There has never been a Bond like Sean Connery. He had a natural talent to portray the dry and cool humor of 007
DITTO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was only one Bond, Sean Connery. The rest are or were wannabes!
During the filming of Diamonds are Forever, there is a scene where James Bond walks thru a cemetery. One day while watching the film with my son, he recognized that is where my parents are buried today. James Bond walks right in front of their resting place, today many years later. I thought I'll be damn my folks are in a James Bond movie.😊
That observation...and comment is WAY COOL! Thanks for taking the time to write it!
He was 90 and people question what he died from, how about old age. May we all reach that pinnacle.
I haven't seen/heard a single person questioning how he died....get a grip!
Oh no words to say: handsome beyond any men with unforgettable voice that gave shivers along spine. Sir Sean Connery was loved and still loved, The King. RIP.
You can say all you like about Sean Connery he was the best bond EVER ❤
Hands down💯%
Brooke Bond is better 😅😅
@@adrianmichell2751 Have a cuppa tea then!
It is so very cheap to dig in the life of someone who is dead and cannot defend himself.
Thing of it is -- Sean Connery needed No Defending! He stood for who he was and what he was. A MAN! God Bless Him!! ♥️🙏♥️
defend against what?
22 minutes of the video is just talking about how cool he was.
there are no 'dark secrets' revealed.
He had dementia and he kept it quite.
that's it.

He was the sexiest bond EVER no one could match him ❤
Oh for heaven's sake -- no one is perfect! Sean Connery gave us some very entertaining, magical movies due to his vast talent! He lived to age 91, don't wonder what his cause of death was into something it wasn't, he died of old age! Leave him alone to rest in peace now.
I second that...
You couldn't be more correct
i agree
Why tell secrets? We all have them
Hey when your the real deal, no one should say anything negative about you !!! He was Bond ,the Icon of the century God Bless and Rest In Peace Sir !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a projectionist at the local theatre, I saw every bond movie that came to town. Loved them all. He was the best.
Me too, Glasgow
I don't see any dark secrets. He was a talented and kind man.
He was a wife beater, that is why Diane Cilento divorced him.
That's what I missed, too!
click bait
@@MYGAS21 I've seen a few videos by this uploader.. they're all the same.
Apart from domestic violence. Or did we sweep that bit under the carpet.
When he stopped playing 007 I never went to another Bond film. He was a great actor and everyone has a private side.
People who go looking for this kind of stuff must be a 100% perfect.
You missed quite a few, great "Bond" movies, when you stopped going, after Connery left!
@@rongendron8705 no he didn't
@@gerryboy3699yes he did 😮
The Bond films lost me when they had the shuttle in one move.
the measure of this man is revealed in his acceptance speech at the Lifetime Achievement Award i think in 2006. Most profound and truly indicative of the stature of this man.
There will never be another Bond like Sean Connery and Roger Moore
Not Moore......he's too light in the loafers to be a tough guy.
Daniel Craig
@@kateboulton8789 sorry. no.
@philt5782 sorry, but Sean Connery and Daniel Craig are the best Bonds in my book.
So, where are the dark secrets?????
he had dementia, that's the dark secret.
this is a nice little mini bio but it needs a less click bait title for sure.
The Hunt for Red October is about a mass defection of a Russian Nuclear Submarine and its crew, with the early murdered of its
political officer a pre-requisite for its successful operation…
The best Bond that ever there was. I loved him in every other movie he did. I enjoyed every movie he was in. He was pure Class. Gone,...... but not forgotten.
Great Actor and The Best Bond 007, RIP. 🙏🏻
Not just the best Bond. He was the ONLY Bond!
Wonderful actor and the best Bond
He was the best at playing James Bond another great actor from Scotland it makes me proud being a Scot ❤
Goldfinger and Thunderball were a part of my rearly life with my parents taking us to the theater. Goldfinger is my all-time favorite as is the theme song, God Rest your soul, Sean.
U. Will never beat connaty as bond brilliant
Loved Gert Frobe
Saw Dr. No at the age of 14 with my cousin in 1963. A revelation! Sean has remained my only real James Bond!
I was 15, and are now 77, so you must be 76😀
He was the best of the Bonds. The first time I saw him was ''Gold Finger'' Great movie.
