Great review Brett. We’ve moved away from VW after a decade or so of VW cars for the family. Brilliant when new. Costly with a few kms on the clock.

Great review as per usual, mate - good to get an up close and personal view at the R

    Great review, very thorough!
Maybe one day like your old channel some old bangers could get a test. Good reality check for the audience who realise an SUV 0-100 in 5secs is rapid vs an XR8 😎

Yeah it is so sad what a piece of plastic garbage the modern day golf has become too. Years ago they actually were good cars.

I have a 22kw at home, seems like yesterday I had a 265 Charger at home.

Nice looking SUV, however I still much prefer the current X3-X5 M40i the B58 pretty to beat, and much better buy for the money.

There is a trend for everything to be touch screen..
    I don't like it..
I prefer physical buttons especially for climate control..
I find pressing buttons and switches more satisfying

I think I’d rather buy the new Lexus GX 550, and save $10k

Why did you switch from pdrivetv to driving enthusiast

Lack of support from current owners, and more freedom/flexibility with my own channel.

Apart from it having a V6 sound I don't see how it is better than a 50 k BYD sealion 6. German automakers are just cashing in their legacy.

Let's see which of the 2 is going in 5 years 😅
These Chinese brands are yet to prove their reputation, and they're yet to prove they can build a car than can handle or stop safely

That is like saying why buy a BMW 530i when you can get a V6 Camry? They are both sedans with adequate power. There is a lot more to a car than that though. Go sit in one, drive one, use one and you'll feel and see the difference.
