This is almost as neutrally-sublime a 3rd movement as K595. Barenboim's "dark" Beethovenian cadenza emphasises sombre thoughts that merge into a beautifully contrived re-entry of the orchestra......this guy just gets better and better.
One of the features of this finale that always floor me is the false ending. Mozart give you a very traditional obvious ending and then suddenly before the final beat he is almost saying not so fast I know you want more 😀
"Delightful" is the way I think of this concerto, there's no other way to describe it! I just wish we had the 1st and 2nd movements to enjoy of my musical hero Daniel Barenboim playing/conducting.
Thank you so much for posting this. K482, especially the 3rd movement is such a bold, almost romantic composition. For me, this is truly a sublime piece that highlighted Mozart's creative genius, and a showcase masterpiece at the peak of his lyricism and musical development. I wish that was all I had to say about it... But my video watching experience was interrupted by an advert around minute 5. It felt almost as if you're about to walk out into an open landscape in the Tuscan countryside on a sunny late afternoon, but instead of being caressed by the dry cozy breeze that rolled across the grapevines in the distance, picking up the faint dulce scent of ripening Sangiovese, you are met with a mid-40s marketing "engineer" dressed in a polo and slacks, who accosts you with a bulletin about the "upcoming criminally large discount on all party equipment rental in Big Balloon Party Paradise off of Route 18" -- and you have no choice but to listen to a 20 second pitch about how you cannot live without a smile on your face after renting their inflatable palace because it comes with a cordless rechargeable electric pump that will spiff up the "bouncing bliss" for more late afternoon fun. Did there have to be an advertisement there? Could it have been before or after the video, or even before the cadenza at minute 8, like most good youtube videos -- sneaking in a good eyeball thrash before the ultimate action sequence. Could none of the TH-cam deep learning algorithms tell that minute 5 is literally the worst time. If you play an advert during minute five, it would be like playing a Pepsi advert during the Spanish/Dutch 2010 world cup at minute 115'35": the only thing it serves to do is to trigger the frantic search for the skip button, only to realise that it was unskippable because, well, the advertiser paid for a premium slot on a high value conversion oppo (me). Alas, I guess I didn't have to pay money to hear this.
Barenboim au piano c'est un bonheur, Barenboim a la direction, c'est encore un bonheur. Alors Barenboim au piano et a la direction on ne peut qu'ajouter ou multiplier les bonheurs

Haydn mastered this trick btw in some of his symphonies
Absolutely brilliant!!
Music that makes you happy!

Mozart: that is how I wanted to play :)
Awesome
1:48 to 2:26 is just preposterously magnificent.
What about the rest of the piece!

Outstanding .... bravo ! Bravisssimo!!
Sono innamorato di tutta la musica di mozart, in particolare del concerto 22suonato dal grandissimo maestro batemboin

There is a copyright claim and I have no control over advertisements. Sorry. It does ruin the listening experience