Bond James Bond. The best ever!
He been through and struggled so much. That’s shows he’s a very good man. He’s in peace now.🙏
I remember seeing him in person way back in 1979 on the street of London. I was so starstruck! RIP Mr. Connery!
The best, the most convincing, the most masculine, the most believable, and indeed THE ONLY JAMES BOND. Long live Duško Popov. Connery was incredibly good at what he perfected.

His character portrays in virtually every film he was in were indelible and at the very least overwhelmingly enjoyable at 86 years old. I have enjoyed Sean Connery and his character portrays most of my life. Thank you Sean Connery rip
The only Bond I will watch although I saw 2 of Pierce Bronson and he was good but not anywhere near as good as Sean.
"The darkest secrets of Sean Connery came out after his death that have left fans shocked." What the hell kind of sentence is THAT?
The Media Run Amuck Again‼️
A clickbaity one!
Clickbait. Absolutely atrocious.
I am shocked to find out that I should be shocked. 😆
The most important input to my life as an early teen in the 60s.
How many Bonds came and went we only talk about Sir Sean Connery the original Bond mostly, thanks for a great rewind.
He was the all time best Bond. Love you. I'm a huge fan of Sean Connery.
An ICON, an international hero; a teacher by example and an inspiration forever. For using the success of fame and fortune, turning them into a platform to better mankind. I feel proud that I lived during his time and was able to see him use his life as an example of how to live well in this world.
a mans man
The only bond i ever liked..RIP Sir Sean..🙏🙏🙏🙏
One of the biggest thrills of my life was to meet Sean Connery. It was in a coffee shop in Los Angeles and he was having lunch with his wife. He was so gracious and friendly when I introduced myself. He was my childhood hero and I always enjoyed his performances. I always love seeing him pop up in unexpected places like an episode of the Jack Benny show and an early role in Hell Drivers. That is a must see!
Excellent actor, who always remembered his roots & always loved Scotland, he did not need to change his accent 😄
hahaha that`s why he lived in the Caribbean!
No question about he was the most beloved James Bond. But in "The Name of the Rose" he showed his entire extraodinary talent. I still love him!
Dark Secrets? I thought you were going to announce something we didn't know (generally the definition of a secret). RIP Sir Sean.
Eggggg zackly! I should've known better than to click on these fantastic stories that either give you a five hour video on how you can save your life in eight seconds a day and even though watching this was very entertaining and interesting, as many others I'm still waiting for the big enlightenment that as with so many other videos just plain never comes. However you watched the whole video which was probably the posters intent. Soooo...?
But.... still hands-down the very best Bond ever and I don't think that they'll ever find another to portray the greatness that is 007
A Great actor, a Great Man, a Great Human Bring, what we expect from a Man! A Man fighting tô live with his família! RIP Sir Sean Connery!
His role in " The hunt for Red October" Great!
Some people seem to make a hobby of raking through the lives of past icons and getting clicks by promising to reveal the dark "truth" about their personal lives. And no-one left to defend them. Cheap clicks. There was an old saying about never speaking ill of the dead for good reason. I have not watched this video. I wouldn't demean myself.
That is a shame because you're missing a very comprehensive documentary of a great man, actor, scot & philanthropist! This story covers many details of his life & career that I, being a fan since the 60's, did not know.
It's only towards the end that some 'truths' are acknowledged, but in no way condemn or shame Sean!
If you are truly a fan, I strongly suggest you watch this thoroughly informative & non-derogitory video! 💓👏
Also, spoken by an easy-to-listen-to narrator! 👌
after 30 years I am still waiting for a similar actor. Please don't let me wait too long.
I had the pleasure to meet him in 1997 at the Hotel Caledonian in Edinburgh. He was having breakfast a couple of tablets behind me, I recognised his voice when he talked to the waiter.
When I finished my breakfast, I said hello. He was reading what appeared to be a film script. He asked what I was doing in Edinburgh and I told him "I'm working on a new computer system for the Scottish Offices". A down to earth gentleman.
It is reprehensible when people attack others after their death, as the dead cannot defend themselves
Don't care about his secrets if he had any.
