KYOT is THE best!
Having played the major CE mods, my ideal mod is one that combined most of Revolved changes but without the nerf to grenade damage (I hate that so much!) and the excessive red lighting on the library / 343, with Ruby Rebalanced Wildlife, with Brutality evolved gibs. Would be the perfect mod
Obviously the best one is the one that turns every enemy in Halo 2 into jackal snipers.
That was very close to making the list for all 10
I started playing the Havoc mod after watching the video. I'm only on a30 and I can already say it is INSANE. It's like the game shipped with those massive battles you see going on in the Halo Combat Evolved TV Spots

Ruby's rebalanced stuff seems REALLY good too, just watch the latest big video he made for CE and you can tell that the stuff he added was really really REALLY well thought through

I would love to see ODST get the trooper firefight treatment. Almost like a what-if on what that game would play like if you actually were a more vulnerable ODST rather than what feels like Spartan lite.

Kinda glad SPV3 was left out. Ugly as sin, bloated weapon sandbox, and a bad rebalancing.
Ruby of Blue's rebalance series, on the other hand...
Ruby's Rebalance just rebalances stats and imports wildlife.
It's fun. But Revolved and H2 with Sprinkles does much more.
An aternative is SOIS Singleplayer adventure. Much prefer it to spv3
HAVOC'S introduction was so fitting 😅
Combat Revolved is an absolute symphony between gameplay, story, and lore. Playing that mod made me feel like I was playing CE for the first time ever again. It's replaced the way I play CE's campaign from now on.
I'd like to see a version with Halo Reach/ Anniversary tags just for it to feel like the ideal remaster.

Played almost all these mods so far except for Pre-release Macworld, Firefight CE & Trooper Firefight so I will def check these out ASAP. But I'm really the most excited for Halo Reborn & Halo 2 Rebalanced to drop (hopefully by the end of this year)

can anyone tell me how to find those cortana locations in ultimate firefight? i really wanna test that out! but everyone is unanimously hiding it and there is no videos showing how to do it.... i just wanna see it because im too stupid to figure shit like this out
how about Project Lumoria, both the original and the one with spv3 are pretty different from one another but both really nice

Well its clear that a lot of these were removed due to hardware limitations of consoles at the time and bungie having limited time and budget to perfect them, and also damnnn that three hit melee combo on chief is awsome

One of my gripes with the Havoc mod is how overwhelming the first engagements can be. I dove in, having played CE since I was a kid and was a bit disappointed with the enemy & weapon placement. It felt more like a shooting gallery than anything else
No way...a mod literally title HAVOC has an overwhelming shooting gallery in tight spaces??! Say it ain't so!
@CatcherInThePie-hi6bc Feel like there's a better way of going about enemy placement without sacrificing the original intent of the game. CE already did amazingly well with the limitations of the engine and I feel that, with more tasteful placement of enemies, you can still achieve "Havoc" without making it feel like COD. Mods like Mythic do a pretty good job at this, with a few exceptions of course. Thanks for the smart-ass remark.

The style they went for clearly learned nothing from CEA in terms of how imposing and alien the environment is. They made it warm & earth like. Not ideal. You just make yourself look like an ass and make the discourse toxic.

Introduced one of my younger brothers to Halo CE recently and we couldn't get vanilla to work, so I resorted to Halo CR. Could honestly him it worked out for the best because that mod takes nothing from the original experience and fine tunes it so much.

These mods look so fresh and have so much potential, it's such a shame 343 isn't motivated to make anything good and Microsoft just doesn't care about quality.
Don't sell them short. 343 didn't have to release the cut content for modders to use, but they did anyway.

Why was Halo spv3.3 left out it's one of the best mods.
Almost every Halo fan has heard of SPV3 already. I appreciate that he focused on newer mods, specifically the ones available for MCC.
I personally like SPV3 but these mods seem much more focused to the core of the game rather than SPV3 that takes a lot of liberties.
He's made videos of SPV3 in detail though

Finally, a checklist in video form for us. So glad Halo is being modded so much. Lately I swear I've just been playing Trooper Firefight or ODST rebalances more than anything else.
I think there is another mod you should check out sometime, "Halo Reach Infantry". A kinda like the Trooper Firefight mod except a literal custom campaign with cutscenes and everything.
I've seen that one before, I'll definitely check it out. Thank you!
