Hey @HiddenXperia, I believe the game you are talking about is D2 for the Dreamcast. It came out in 1999 and its about a woman who survives a plane crash in the Canadian tundra, only to discover the people in the nearby area have been turned into plant monsters by a meteorite. It's a strange cross between first person and third person gameplay (third person exploring, 1st person when in combat and searching areas). Probably one of my top 5 faves, really interesting (almost as interesting as the guy who made it, Kenji Eno).
Hi @11:07 is a weapon I designed animated and made sounds for. Jordan is a good buddy of mine and I let him use it. For anyone interested I have many more original weapons coming. Stay tuned.

I appreciate the shout out for halo mods on xbox. I’ve been wanting that for such a long time and videos like this showcasing them make me want them even more
I'm on PC but really wish they would open up mods/custom content to Xbox users as well. It's kind of weird they don't with Microsoft's more relaxed approach on modding (like allowing custom assets in Bethesda game mods while Sony dose not). My only guess is that having the steam workshop to use made it a lot easier for them to support custom content on PC. On console they would have to create their own UI for browsing the mods, system for "subscribing" to mods like steamworkshop (which means all your mods auto update when the maker updates it) etc. etc. Either way it's a shame and something they should do for their fans on Xbox. At the very least make the "digsite" content (the team that puts up old/cut stuff like the Macworld 1999 map they turned into a full mission, the Halo 2 E3 demo etc) available on Xbox.
I know it's not a custom campaign map (and most likely very rough since it's my first Forge map) but back when the Flood items were added to Infinite, I made a Forge map called 'Containment Breach'... with a reference to a certain Halo TH-camr in the description.
Hey man. Thanks for the shout-out for all us console players. Honestly, I'm a console person and I'll just never be a PC gamer, but you are definitely right that it sucks to miss out on all the custom campaigns people make. Having Halo mods on console would be great and I appreciate the support!
Nothing wrong with playing games on the platform you prefer. I'm on PC and completely agree it's pretty crappy of 343 not to make mods available on Xbox. I'm guessing it was much easier for them on PC partly thanks to Steams "workshop" feature. Where the hosting, browsing, etc of mods is all taken care of. And all mods are installed in one click (and they auto update). I'm guessing to add the ability to play mods on Xbox MCC they would have to create their own equal to Steam Workshop. Kind of like how Bethesda has their mod browser thing on console (and PC). Either way I really hope it happens some day. I don't see why with Microsoft's relaxed approach on mods (like allowing custom assets in mods for Bethesda games, something Sony dose not allow).
My first ever dive into modding was as a kid when I got Halo: CE for pc in like 2004 or 5. Shortly after, I saw videos on newgrounds and myspace (lol oldies) people in Halo groups sharing custom campagins. The first time I modded a game was with Halo: Custom Edition, importing custom campaigns, multiplayer role-playing maps, and all sorts of stuff. Good times, good times.
It was pretty cool when someone recreated the first Marathon game in Unreal Tournament 2004 I believe? That was pretty sweet. So seeing a Halo CE take of Marathon is even sweeter.
I just recently played Lumoria Rebalanced and I loved it. Aside from some of the voice acting and some stilted animations, it really feels like a CE DLC to me.
Which one? When I played it, it felt so familiar to one of the Custom Edition maps I played. I think it was that one with some James bond sniper rifles and a remote airstrike gun if I'm remembering correctly.
Agreed. So happy 343 made good on their promise to release all the modding tools for all of the games in the MCC. And added steam workshop support so mods take one click to install (and they auto update). There is so much cool content in the work shop for MCC. My fav stuff being the stuff from the digsite team (the ones that released the Macworld 1999 map and turned it into a full level with objectives etc), and most recently the Halo 2 E3 demo. And of course stuff like Halo 2 uncut, the mod that overhauls the lighting in Halo 2 to as best as possible give the game it's original intended look back when the "pstencil" lighting was going to be used. They aren't stencil shadows (seems to be no way to actually restore those, guessing cut to early in development), they are still shadow maps but it turns FAR more of the lights in the game into dynamic lights. Def worth taking a look at. Kind of lame 343 didn't make mods available to Xbox users.
5:55 fun fact: in the halo book “the flood” which follows the events of the first game, there’s a stealth elite who boards the autumn with his main objective being to find/kill/capture Captain Keyes. He manages to get into the same scape pod with Keyes thinking he can hide so long as he keeps his active camo on. Keyes calmly talks with a marine and asks to inspect his sidearm. Keyes then aims directly at the stealth elite, shoots him, killing the elite and disabling the camo. Everyone else in the pod is shocked to see the elite suddenly appear dead on the floor, while Keyes just calmly hands the marine his pistol back. “Thanks, works just fine”

I remember playing a game with the exact description with a snow tundra and crashed plan and these sort of yeti looking things that would attack you. I remember it being a game that came in something like a cereal box or that would be sent to people to try out or something. The game may have been called Atlantis The Lost Empire or Atlantis The Lost Tales and I believe it was one of the levels from one of those.
I've loved the pirate theme since playing AC Black Flag and Halo since I can remember. Ngl, I might start writing a futuristic sci-fi story inspired by this.
I’m now privileged to say that I bought a copy of Turok evolutions the other month for £1.50 and will be playing through all of it soon, and I must say it’s brilliant lol, I love the weapons sandbox as well as the ICONIC theme playing throughout
When I got to the Scarab Fight in Pimps At Sea, I ditched the ship and took the tank waiting on the island. I'm used to fighting Scarabs with the Scorpion so yeah... I missed out on circling the ship with cannons and taking it down that way because I wasn't good with using them compared to the tank. And of course, tank beats everything.
Mods definitely are a fun way to change it up. Been loving a few ce mods. Some covenant campaing mods, one called the havoc mod which feels like a true war and the brutality evolved mod where a lot more things are destructable.

