Do you reckon we're ever going to get a Halo game where vehicle ammo is limited, and when the anti-gravity pods are shot off from the Banshee wingtips, the entire aircraft falls out of the sky? Just picturing the RvB guys giving us a PSA about the "upgrades" when UNSC vehicles were no longer indestructible. The final campaign you showed us today reminded me of the first N.O.V.A 2 mission for some reason--not that I've ever played it.
I just had such a good thought of how they could do this supposed halo 1 remake they have coming up. They halo remake releases in like two years. The gfx are decent and two missions in were rolling our eyes. Then a mission loads and your playing as an elite. Add an elites’ perspective campaign like halo 2 basically interjecting a full second campaign and got extra points they could use a named elite from the book and loosely adapt their story.
Hey! Creator of Phylacter here, I feel honored that my map was barely able to make it to this video by an honorable mention. I wanted to adapt Rogue One’s Battle of Scariff in a way that would fit into Halo’s universe and encourage player teamwork. I had to tone down so much of my intial vision for the aesthetics of the map because the sheer amount of palm trees was taking the simulation budget to its absolute limit. It’s actually the first real Forge map I ever published and I doubt I will ever get to top this map in terms of scale and aesthetics.

The level Phylacter definitely looks like it took inspiration from Scarif in Rogue One especially with the huge Forerunner tower in the background, that is definitely based off the Citadel Tower on Scarif.
Quick note about Zero Order Hold, the wind physics are mostly present even by default; the offline mode + bot setting just determines whether it applies to the player as well because the netcode haaaates that. If you're playing it online it'll still apply to enemies, objects, and weapons the same as usual (so you'll still get stuff like the debris flying down the ship) and it'll adjust a couple spots to be completable without it blowing you around.
The beach map definitely gave me that star wars rogue one (I think) vibes especially with the cool tower ahead. Also judging from the list i would rank (by looks) the jungle delta halo style level as my favourite as jungle and halo go so well together. Of course the other maps look great too.
Man, forge AI has got to be the best thing that ahs happened to halo in years, people can say whatever they want about 343, but when they do something right they can absolutely deliver and it shows with forge

@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem There *are* people like that and it's annoying. My favorite halo games to this day are still the OG trilogy and I was there since the halo 3 days but the way people act like Bungie was doing gods work and 343 can only do wrong is dumb.
Back when the Flood items released and I made a Blightland map, planned to make a few custom campaign maps (a Banished Dreadnought and Alien Isolation with Jega Rdomnai) but never got too far into either... maybe because Infinite was my first serious attempt at Forge and I naturally felt overwhelmed.
I’ll be releasing the first attempt at recreating a 1-1 or as close to 1-1. “Halo Evolutions: Headhunters”. We just need to sort out the final explosion and we’re set. The Silent Shadow AI is scarily effective XD
The fans are the only thing carrying halo right now. From Forge campaigns to mods and then of course some pretty insanely well done and edited fan movies / cutscenes. I really hope we get some good news regarding the franchise soon. Halo used to be such a huge powerhouse in the gaming scene. I’m thankful that we at least have some amazingly talented fans who put time and effort to create content for us to still enjoy

I honestly never thought you'd make a video of my map (or maps) with the Infiltration-Fall one being featured, I've been watching your videos for years so it's pretty cool to see, but yeah thank you for making the video on it! also agreed on the music improving the feel of the maps, it really allowed me to have certain areas that fell flat to have more of the feel I wanted to go for.
I was working on a pillar of autumn remake, but i was way too lazy to add all the textures and encounters. I'm so glad someone else made it, so i don't have to finish it
This looks awesome. The jungle and desert fan-made levels just makes it sting that Halo Infinite didn't have various biodomes (among MANY other things. . .) to explore and fight in.
Really makes you wish they didn't try for an open world considering they probably ran out of time for what they wanted for their initial scope, I ache at tech debt and bad logistics..

