    I just swore out loud. I've got ME. After exercise my HRV will fall through the floor and my HR can get tachycardic until I recover. I just gargled twice and my HRV doubled. Tried it again and it did the same thing. Cue shock. I'm going to keep doing it for a bit to see if I can get it to level out at a new level. Happy new sub here! Thank you v much!!

      @@kirstenp3875 I haven't done it much in truth. I suspect that gargling also works because it improves carbon dioxide tolerance. I've been using altitude training more of late.

    Does gargling affect your HRV only while gargling or does it affect your overall HRV marker if you gargle daily? Also, what device are you using to measure your HRV? Thanks for the video.

    • @HRVHackers

      The theory is that the more vagal toning exercises you do the higher your vagal tone will be and higher long term HRV. I use the Lief device to measure HRV, check it out here: th-cam.com/video/x5ZIZZvZe8g/w-d-xo.html Cheers!

      I think the bee breath is good as well. I just find gargling easier on my vocal chords and provides similar benefits, so it's a matter of preference. Glad you are enjoying my videos 😀

    funny. and nice tip. note that once you master the process by gargling, there are other ways to achieve it... purring like tigers = flapping the deep throat while exhaling (please read precisely! :) , massage the throat with the bottom of the tongue, and generally have the tongue with some tone at the roof of the mouth cavity.
    and of course prayanama practices and box breathing

    Would love to see a comparison of gargling with the effects of breath holding only without gargling. I’m sure the act of gargling requires palatial muscle contractions necessitates glossopharyngeal and vagal activity. How about combining gargling with Resonant Frequency Breathing? Thanks for content super interesting !

    • @HRVHackers
      @HRVHackers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I appreciate the kind feedback! Gargling with resonant breathing provides the highest HRV for me, as long as I gargle on the exhale. I actually use a paced breather most of the day to keep my breathing at 5 bpm. How about you?

      @@HRVHackers I’m about 4 years into RFB and have tested so many marriages of RFB with vagal recruiting techniques like vocalisation, head rotation and facial expression following Porges findings. 2 questions. On your pulseeto review are the HF figures you quote are they available on pulseto .
    What do you use to measure your hrv . Btw the parasympathetic frequency is 109 mhz , 9.17 milliseconds. I have a friend who has mapped all healthy frequencies in The body . It took her 6 years .