Wow, I don't know how I never even remotely gave a thought to a campaign from the point of view of the covenant. That would be badass!! Imagine all of the Bungie Halo games except from the POV of characters in those wars, such as the Zealots in Reach, Zuka in CE, etc. That would be badass. Edit: Imagine in Reach, you are one of the zealots and you watch noble team from a distance in the first few missions. You get a look at noble 6 (you) which is both weird and badass

The gravity gun in turok though. The flying runs through. Dat backflip though!
You spoilt the twist of Mercury Rising...
Pitched a tent when turok was mentioned… have never had the neurons in my head spam flashbacks so hard
Ubisoft skull and bones devs out done by one man in a cave with a box of scraps😂😂😂
15:43 This looks promising... It's so beautiful...
Great suggestions, thanks!
Ayyy thank you man!!
343 can't even imagine it let alone actually pull this off
I've loved the pirate theme since playing AC Black Flag and Halo since I can remember.
Ngl, I might start writing a futuristic sci-fi story inspired by this.
MY MOD??? IN A HIDDENXPERIA VIDEO?????
I’m now privileged to say that I bought a copy of Turok evolutions the other month for £1.50 and will be playing through all of it soon, and I must say it’s brilliant lol, I love the weapons sandbox as well as the ICONIC theme playing throughout
@32:16 Hey, I know that guy! This took me by surprise, thanks Hidden!!!
Someone really has to use Halo mod tools to just recreate the entire Marathon Trilogy now. Seriously that Electric Sheep bit was wild.
Quick scoping elites with an intervention is very mountain dew. Lol
So... we not going to talk about that honour gaurd wrath 😢😮
I miss the demos of the early 2000s. Some of my fondest memories were just testing games before full release.
Seeing the Sharquoi in a halo game is surreal
Pimps at Sea was a long time inside joke at Bungie for its next game 😂
The snow game you might be talking (if its 2d) is brink of alienation 2. A 5 min game
was super cool to meet you at hcs!!! hope we can get you into some battlefront pack reach game nights :) we got alot of awesome stuff coming
Mods definitely are a fun way to change it up. Been loving a few ce mods. Some covenant campaing mods, one called the havoc mod which feels like a true war and the brutality evolved mod where a lot more things are destructable.
Its simple i see HiddenXperia upload. I click 😎
Love the use of Turok Evolution music.
hey Hidden, just wanted to say, love your content. you're one of the few youtubers who mostly specializes in Halo content still around since Halo Cannon left the platform. I was wondering if you could make a video about the battle of Earth in a similar vein to his Timeline videos about the Battle for Reach and Battle of Installation 04. Its rarely covered in detail about what actually happens on earth during the battle besides the Games.
Seeing master chief QS promethians was not on my list of things to do today, but I’m glad it happened nonetheless
I loved mercury rising I’m glad it was mentioned
the best thing about Infernoplus' Halo mods is how they'll introduce incredible stuff that i desperately want in the main games, and then follow it up with the dumbest shit you've ever seen in your life
Got the notification as soon as I was done watching cursed halo vid for the 10th time 😂
babe wake up a new hiddenxperia video just dropped
Turok Evolution? Looks like we have more in common than growing up playing Halo lol
I find it kind of funny how you describe Mercury Rising as having the best level design you've ever seen in a mod in general, despite the fact that it's basically just an old Custom Edition multiplayer map with enemies on it. Still a fun mod tho!
Surprised you didn't mention the juiced up Brute AI in the desert map. Those guys have no f*cking mercy, especially that hammer guy at the end.
so fun fact. I'm building a flame thrower ODST based on the Hellbringers/rvb (sharkface)
I want an actual stealth based Halo ODST game now.
Edit: I love time crisis. I remember playing the arcade game all the time at my local mall as a kid.
Prey (2017) is underrated, it's a must play for any gamer.
I must play it but why saying this here ?
@@DESTY-N7 he mentions it in the video.
HELL YEAH ITS ON MY LUNCH BREAK TOO I CAN WATCH THIS
When 343 decided not to have halo campaign dlc, or specific halo campaigns which would please us fans.
Modders: fine, we’ll do it ourselves
The Voice Actor of Johnson is Vocal Butcher
Halo 2 is 20 years old and i didnt know the spectre was amphibious 🤯
Yooo in time for my lunch break, videos like thwse are awesome!
You ever consider playing through each halo campaign and explainig the lore throughout?
After reading Epitaph this desert theme would be so good, especially considering all the fuss there was in a certain desert
We still need HiddenXperia RuneScape lore 🤣🤣🤣 we neeeeeed it
Man, I wish there was content like this for console. It’d be great if mcc did something like the Skyrim remake and allowed mods
i thought i was subscribed after watching your videos for over 7 years but i just subscribed! 😅😅
I LOVE all your videos and make sure i don't go beyond a day before watching your latest video!
HOPEFULLY, Halo Studios does allow for mods to be available on xbox...i am jelly that pc gets it but i hope we can make enough noise for them to do it for xbox.
Turok was awesome! My favorite was the nintendo 64 one called Rage wars.
Im friends with JordanIsGreat, he'll be happy to see you review his mods.
Hello. Thank you! I am happy
Amazing Video!!! Keep up the good work!
I'd like to see a halo game where we play as the flood, take over the ring then go to space and conquer planets
Oh Someday Maybe They Will Add This To MCC Custom Games Browser For Us Lonely Gamers :(
