I remember when this aired the first time, and how excited I was that Bo and Luke would be on Family Feud. It was so disappointing to have this cast of practically unknown supporting actors. And they lost the game, too! :(
@@chandlerwhite8302Rick Hurst was deputy cletus. He was on for a few years. Peggy rea was Lulu hogg. Jeff Altman was hughie hogg in several episodes, boss hogg's crooked nephew. The rest were only on the show a couple times.
How the heck did they do this without Sherman Hemsley? Mike Evans was good, but geez... and where was Catherine Bach, Tom Wopat, John Schneider and Denver Pyle? Good Lord...

That's one of the weird things about watching popular old TV shows or movies. Somehow, it seems as though the people should not change if we don't see them. I feel the same way whenever I go back to my home town.
How they gonna have the Jeffersons without George and Dukes of Hazzard without Roscoe, Bo, Luke, or Daisy Duke, Jesse or Boss Hog? We got the DList actors
Richard "Octopus" Dawson. He just seemed to invade everyone's intimate space. If you went on his show, then be prepared to be subject to uncomfortable contact. I guess he thought if you came on his show, then he could come on you afterwards.
"Things drivers do with their hands when they should be on the wheel." Sometimes questions like this show how much times have changed. "Texting" wasn't a thing yet, and even "talking on the phone" was an extreme rarity that did not make the list. "Smoking", on the other hand, was very popular answer.
Some commenters are saying that the regular Dukes were on strike at the time of this episode. Are they referring to the 1980 Actors Strike, or John Schneider and Tom Wopat’s 1982 contract dispute? This episode of Family Feud would have been from the 1980-81 season as the one episode of The Dukes of Hazzard that Christopher Hensel appeared in aired on February 13, 1981. Also Isabel Sanford mentioned that The Jeffersons had been on the air for seven seasons. The 1980-81 season was the seventh season of The Jeffersons. Therefore this episode definitely wouldn’t have aired when John Schneider and Tom Wopat had temporarily left The Dukes of Hazzard. I don’t think the 1980 Actors Strike would have prevented the major stars of The Dukes of Hazzard from appearing in this episode of Family Feud. All five celebrity contestants for The Jeffersons were significant cast members. Both The Jeffersons and The Dukes of Hazzard had late starts to the 1980-81 television season (November 1980) due to the actors strike.
I just found out this episode was taped on January 10, 1981; and it aired on April 12, 1981. Therefore it was taped after the 1980 Actors Strike had ended.
Where was the original cast of the Dukes of Hazzard John Schneider Tom Wopat Ben Jones Denver Pile Kathrine Bach & why would they have Franklin Colvert instead of Sherman Hemsley representing the Jeffersons.
There have been quite a few comments about The Dukes of Hazzard having such a mediocre cast for this City vs Country tournament. Well Dallas also had a less than optimal cast. Ken Kercheval, Steve Kanaly and Susan Howard were significant regulars that competed for Dallas’ team. However the cast also included Meg Gallagher and Jeff Cooper, neither of whom were long term regulars.

Give me the original Richard Dawson family fuel host ANY DAY !!!!! My great grandmother called him the kissing bandit cause he was always kissing the female contestants. Kissing them on the mouth. Ain't nothing but pure foolywang!
Woooooow!!!!! Before they died, I would've literally paid cash money while calling in sick to work and even playing hooky from school just to see George Jefferson and Boss Hogg face off one on one with Richard Dawson in between them asking the survey question. THAT.....WOULD......HAVE......BEEN......AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Franklin COLE-VER? All my life, I've been pronouncing his name Franklin CUFF-VER. I'm embarrassed that it took all these years for me to hear the proper way of saying it
Not everyone wanted Richard to kiss them on the lips and Richard kissed plenty of not- so "attractive" and not-so "shapely" women on the lips . Also, there was an Indian family on and Richard kissed neither the wife nor daughter. Even Richard had a limit, though in this case, not because he didn't want to, but he knew Indian culture didn't play that.
We will never see shows like this on TV again , Good classic clean comedy !
Check out Marla Gibbs schoolin' Richard Dawson!!
"Don't put yo' hands on me!" Lol!!
J Miller fuck yeah
Okay his nasty ass
@@jcbentleyalley154 Bettuh LEAVE Aunt Marla 'lone!!! Shoot... lol...
That was “Florence’s” phrases throughout the show
That was more flirting then anything else.
It's hard to believe Isabel Sanford was 21 years older than Sherman Helmsley.
omg i always thought she was older then him
And Marla (Florence) was older then him too
And Esther Rolle was 19 years older than John Amos.
He was balding but she still looked older than him to me.
I miss you, so much Isabel and Roxie. Both such majestic, beautiful, sweet ladies!
right
Thank you!!
+Kris Costello welcome
Wow...the good folks at The Dukes sent all the big stars for this event!
Isabel Sanford was as graceful as her character Louise Jefferson! Beautiful classy lady!
If I'm not mistaking, all of the Jeffersons guests have all passed away except for Marla Gibbs. 😌
You’re mistaken. MOST of them but not all of them. But in this video yes
Michael Evans is still living
@@markpatient2766 He passed away back in 2006 I believe from cancer.
@@markpatient2766It's Damon Evans who's still alive.
Michael Evans died. Marla Gibbs is alive, so is the actor that played Jenny.
The real Lionel vs the fake Dukes

