After 11K kilometer with the Rally in Central Europe, I so far never had an issue with the bike. It is the touring machine with the highest price in Europe but you get what you pay for. Top notch parts where ever you look. In very thight corners on alpine passes, the bike has excellent low speed manuverability. High speed on German Autobahn also is no problem at all. Same applies for gravel roads. I am not doing the rough stuff with it.

Hey, congrats on owning one! How does it compare to a Pikes Peak?

@@avinash.h2 Thanks! No, the Rally with its 19" front wheel wants to accomplish good on and off road capabilities while the Pikes Peak with its 17" front wheel is a sports bike for the road only. The suspension is different too. Skyhook on the Rally focuses on rider comfort while the Öhlins on the Pikes Peak optimises traction and performance.

If I got a new V4, this is the version I would get. Having that ability to do some light offroading is an awesome feature. I have a Ducati Multistrada Enduro 1200 right now, so this would be like the next step up from that. Maybe one day!

I had a chance to ride it. Man this bike is perfect. I own a 1260 Enduro, wich is the predecesor of V4 Rally, and I can say it is on all another level! The only bad thing is the high price. If I spec it how I would like, it will go near 32-33k.

Had one since April after touring all over Europe on 2011 GSA/2x K16’s & an RT with the massive TFT. They’ve done more enough to steal the GS crown and I wont be going back to BMW any time soon. Different beast all together. Highly recommend, the price will defo be an issue for some but what if you can afford it, go for it. Other than the odd gravel track mine wont be seeing any serious off road either!! Height and weight may be an issue for some but as I’m 6’5 it’s damn near perfect for me!

I’m 5’9 32 inseam. This bike seems huge to me. I’ve driven it and pikes. The PP seemed drastically smaller even though it’s not. I almost purchased PP until GS released. Now I’m waiting to see both. I have a bike no hurry.

As an owner of a 2024 Multistrada V4 Rally I would warn anyone against thinking of the as a "Best bike". The chassis is great (really great). The engine is nice for agressive driving - not so for more relasex driving (as in adventure touring). After 1600km the engine sounds as if someone has poured gravel into it. It was ok from the beginning but has suffered from increasing noise from valves and/or timing chains. The Desmo Ducatis have always been noisy but the V4 has no desmo valves. You need earplugs when you drive this one. At 3500 rpm, the noise is so bad that you find yourself prepared to push the clutch in case of a seizure… Below 3000 rpm, the bike is practically un-driveable. Don’t bother to drive in slow traffic - even if you can bear the enormous amount of heat emitted from the engine. The quickshifter, that was supposed to be really smooth on these bikes, is really a hit and miss. It’s great when it works, but it rarely does. When the engine is warming up, it works ok. When warm…not so much. Less than 50% hit rare. But when it does work, it’s really smooth - at least the up-shifts. When it doesn’t, and you never know beforehand, the gears will bang in, leaving you wondering how much abuse the gearbox can take.
The dealerships (at least in Sweden) leaves a lot to wish for. Any problem I had, the response was that "a Ducati should be like that". The service person in my case, seemed to believe that the V4s have desmo valves and blamed the noise on that. That doesn’t give you much confidense. I got zero help with any problem with the bike. Clearly the warranty isn’t worth anything. But they charge crazy amounts for mainrenance (4000 Euro for 1000 km oil change).
Eventually I contacted Ducati support, as I got nowhere with the dealership. However, they showed little interest as well. This is the most expensive bike I have bought, but unfortunately also the worst bike experience.
Don’t make the misrake I made, believing that this is a GSA-competitive. This is nowhere near the BMW experience. It has a better chassis than the Bmw, and is really fun on twisty roads. It’s also better offroad. But that’s it. The Bmw’s engine is light years ahead in the adventure bike context. Bmw’s customer service isn’t always the best, but compared to Ducati’s, it’s golden.

Agreed, at this price, I’d use this for touring only. I currently own a 2016 Multi 1200S, and this is on my list for replacement in 2024/2025. Looking at the new 2024 GS too.

Hi, great videos by the way. I picked the pikes peak because of the way it looks, and what the bike is all about.
I use to ride 2020 V4s panigale but I must admit the Pikes Peak is awesome. It does everything I want to do in comfort and more bonus. She’s still a good looking bike as well, which is important. Keep up the good work 🇬🇧😉

Didn't see a dealer tag on it, lol. Currently leaning towards the Rally, but I could see myself on the Pikes Peak as well. Hopefully, they'll have one or both at my local upcoming demo.

Everyone says this is the GOAT bike of today. I need to try one. The issue for me is that here in the UK this is $10k more than a GS. And whilst i am sure that the quality is way better than ducatis of old (had a mk1 Diavel which was beautifully made), there are little “cheap” things such as the plastic brake and clutch reservoirs.

Hey Chase! I know that awhile back (5 years I think), you did a GSXR600 review. Could you redo that with the updated version?? That would be sick! Great video too

All the new Multistradas with the skyhook will go back to auto suspension mode after you put it in “min” at a stop. I own the V4s touring and just love the look of the Rally and the extra capacity tank - but not enough for me to switch out until a new version comes out.

Would rather have the Tiger 1200 Explorer. Biggest thing besides price would be the shaft drive. Prefer it over a chain for touring.

So, million dollar question, would you go Rally or Pikes Peak?
I’ve been torn but finally ordered the Pikes Peak as I am a vein mo-fo and the looks kill me 😮‍💨🤤❤️

The only V4 Ducatis I would consider are the Streetfighter or Diavel. I think the V2 Panigale is a better overall package and direct descendant to prior Ducati super bikes and the Multistrada bikes are better left to BMW and Japanese brands (the Pan America isn’t bad, either).

Such a BS Marketing by Ducati and BMW with regards to off roading with $30K, 600 pound motorcycles (Multi and GS). These are Touring bikes for those who wants to look tough. Get a proper Touring bike like , Road Glide, Honda Goldwing, BMW RT or K bikes or get a Honda CRF 250 for $5K for off roading.
