- How to replace the oil pressure sensor on a 392 HEMI 6.4.L without removing the alternator. This engine is commonly found in Scat Pack Challengers and Chargers. It's also found in SRT versions of the Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

great video man, just did mine today, mine was oriented in such a way that the red safety clip was the biggest pain in the ass, ended up leveraging a flathead against the other side of it and pushed it up. Also, for anyone with this engine code; my oil pressure was pinned at 96 psi, and stayed there after i unplugged it as well for checking, new sensor fixed it. thanks again

It won’t fit cuz the alternator is in the way it should be removed for this process. I did the same exact thing. It worked perfectly. My wires were messed up on mine. Great video
Good side effect of bad oil pressure sender is MDS permanently disabled. That said good intel on electrical plug. Not knowing how connector releases/locks is stumbling block itself. Thanks for sharing.
Good video man! Replaced my water pump and thermostat about three weeks ago spilt a lot of coolant and now i have this engine code/issue! Hopefully this does the job👍
Oh ok. Revise my comment. That’s also an issue. Couple different aftermarket fits they make it for use with a regular socket

Looks the same as the 5.7. I don't know why all these people think the alt needs to come out.
is it located in the same spot on the 6.1 hemi?
Just jack the car up, it's much easier.