I have played these CE missions remade in Halo infinite's forge. They are quite well done. It seems like fans do such a good job recreating classic missions, also with mods, that 343 would be foolish to not hire some of these people or OG bungie employees for level design for future halo games...
So, I’m on a Discord server with MadmanEpic, the creator of Zero Order Hold. One thing he commonly said about the map when he was designing it was that he wanted it to have almost like a Sonic Adventure feel? Which you can see in the trailer for the map on YT which uses music from it and also the preview screenshots having Spartans that look like Sonic, Tails and Knuckles (I was actually Sonic in those screenshots :D)
i do think that infinite's best feature is forge, hopefully they still add to it, like campaign voice lines from master chief, cortana/ the weapon, the banished leaders/ harbinger, and even multiplayer voice-lines from the three Spartans and iratus, plus maybe some past halo music, even if its the more iconic tracks, and some other qol improvements (e.g. allow forger to change the colours/textures of the alien flora etc), as well as a damaged/ destroyed vehicles and/or vehicle parts palette, and maybe some more trees that are from earth like ash or maple etc. maybe even some way of making a custom playlist if possible. i do think so much could be still added
I honestly wish I was more tech-savvy when it comes to forge, I'm able to make these huge maps that I think would make great custom missions, but I get to a point where I get stuck and that's to do with the scripting and AI side of things. But even back on Halo Reach, I made these huge maps for people to explore, but at the time, I didn't have access to the Internet, so I was making them for no one really and I kind of feel the same with Infinite, but luckily I can share my maps now for people to hopefully do their own thing. I have this one map where you spawn on the Infinity or at least a similar ship to it, and you have two ways of getting to the ground. One is where you spawn, a control room area with a docking area where you can simply jump down to the ground and presumably get straight into the fight. But if you want to get prepared first, I also have a Hangar area where players would be able to choose their weaponry and "board" a Pelican, only to awaken on the ground, pelican crashed and surrounded by dead/wounded Spartans (I added flashing lights to signify dead or wounded). Going from there, the pelican team can traverse a cave filled with a mysterious material that the banished are mining, eventually coming across an elephant scout with vehicles for the team to drive to the main battle where a UNSC forward outpost, takes on a Banished outpost. Upon getting past that, the players would soon encounter forerunner structures, which would eventually lead to a boss fight if I knew how to script AI. I also have another where you use drop pods (teleport) and traverse from a foresty biome into a tundra one with a bit of an UNSC base. But I've played some of the maps that were mentioned in large groups, and it's pretty fun.

11:17 Currently working on a 343 Guilty Spark level, gonna make the entire facility and the surface. Noticed that someone already made the first surface section but I'm starting from scratch; it'll be a little larger than it is in CE but everything on Zeta Halo does seem a bit bigger anyways. Seeing these custom campaigns give me hope in my success.
I'm just now hearing about the new forge and custom campaigns, I haven't played Infinite in a long while, did y'all remake the entirety of Halo CE/Halo 2? If not, do you plan on doing so? (Sorry, I'm not sure if there were two different groups or if this was the same group)
Hopefully one day we can have the entire Outskirts and Metropolis missions remade as one giant forge map, but have it be a flood and/or abandoned city themed remake. Sadly I'm not sure if anyone could be able to take the time to do it because I'm not sure what infinite's max forge limitations are.

The second mission of the Fall campaign feels at least to me like the creator’s version of Truth and Rec. I think they should add suppressors to the game for that role playing experience.

I just started playing halo again after YEARS, halo was my first FPS multiplayer experience growing up and buddy does it feel GREAT to get into a big team battle match and dominate with mouse and keyboard, I hope the halo community stays committed and strong 💪🏼

