especially in my local league. Really, you can't go wrong with either.
I own both and they are excellent firearms. I carried both as well. In a setting where someone might grab my firearm OWB I would tend to use the P-07 with safety on. It might provide more time to disarm the perp if he is unfamiliar with the firearm. However, I consider it a draw when comparing the P10 and P07. The reason; I have an HB trigger on my P-10 @ 3.5 lbs. and my P-07 has a Cajun Gunwork Pro Carry package with a full length guide rod installed. This set up makes my P-07 DA action 5.5 lbs. and 3.25 SA. Being a 1911 fan I like cocked and locked. I think is more reliable with a hard primer if you need to re-cock hammer for second strike rather than rack the slide to eject a bad round. As he said the feel of the P-10 is a tad more comfortable, feels lighter and a tad thinner for IWB concealment. But the extra weight of the P-07 feels better for extended range time with +P loads. So basically it comes down to Col. Jeff Cooper conditions of carry. I always carry Condition One. Round in the chamber safety on, if equipped. If you decide on the same, you need to have confidence and skill to carry a striker fire pistol. The P-07 provides a next level of confidence in Condition One. You carry with a chamber round in double action similar to wheel guns or 'cocked and locked' like a 1911. This will provide a higher level of confidence and safety for new shooters and for some who just don't feel comfortable with what a striker offers. This is a little winded of a comparison. I hope you find it informative.
I have converted to a hammer fired DA/SA guy. Which means I need to add a Springfield XDe to my collection when I am sure they have no kinks to work out of it. Oh, CZ P07 for me, of course.
I own both and have carried both. Both are awesome shooters at the range. After taking a defensive pistol class a few months ago I decided I'm only gonna carry a striker fired pistol for better accuracy on the first shot. So for that reason the p10 would get the edge for me. Bur again both are awesome, great video and topic dude!
Great video. You answered several questions I hadn't thought to ask. I don't like training with a striker fired pistol from appendix. Too much room for error when re-holstering. XD or 1911 or dbl action are much safer for appendix carry.

Nice video. I bought a CZ P07 Urban Grey for Christmas, beautiful gun, next is going to be the CZ P10c. My P07 came with plus 2 magazine base pad. I've been looking online to buy the flush mag base pad, but I can't find those. Do you know where I can buy those? Thanks
I have both. I go with the P10C all day long over the P07. Is the P07 a bad hand gun? Not at all it's a very good gun. But, the P10C has a far superior trigger, and to me when I am at the range that really separates these 2 guns. I have recently replaced the P07 trigger assembly with a mcarbo aftermarket trigger kit. It is a very noticeable improvement but still not quite to the P10C standard. And of course there is always the old double action, single action pro's and cons. That being said I would not discourage anyone from snagging a P07 if a hammer fired gun is more to your liking.
I'believe' that you can swap the mag release to be ambidextrous. Please correct if I'm wrong. However the Cz is a phenomenal pistol in every respect. I trust mine as my age edc. Agreed also that the finish is probably the best on the current market; my biggest gripe about my Glocks.
I am looking at both and the cz pcr.. the p10 shoots great but the pcr does also.. I would like to be able to carry the gun I decide on.. any thoughts on the difference between the pcr and the p 10c when it comes to a carry gun ..
Just bought a P07 mainly because i could get it in 40 cal just waiting for it to come in. Looking for a PCR or P01 but good luck finding either of those. I have a Sig P320 compact so not a big issue as far as a 9mm goes but if i get another 9 i want the PCR or least P01. Now if only someone would make a 10mm in something like this or the Sigs P320 .

Unfornately will be a few days before i get to run it thru its paces weather here is pretty bad here at the moment. My LGS is on the look out for either a PCR or the P01 so hopefully soon ill have 1 of those. Kinda want the PCR more just because i never use rails on any of my guns but would be happy with the P01 as well. Like your videos on the CZ helped me to deside on trying 1 out really appreicate them.

On a more serious note you may have Parkinson'sa. I hope you got that tremble looked at cause it's more evident in this video than others in the past. I am a fan of CZs.....#CZ4LIFE. That is one ugly rear sight on that P-07, get rid of those XS Sights, get some Dawson Sights. Love my (2) CZ P-07s, one Urban and one black. Cajunized guts will do wonders for these guns. I have over 15K rounds on my black P-07 with no issues at all, a few light primer strikes but that was junk ammo. It is still my choice of CCW handgun compared to my P-01 and Sphinx SDP.

