I feel you. Locking event monsters with cool armor skill behind events just feels bad. Upgrading a few pieces to grade 6 needs extreme luck or you wait til the next event ot comes back

Short events that force people to play for extended periods and potentially use more potions, and heavily incentivize us to dip into gems for doubling rewards… Like come on, there are so many successful f2p games out there that don’t do stuff like this!
Good to see you're opting for " #NO-LOCK-ON " Covered also for those many who love lock-on. I see you placed decent options and guard is a must for SnS for staying on position with blocks. You get crazy good with block. You can block with your back faced to tail and you can use that little push to help stay in optimal face smacking position. I'm in same boat with you on lance. I am hoping the lance dash isn't tied into the special because if it isnt... with gyro on... it will godly like hammer for a sense of using it to Strafe attacks. Good vid man
I just saved all my parts. My current build of girros wep, rathalos helm, jagras chest, rath gloves, girros coil. Kulu legs or diablos legs. Absolutely wrecks anything and everything. You can paralyze, stun, knockout giving free hits and attack boost, rising tide and burst give you a huge combo of added damage to chip away at stunned monster hp
I still don't think this beats using level 5 thunder elemental build getting 500 more elemental weopon. I think that is the way to go. What weopon do you use?
Let's assume you are using a grade 10 tobi weapon with 1293 attack and 910 element. With thunder attack lvl 5 you get: 1293 raw + (910 element + 500 element) = 2703 With heroics lvl5 and resentment lvl2 (65% attack increase) you get: 1293+(1293*65%)+910 = 3043.45 With only heroics lvl5 (50% attack increase) you get 1293+(1293*50%)+910 = 2849.5 Heroics and resentment give higher damage but its harder to pull off. Element is easier to use and offers more consistent damage but more expensive zenny wise if you have to build an armor set for every element. Personally, i use sns.

Although new weapon types are nice, there is a cost for switching over, and the cost spike higher the more your current star progress go. Most people are gonna realized they are gated behind the huge cost of tuning up new weapon in order to be able to combat 8 star+ monsters. Dec 7 update perhaps Zinouga has the center of attention. It could be g10-5 2883 total offense stat tier just like Rathalos/Legiana. Barioth is speculated to be the first ever elemental affinity route weapon. Banbaro should be the same tier with Jyuratodus/Tobi Kadachi/Anjanath as ice element counterpart. The most exciting part is the Radobaan addition for me. Radobaan armor pieces could bring us to guard 4, or possibly guard 5. The comfort day of never ever need to do a single perfect evade is my dream. Don't get me wrong, perfect evade is not hard. But the problem is every single failed evade is fatal punishment. Its like you get double payout every time you win a poker showdown, but somehow you lose all your possession just because you lose once. Perfect evade is not for me.