Exactly! Where's Bo, Luke, Daisy, Roscoe? Who are these people?
Jeb Stewart Duke was in one episode. He was more discarded than Coy and Vance hahahaha
At this point in time, it was probably planned for him to be a recurring character.
I love watching The Jeffersons.
Funny that phones were not a distraction back then while driving.
Marla Gibbs/Florence: Don’t put your hands on me😭😭😭
The Dukes of Hazzard sent their most unknown cast members to the show. How sad 😞
I watched that show religiously when I was a kid, and didn’t recognize any of these people.

Never seen those duke people.
Sherman and Catherine we’re the main fruits and weren’t on here…dammit I so hate that
This is game 2 involving the Dukes of Hazzard cast, but game 1 had Boss Hogg, Roscoe, Luke, uncle Jesse and Daisy.
I was thinking the same thing

Roxie Albertha Roker married to Sy Kravitz. She died of breast cancer December 2, 1995. Great actress.

Yep! I think I found that out when I saw his Behind The Music.
So weird watching this as Dawson and most of the Jeffersons cast here except Marla Gibbs are deceased & only Peggy is deceased on The Dukes side
Yes! Everyone knew that!🤷🏿♂️😉
Isabel was gorgeous!
Marla Gibbs as a cast member on 227 was on Ray Combs version when he guest starred on 227 and played family feud in one episode…
Damn, where is everybody-Bo, Luke, Jesse, Daisy, Boss, Rosco, and George Jefferson?

I agree. Not a single star.

These Dukes of Hazzard actors outside of Cletus were not regulars.
RadioLaPrincess lulu was
And Cletus introduced everyone except himself, doh.
Peggy Rae was a guest star as J.D. Hogg's wife Lulu.
Lulu was Hogs gf
The one on the end became a regular. I think he was boss Hoggs nephew. He used to dress in white like boss
Kudos to whoever recorded this, it looks as though it was recently done instead of over 30 years ago.
+Gregory Young This is actually from a DVD I bought years ago that is a compilation of some of the celebrity episodes.
+Kendra B. ahh that explains it lol
No George Jefferson? No Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane? A bit disappointing.
Roscoe was in a special with Luke, Boss Hogg, Daisy and Uncle Jesse!
LittleMissLeared I guess they wanted more money
Alexandre, I saw that one. It was good.
Another comment said the reason the regular cast members weren't there was Dukes of Hazzard was on strike.
LittleMissLeared or Boss Hogg
The real Lionel.
richard dawson was such a creepy freak show of a man!
Florence puts Dawson in his place. Well done, he goes to far.
Ummm...she was joking! That was the catch phrase of that character on The Jeffersons.
William!🤦🏿♂️🙄
I thought she was staying in character. Marla is underrated!
where is George
This seems to be both a real tv show on Family Fued and on the Jeffersons love it I'm with the Jeffersons
I guess the Family Feud did not pay enough to get The A list Duke of Hazard Cast and George Jefferson to make the show!

They should’ve gotten Ben Jones (Cooter) to come on there.
it's the supporting cast of The Jeffersons vs The Extras of Hazard County
their also was a T.V. special one time called City VS.Country . a sort spin off of battle of the network stars.
