Even though everything they do is for pure shock value, you can't deny that every single band member is incredibly talented.
His use of quantization in post production and drum triggers makes it sound too robotic. This band would be so much better if it had a bit more humanity in it. That's the problem with most modern metal... the production is too squeaky clean and it lacks any edge, grit, or brutality. TRUST IN THE CRUST!

Infant Annihilator isn't a serious band. They just try to make the most disgustingly brutal metal possibly but they're a bunch of pretty chill dudes. They just like to fuck around in their music videos. I absolutely love these guys. Once you have a pretty deep understanding of metal tropes and cliches this band become hilarious and also insanely technically talented. If you keep enjoying metal and really dig into it then you will be ready to fully appreciate them after about two years of listening to a lot of metal. It's definitely the deep end of the swimming pool. I'm glad you tried it and gave it a fair shot though! Keep up the good work! It's nice to see people giving other genres of music a fair shake. If you want something more your speed right now then check out Hanger 18 by Megadeth. It's a fuckin masterpiece.

Also I’ve heard you say multiple times listening to metal music asking about the lyrics in this song and others. I come at this from a musicians standpoint the lyrics in bands that scream are pretty much irrelevant too my ear. The appeal to metal in general to me is in the lead guitar and drums.
The drummer for infant annihilator is one of the sickest players can think of ( in metal at least) some of the things he does are absolutely insane. you didn’t even mention the drums!
Although I can see coming from a hip hop mindset why you focus on lyrics more than I do. And I can understand not noticing the drums, seeing the video for the first time lol.

While it is true, that the lyrics are almost meaningless. I'm a drummer, and in order for me to listen to a song the lyrics have to be there. To me the the lyrics are more important than the music, i can put up with terrible instruments, as long as the vocalist is doing their thing, but i can't listen to good instruments, if the vocalist is bad.
I'd say you probably will never like the style.... but eventually you might appreciate the speed once your ear gets used to it n can mentally process n slow down the components of metal. There's so much metal I hated n agreed whole heartedly with but then you hear a new band and they open up a new aspect or sound that you might not have appreciated then you'll be like holy shit this blast beat is insane. Thanks for the open minded approach... I'm surprised you can find a way to like as much as you do because I love the genre but I feel like I'm waiting for a modern day band where I love the sound, message, instrumentals, vibe and vocals all at a perfect ten.... but then again music is partially opinion. God this is good weed.

Metal just isn't "easy listening". You need the right mood, the right setup and understand musical intelligence. Metal is something which grows on you (or not). But it's not something you can listen while doing something else. Not specifically talking about this band, but extreme Metal in general. The saying "Metal is best heard with headphones when you are alone in your room" is true. Not saying you can't enjoy a Metal concert or party. But the true Metal experience is when you become one with the music and atmosphere. And you need to engage fully to the music and nothing else to accomplish that.

Signs of the Swarm, Eye of Ascendancy, Chelsea Grin (partly), Fit For An Autopsy, Oceano, Shadow of Intent, Rings of Saturn, Whitechapel,etc are great bands in my opinion. I respect your statement, but there's is a good chance you haven't come across a decent Deathcore band.

I use Infant Annihilator songs as my alarms to wake me up in a morning because their songs are just a full on aural assault, The downside of that is when i get up so does everyone else in my house
i still use entombent of a machine from job for a cowboy as my alarm tone. and i have my phone connected to a speaker as well at full volume. and i put it on the ohter side of my room.

Infant annihilator is one of my favorite bands! The skill it takes to play is impressive and the vocals to me is another instrument in the way that the sounds produced are supposed to add texture but the lyrics are inconsequential
