Infant annihilator this is one of those rare cases when musicians not only sound good, but also combine strong lyrics, especially if they started as performers of satirical music. I remember how I started listening to them about 7 years ago and this is incredible progress for any team. Thanks for the video!
Interestingly, the bridge at the end of the bass is written clearly under the influence of Ryan Martinie, this is the bassist of the band Mudvayne and Soften the Glare

Another great band to watch if you dig fast "rapping" growls is ARCHSPIRE. In the extreme metal, they are in the Tech Death subgenre. My suggestion for a first listen: "Golden Mouth of Ruin"

-Ere the Crimson Dawn from their 2019 album is a lot more tamed lyrically but GENIUSLY written and HEAVY AF.
-Ov Sacrament and Sincest has some of the absolute hardest guitar parts I've ever tried to learn. There's currently only ONE GUY on TH-cam that has covered that song on guitar.
-Empusa Queen of the Damned is my top pick though. Song has everything. Dickie literally recorded some parts while screaming into an empty beer bottle or can 🤣 they genuinely don't give a fook

The band's songs aren't really meant to be taken seriously like over the top horror shit, but you can kind of gather from this song it's about men of the cloth defiling and murdering children. Which they did all the time hundreds of years ago.

Yes, most IA drums are programmed. But that's what a lot of bands do these days. For the simple reason that it saves time. But still all IA songs are playable. (if you're good enough on drums). Snare has a lot of fast blast beats and especially gravity blasts. You have to practice a lot, but it's doable. Look at Lordmarco, he can do it.
Double bass on IA Songs is super fast, yeah. But you can also practice and play like that. It's not that hard to play up to 320 BPM with singles. Over 320 you use Heel Toe. With this technique there is actually no limit. I've seen drummers hit 400-420 bpm with this technique. And IA's double bass isn't faster than this. But yes, it takes a lot of practice. But again: IA songs are not unplayable!

Dickie Allen is possibly the best (at least top 5) vocalist of the decade, dude is ridiculous. And Aaron Kitcher on the drums... nobody can compete except maybe Archspire. I'm not a fan of the lyrics of IA songs but the music is just too damn good not to listen to it.

And before the IA fans start screaming at me, because they always seem to get offended 😂 No it hasn't been 'proven' he can play this fast. There's something called playback, just like when pop artists lipsync over playback, it doesn't prove they actually did it live 😎
Only the last album was 100% programmed. The egg was either 30% programmed or 70%, can't remember. Plop was all Aaron

It's a hot take but I prefer their first singer's vocals. His name is Dan Watson and he founded Enterprise Earth and Mire Lore. He's no longer with Enterprise Earth but he made some killer music with them. Try Where Dreams Are Broken by Enterprise Earth or Ashen Memories by Mire Lore. I think Dan is far more versatile. This is no disrespect to Dickie Allen.