It should be used to punch above your current ability, not for farming. I'm more than likely gonna be gate kept by 8 star diablos (he did it at 6 and 7 star) unless i find the ability to pull out 4 wyvern shards out of my rear end in quick succession. Heroics with SnS, whilst not perfect, should give me a fighting chance. On a side note: it only affrcts the raw damage of the equipped weapon right ie. Not the element. Therefore its not truely 50% increase unless you're using status or raw attack builds. Fingers crossed for a return of awaken and/or non-elemental boost. Just an idea for new sns build: artful dodger with slugger? Not sure how much easier the skill makes perfect evades but it could work similar to the guard 3 build, less the armour investment. Gives the opportunity to spend more on offensive skills. Hell, you could do the heroics build with kadachi legs for a bit of comfort whilst your in the red zone for health. Thanks for repping the SnS! I get the feeling you're more of a lance user at heart though? As much as it may pain me to have to start building weapons all over again, the lance has always had a special place in my heart.
Exactly! This build is meant to help you against monsters you struggle with. Perfect dodging has the tendency to move you around a lot so you wont be consistently be infront of the monsters head and you wont KO monsters as consistently as guard builds. Im a fan of all weapons with shields! Its just that the sns guard builds need a lot of guard skills haha
@@PauwerPlays Yes, I recall you mentioning your concerns about wiffing the perfect evade or rather it not being near the head. I've been experimenting with something I like to call the double roll technique. I've found side rolls to be easier to execute the perfect timing so rolling one way and back into the attack lets the animation work in the direction of the monster. Again, it's not always going to hit the head but more the weak spot you lock on to. Perhaps investing in DPS rather than slugger? I mean that initial counter is worth about the same if not more than the first 5 hits prior to the roundhouse swing so stopping mid combo to get the counter down makes some sense. Most of the community is f2p Heroics and resentment is the Niantic's way of saying. If you want huge bonk damage, you gotta hand some of your dough. Design wise black diablos gear really looks cool. But man, Imma stick with my Divine Blessing 5 I aint spending sht on pots 😂
@@PauwerPlayspersonally as f2p, I use longsword wich relied on focus and special boost skill, it works for me since longsword iai dealt lot of damage without you recieving damage, and personally it more easier to perform than perfect evade since sometimes it have some lag or when you swipe your screen it doesn't got that swipe input unless the screen finally doesn't feel your finger touching your screen after you swipe to a direction wich can make your timing off unless you have artful dodger skill, but with iai it just release your finger after holding it down, and with that I don't have to use potion and only used it if it really really need it, that's why before they patch up daily potion supply limit, I have about 23 of it stored since I almost rarely using it with my LS, I only used it if I got trouble with lag or I so stubborn on wanting to hunt that pink rathian I see even thought it is the first time I fight one of them and failed to follow it's movement that result of me lose all my hp
"Heroic" is a dumb effect here in this game, it only can be triggered when yout HP is bellow 30%, but then you cant start a hunt when your HP is below 30%, thats just counter-productive
It's good if you're not hunting for hours on end OR if you hunted a bunch of monsters and let's say 25 of them and one of them or a few of them got you down to say about 55 hp (so long as your defense is appropriate) then using a build with heroics is nice. Heroics is also ULTRA NICHE for OTHER MH GAMES. In this game its more appropriate as there's dps checkpoints and if you're good at not taking hits then you could intentionally take a hit to trigger for urgent. I can't ever seeing others using heroics in other MH games but in this one. It makes more sense to use. So when I go out for 2 hours... and hunt whole time... I start with bow or hammer builds that get gritty with dps. Then when I drop to that 55hp threshold I switch to a build with heroics. It's worth a try and it's a BIG ADRENALINE RUSH... gotta bring good eyeframe tech to really use heroics. Heroics typically is for Hunters whom get burnt on using 100% affinity and have all the moves and prelude sounds memorized. I don't recommend heroics for a fresh hunter as the game would be IMPOSSIBLE for them to enjoy. Most ppl whom hate on it ain't ate on MH enough to make it fun. Speed running is sooo 😴 also it punishes you to speed through this monster hunter. Good way to get the most of that P.B and what comes with P.B that's relevant to all weapons ? Heroics. You wouldn't want diablos legs for p.b if you have to rock slugger? Heroics is nice on utility builds that lack crit or if weapon has high raw with natural negative crit. Also shields help manipulate triggering and is O.P with Offensive guard combod with heroics... it's nasty
Unless you are a rich boi who can upgrade all the armors to lvl10, heroics only playable if you pair it with guts. You will die almost from everything against rk7+ monsters. Heroics is usable to tackle a difficult Urgent Quest imo. Other than that, stick to regular build. And resentment is pretty stupid skill compared to heroics. This skill is so dumb, a % dmg increase for 15 secs after getting hit? Welp, guess what? I get carted after that hit. So stupid.

Farm mats and wait till december 7 and see if there is a bd lance. Thats the weapon i want + guard 5 and offensive guard

Burst is not a 4 second buff. If you keep attacking it won't run out unless you stop attacking for 4 seconds.