I can tell which one you are going to pick before i even watch the rest of the video. You upgraded the trigger in the one you will pick... kind of like glock guys..."man glocks are the best" when you spend another 500 for trigger job/stipple work and new sights. Probably a red dot too lol.
The CZ p10c is out of the box a better gun than anything in it's class (best trigger for a striker fired gun, factory nightsights,better ergos all at a better price point & they fit my g19 holster's)sorry glock had to sell my g19asCZ made the change's you should have made for your loyal customers who overpay for what you give us..

This isn't the right question. The right question us which do you Like better. A CZ P10 will serve just as well as a P07. And one shooter will Like one more than the other. Is chocolate ice cream Better than chocolate pie? or do I just prefer ice cream? Now when it comes to Caliber without my XX millimeter bullets are better than All other calibers All the time for Every application...
So here in South Africa if you walk into a gun shop they will sell you a Glock, a few good reasons why, but not always a good thing to do in my opinion. I was dead set on the Glock 19x after seeing it and holding it in my hands. After doing some research I came across a local South African Pew tuber who mentioned the CZ brand, he just happened to loose his job at the time and had started at a local gun shop to make ends meet. I went to him and we spoke about what I need out of a fire arm. He put every model of Glock down for me to feel if maybe I wanted the 45 or the 9mm. Narrowed it down to the 17, 19 and 19X. He then put the CZ P10c down and said try try that out, after one second of holding it in my hand I was like okay this is the one for me, it just sits so perfectly in your hand with the tang being nice and high you really get a good grip and feel on the firearm. Nothing wrong with Glock, and parts are the easiest by a long shot to get, but the CZ just fits perfectly in my hand. So I understand what you mean by its hard to explain to someone how it feels in hand until the pick it up. Thanks for the upload and your insight, are you still using it 3 years down the line?
Just came back to the CZ’s sold off my P-07’s and P-09 a year plus ago, because I was a “striker fired guy only.” Not a lot of regret, but enough that when I was able to get back into a P-07 and a P-09 for less than $800 total for both guns a couple of weeks ago I jumped at the opportunity. Now that CZ offers reversible mag releases on the P10 family of guns I’ll own those as well. Owned two early P10C’s and the ambi mag release was brutal on both, and the over two dozen I handled randomly. Glad to see that CZ corrected this because the reversibles work much easier. Stay groovy!😎✌️
I’ve got the latest P-07 and it’s incredible. The only firearms that I’ve shot which are better is the CZ Shadow SP-01 and the CZ Shadow 2, but those a competition firearms and not practical for EDC.
With that being said.... I dont know how to feel, about everyone NOW learning about CZ. Kinda wish most would just stick with thier glocks at times. I dont know if i like the "secret" getting out. Hmmmmmm

I am from South Africa and I own a PO7 the gun is great just with sport shooting that dubbele action really makes it challenging when drawing but overall love my PO7
I will choose a striker fired for conceal carry(no hammer to get snagged or accessible to be captured) and a hammer fired fullsize for SHTF and range work because I like retro style guns
I went with the P07 because I already had the P09. I didn't want to switch between hammer and striker. But I'm considering picking up a P10c as well in the future.
Both firearms are nice. I'm going to lean towards the P-07 for my pick because I have the big brother firearm the P-09. I've never shot the P-10C though.
I bought a P10 today. For me, I just hate the way the P07 feels in my hand. But that might be due to me carrying a CZ Shadow most of the time. The P10 grip feels closest to the Shadow’s. Overall the P10 is much better geared towards EDC carry, which will be its main function.
The p10 is a great gun especially for the price but for carry you might want to watch Chris from the Honest outlaw channel and see what he thinks about the P07 since he is one of the top channels on pistols and is one of if not the best out there with a pistol!
I choose the P-07 over the P-10. I also own the P-01 and P-09. So I’ve shot plenty of CZs. What’s the biggest downfall of the P-10? The trigger just isn’t as refined and smooth as the single action triggers. My P-10 breaks at 5.5-6 pounds consistently. Far heavier than the advertised 4.5 on CZs website. I do think the stippling on the P-10 is better.

No you can’t undercut the P07 on the tang to get any higher like the P10c, there’s only so much room on a DA/SA.

I did not like the p10c, the mag kept popping out in the middle of firing due to my hand placement, I could train it away but not worth it.
I wish there was a flat aftermarket trigger for the P07
I had the same decision to make and ended up going with a P-07 Tactical

Absolutely. Just don't buy the first year of production and expect zero reports of issues. But that's true of even overrated brands like Glock.

