Good Times was a spin off of Maude, Maude was a spinoff of All in the Family, Jeffersons was a spinoff of All in the Family. I watched all these as a little kid in Canada in the late 70s/early 80s and never revised they were all connected. Jeffersons theme song is easily one of the best ever.cheers

Good Times was a spin off of Maude, Maude was a spinoff of All in the Family, Jeffersons was a spinoff of All in the Family. I watched all these as a little kid in Canada in the late 70s/early 80s and never revised they were all connected. Jeffersons theme song is easily one of the best ever.cheers

I know it wasn't Isabel Sanford singing the theme song, but I used to like to make believe it was. I bet Weesey would have had a similar singing voice--nice and deep. A truly iconic theme song which still remains timeless even today. Bless your soul, Ms Dubois. 🥰🥰

Her speech pattern and way of describing things reminds me so much of how Donna Summer also spoke, another phenomenal writer and performer. I'm bowled over at how Janet came up with this song. What a phenomenal talent.
R.I.P. Ja'Net to me the funniest thing you said on Good Times was "...I don't want no old man breathing onion dip all up in my nose..." not only was it funny, but to this day I am very careful doing close up face to face chats with folks. You brought a lot of class to the TV screen.