This is inspiring me to revisit old maps that I started and realized wouldn't have made good PVP arenas and start thinking about how to integrate scripted encounters that really let the maps shine as PVE missions.
I remember back when Halo 4 released, around the time I graduated elementary school, and back then my knowledge about Halo's custom games and forge were pretty limited. Seeing these custom campaigns reminded me of when I thought Halo 4 had custom AI's but after spending hours looking in forge I realized it wasn't the case. I also thought the Phaeton was a Halo 4 vehicle for some reason? I haven't played any of the Halo games past Halo 4 cause I don't have xbox 1 and I wasn't used to pc controls, but I might get into Infinite for these custom campaigns now that they're actually a thing now
I think 343 finally realized what Valve and (early) Mojang discovered keeps a game alive and well long after its initial release: Mods. Letting the fans inject things into beloved games breathes new life into it and keeps people coming back.
The Halo community really is gifted when they give us incredible custom campaigns like these. I played Zero Hold Order and I loved it so much. It's really a peak custom campaign. As Forge improved over the games, the custom campaigns really improved along with them.
Explain why Halo's Prophets seem to continue surviving as themselves for a short while after being infected by flood forms? For example; when Regret was assimilated into the flood Gravemind, he seemed conscious and coherent. Mercy survived until Master Chief removed the infection form, which killed Mercy. And Truth was shown able to barely stand and some bits of his skin are splitting open, but he was able to mentally resist long enough to attempt to activate the halo array before our good friend, The Arbiter killed him.
If we ever, and I mean ever, get access to dev tools (or even just mod support) Halo Infinite could quite reasonably live forever. People are already creating some of the coolest halo things ever in Infinite's Forge, I can believe we'd get whole new *games* if we got dev tools and mod support.
Well, if 343 aren't bothered making more narrative content, then I guess I can always rely on the community to do so. Really nice that you're shining more of a light on Infinite's Forge. You should make more of these kinds of videos. There's even stuff like this for other Halo games (such as Branching Sickness, which obviously you've already covered), but there's so many great projects out there that I never hear anyone on TH-cam talking about. Well, anyone with any significant Halo clout, that is.
You know what would be really cool to see? Someone should make a good, short story Machinima and create a playable campaign that takes you through the story of the characters. I don't know how capable or compatible Infinite is when it comes to creating Machinima, but that would be an awesome experience.
It would be cool if 343 made a way to allow us import and script in voice overs (strictly on PC) to enhance the campaign experience and potential tools to create Cutscenes
I have a question. How do you actually run these custom campaigns? I thought I'd run the game in campaign mode, but I'm stumped as to what to do. For clarification, I'm using the Xbox PC app to play the game. So any help would be great.
Actually if you jump on the ship you wouldn't go with the wind flying off of it, the laws of inertia dictates that when you're standing on the ship you are going the same speed as the ship, therefore jumping would have barely any effect, so for more realism you wouldn't really fall off like that... now if the winds were high enough certainly that and worse things could happen but you're in some heavy duty spartan armor so ehh. You'd have to be in the air for a bit for your velocity to not match that of the ships do to lack of a source for acceleration, the wind is the only force against you along with gravity so then that's when you'd fall off.
Luc (or Luke?)... I NEED you to play Armored Core 6, and please make a video on it. The game is utterly incredible in every way. Just don't go in expecting Mech Souls or Mechen Ring. Trust me, as someone whose first Fromsoft game was Elden Ring, and first Armored Core is 6, the game is perfectly accessible to newcomers.
Thank god people are giving the community made maps more recognition, some of these are really well made. Halo infinite is a Dumpster fire but the community is just making stuff out of passion and I love it n.n
I'm glad you're saying it. Even since forage was introduced there has been enough content to carry the whole game. 343 just doesn't even use the smallest fraction of it.
And I'm not even talking about silly custom games and firefight and campaign I'm talking about just multiplayer maps. Not just multiplayer maps meant for the competitive community. Not just multiplayer maps meant for the casual community in squad battle in big team which does get competitive anyways. But for the entire Halo sandbox if you're not taking advantage of the community creations you are actively trying to drive the game into the ground.

Currently working on a 343 Guilty Spark level, gonna make the entire facility and the surface.
Noticed that someone already made the first surface section but I'm starting from scratch; it'll be a little larger than it is in CE but everything on Zeta Halo does seem a bit bigger anyways.
Seeing these custom campaigns give me hope in my success.

I'm just now hearing about the new forge and custom campaigns, I haven't played Infinite in a long while, did y'all remake the entirety of Halo CE/Halo 2? If not, do you plan on doing so? (Sorry, I'm not sure if there were two different groups or if this was the same group)
Hopefully one day we can have the entire Outskirts and Metropolis missions remade as one giant forge map, but have it be a flood and/or abandoned city themed remake. Sadly I'm not sure if anyone could be able to take the time to do it because I'm not sure what infinite's max forge limitations are.

The second mission of the Fall campaign feels at least to me like the creator’s version of Truth and Rec. I think they should add suppressors to the game for that role playing experience.