I can tell which one you are going to pick before i even watch the rest of the video. You upgraded the trigger in the one you will pick... kind of like glock guys..."man glocks are the best" when you spend another 500 for trigger job/stipple work and new sights. Probably a red dot too lol.
The CZ p10c is out of the box a better gun than anything in it's class (best trigger for a striker fired gun, factory nightsights,better ergos all at a better price point & they fit my g19 holster's)sorry glock had to sell my g19asCZ made the change's you should have made for your loyal

This isn't the right question. The right question us which do you Like better. A CZ P10 will serve just as well as a P07. And one shooter will Like one more than the other.

Honestly, no one owns just one CZ., so you may as well just get them both.
So here in South Africa if you walk into a gun shop they will sell you a Glock, a few good reasons why, but not always a good thing to do in my opinion. I was dead set on the Glock 19x after seeing it and holding it in my hands. After doing some research I came across a local South African Pew tuber who mentioned the CZ brand, he just happened to loose his job at the time and had started at a local gun shop to make ends meet. I went to him and we spoke about what I need out of a fire arm. He put every model of Glock down for me to feel if maybe I wanted the 45 or the 9mm. Narrowed it down to the 17, 19 and 19X. He then put the CZ P10c down and said try try that out, after one second of holding it in my hand I was like okay this is the one for me, it just sits so perfectly in your hand with the tang being nice and high you really get a good grip and feel on the firearm. Nothing wrong with Glock, and parts are the easiest by a long shot to get, but the CZ just fits perfectly in my hand. So I understand what you mean by its hard to explain to someone how it feels in hand until the pick it up. Thanks for the upload and your insight, are you still using it 3 years down the line?

Why did you change out the trigger on the cz p10c? Best factory trigger I have ever had.
Just came back to the CZ’s sold off my P-07’s and P-09 a year plus ago, because I was a “striker fired guy only.” Not a lot of regret, but enough that when I was able to get back into a P-07 and a P-09 for less than $800 total for both guns a couple of weeks ago I jumped at the opportunity.
Now that CZ offers reversible mag releases on the P10 family of guns I’ll own those as well. Owned two early P10C’s and the ambi mag release was brutal on both, and the over two dozen I handled randomly. Glad to see that CZ corrected this because the reversibles work much easier. Stay groovy!😎✌️

I’ve got the latest P-07 and it’s incredible. The only firearms that I’ve shot which are better is the CZ Shadow SP-01 and the CZ Shadow 2, but those a competition firearms and not practical for EDC.
Also recently picked up ah a po-7 od green, amazing handgun.
With that being said.... I dont know how to feel, about everyone NOW learning about CZ. Kinda wish most would just stick with thier glocks at times. I dont know if i like the "secret" getting out. Hmmmmmm

My G19 will, at this point be my go to, but I just got the P 07 tactical, and I must admit, it’s great
I am from South Africa and I own a PO7 the gun is great just with sport shooting that dubbele action really makes it challenging when drawing but overall love my PO7
I will choose a striker fired for conceal carry(no hammer to get snagged or accessible to be captured) and a hammer fired fullsize for SHTF and range work because I like retro style guns
the P07/P09 decocker system is a big plus. decocked/double action is safer for carry than the trigger safety on the P10c.
Can't go wrong with either both are excellent pistols. I'm slowly starting to like the da sa pistols more and more.
All CZ's Rule
I went with the P07 because I already had the P09. I didn't want to switch between hammer and striker. But I'm considering picking up a P10c as well in the future.
Both firearms are nice. I'm going to lean towards the P-07 for my pick because I have the big brother firearm the P-09. I've never shot the P-10C though.

I bought a P10 today. For me, I just hate the way the P07 feels in my hand. But that might be due to me carrying a CZ Shadow most of the time. The P10 grip feels closest to the Shadow’s. Overall the P10 is much better geared towards EDC carry, which will be its main function.
The p10 is a great gun especially for the price but for carry you might want to watch Chris from the Honest outlaw channel and see what he thinks about the P07 since he is one of the top channels on pistols and is one of if not the best out there with a pistol!
I choose the P-07 over the P-10. I also own the P-01 and P-09. So I’ve shot plenty of CZs. What’s the biggest downfall of the P-10? The trigger just isn’t as refined and smooth as the single action triggers. My P-10 breaks at 5.5-6 pounds consistently. Far heavier than the advertised 4.5 on CZs website. I do think the stippling on the P-10 is better.