I just started playing halo again after YEARS, halo was my first FPS multiplayer experience growing up and buddy does it feel GREAT to get into a big team battle match and dominate with mouse and keyboard, I hope the halo community stays committed and strong 💪🏼

This is inspiring me to revisit old maps that I started and realized wouldn't have made good PVP arenas and start thinking about how to integrate scripted encounters that really let the maps shine as PVE missions.
Infinite is going the route of StarCraft II where the main single player experience is quite over but the custom game community is bs levels of genius
I remember back when Halo 4 released, around the time I graduated elementary school, and back then my knowledge about Halo's custom games and forge were pretty limited. Seeing these custom campaigns reminded me of when I thought Halo 4 had custom AI's but after spending hours looking in forge I realized it wasn't the case. I also thought the Phaeton was a Halo 4 vehicle for some reason? I haven't played any of the Halo games past Halo 4 cause I don't have xbox 1 and I wasn't used to pc controls, but I might get into Infinite for these custom campaigns now that they're actually a thing now

I think 343 finally realized what Valve and (early) Mojang discovered keeps a game alive and well long after its initial release: Mods. Letting the fans inject things into beloved games breathes new life into it and keeps people coming back.
343 really needs to add a community forge campaign playlist in the near future because there’s so many awesome forge creations out there.

The Halo community really is gifted when they give us incredible custom campaigns like these. I played Zero Hold Order and I loved it so much. It's really a peak custom campaign. As Forge improved over the games, the custom campaigns really improved along with them.

You should try operation torpedo in custom games, it was nearly impossible to solo it with the bandit evo

you need to play those halo 3 custom missions by skorly, they're genuinely fantastic
Explain why Halo's Prophets seem to continue surviving as themselves for a short while after being infected by flood forms? For example; when Regret was assimilated into the flood Gravemind, he seemed conscious and coherent. Mercy survived until Master Chief removed the infection form, which killed Mercy. And Truth was shown able to barely stand and some bits of his skin are splitting open, but he was able to mentally resist long enough to attempt to activate the halo array before our good friend, The Arbiter killed him.
If we ever, and I mean ever, get access to dev tools (or even just mod support) Halo Infinite could quite reasonably live forever. People are already creating some of the coolest halo things ever in Infinite's Forge, I can believe we'd get whole new *games* if we got dev tools and mod support.
Well, if 343 aren't bothered making more narrative content, then I guess I can always rely on the community to do so.

There's even stuff like this for other Halo games (such as Branching Sickness, which obviously you've already covered), but there's so many great projects out there that I never hear anyone on TH-cam talking about. Well, anyone with any significant Halo clout, that is.

I don't know how capable or compatible Infinite is when it comes to creating Machinima, but that would be an awesome experience.

I have a question. How do you actually run these custom campaigns? I thought I'd run the game in campaign mode, but I'm stumped as to what to do. For clarification, I'm using the Xbox PC app to play the game. So any help would be great.
Actually if you jump on the ship you wouldn't go with the wind flying off of it, the laws of inertia dictates that when you're standing on the ship you are going the same speed as the ship, therefore jumping would have barely any effect, so for more realism you wouldn't really fall off like that... now if the winds were high enough certainly that and worse things could happen but you're in some heavy duty spartan armor so ehh.
You'd have to be in the air for a bit for your velocity to not match that of the ships do to lack of a source for acceleration, the wind is the only force against you along with gravity so then that's when you'd fall off.
Im extremly greatful for people who make custom maps because I know it must take forever and I could never make one even a sliver as good as others

Luc (or Luke?)... I NEED you to play Armored Core 6, and please make a video on it. The game is utterly incredible in every way. Just don't go in expecting Mech Souls or Mechen Ring. Trust me, as someone whose first Fromsoft game was Elden Ring, and first Armored Core is 6, the game is perfectly accessible to newcomers.
Thank god people are giving the community made maps more recognition, some of these are really well made. Halo infinite is a Dumpster fire but the community is just making stuff out of passion and I love it n.n

Even since forage was introduced there has been enough content to carry the whole game.
343 just doesn't even use the smallest fraction of it.
And I'm not even talking about silly custom games and firefight and campaign I'm talking about just multiplayer maps.
Not just multiplayer maps meant for the competitive community.
Not just multiplayer maps meant for the casual community in squad battle in big team which does get competitive anyways.
But for the entire Halo sandbox if you're not taking advantage of the community creations you are actively trying to drive the game into the ground.
This really inspired me to keep going on my custom campaign!