He was a good artist, husband, father and graceful man who regarded his humble beginning as abaje of honor.
REST IN PEACE!
Sean was the man ❤️ The older he got the more sexier he got.
The guy was a handsome "dude", with or without hair!
Sean Connery is simply the best to be Bond. He gave the character his cool standards
My absolutely favourite 007, a great actor
He was one of the greatest actor ❤
RIP you were raised in the same building as a neighbour to my grandmother, who years later recalled Sean a cheeky we lad but had sparkly eyes, easy to forgive. Fountain bridge area in Edinburgh renewed and revived is still a fair side of town, he would not reject today. I loved all his work, especially the Bond movies, so glad he had time for golf & comfortable retirement, isnt that what its all about? RIP Scots are proud of you and your success from an ordinary wee boy.
Gifted personality, very well intuned to what he is famous for, charismatic in Figure, features and voice.
May he got himself United with the Truth and, his soul rest in peace.
No matter what some say, Sean will be always Bond.
The one and only. He was
made for that role like no
one else.
My favorite James Bond. He was the best.
I agree, those with questionable behaviours and those benefiting from being in the limelight should be held accountable. So, let's begin with those who contribute least yet benefit most; our Politicians, Bureaucrats, Activists, and Lobbyists. Once all those have been dealt with, then I'll start concerning myself over rumours and hearsay about those no longer around to defend themselves.
No one is perfect......why bring the skeletons from the closet.....we are all sinners.....R.I.P.
Sean Connery.....a good lasting impression of a good actor.....
When I think of a Scotsman and I am one myself who could better stand alone to represent present day Scotland than Sean Connery. A man's man
Yes, the man who'd do anything for Scotland except actually live there.
As a young American, I loved the first Bond films. And was not the only one, I soon discovered. I would meet with fellow fans and we tried to dress like Bond. I even tried vodka martinis but found myself walking into walls. I found out that Sean Connery was the tallest James Bond and that those actors who followed him were shorter and shorter.
I miss his acting in other films as he seemed to “make” each one.
Never heard of James Bond being referred to as zero zero seven before!
Queen Elizabeth II was the British monarch as King Charles III is also the present British monarch they are not Kings or Queens of England only.
The only actor who fit the description of the Bond in Flemming's novels was Sean Connery, which leads me to think Connery must have read Flemming's novels to get that role down so precise, even down to the slightest gesture like lighting a cigarette. Every Bond novel I read after watching Dr. No, I couldn't get a picture of anyone except Connery as Bond.
It amazes me every time you get a loved actor who's successful in. There's always things brought up after they've died and left us to make him look bad and I don't like it. And I never have liked. I thought Sean Connery was a very good actor in James Bond. And now the only James Bond films that I do watch because the rest of them that are done in recent years with Daniel Craig. Yeah, you can forget the sunny violence. There's no story to it. There's no action to it and another film that you forgot to mention about. Sean Connery was the film where he played a medicine man. And he found the Cure for cand that was A.
Very loved film Connery.I thought he is a very good person in his action. And I wish his family all the best. And I hope he rests is in peace.Thank you
did you watch it? the only thing they reveal is that he struggled with dementia.
this is bs click bait video that's 22min longer than it should be.
I was already an eyebrow comber - did NOT need those dreamy looks - thanks to my own late husband, but Sean Connery will always have a timeless place in our hearts and memory.. My favorite element in my fanship? He evolved - early Bond was just crude and rude with ladies, he smoked and overdid everything.....but each film shared "the new improved BondJamesBond". and we LOVED it.
One of my favourite actor. Love his charisma and presence!
He complemented the sixties well. As Bond he was the essence of masculinity, something deliberately erased from the modern world. You could believe his malice, and therefore his ability to kill for the secret service, and the women of the time appreciated his overt masculinity and his ability to fight for them, not to forget the implication of being a satisfactory lover. Goldfinger showed that when he turned Pussy Galore back to the home team and saved the world.
He arrived at the right time, reassuring Britain that despite American power, Bond could be counted on for Britain. He fitted in with the emergence of the sexual revolution, a media exercise to countenance the idea of a sex life without prejudice from (British) society, although I believe the idea of reassuring recreational sex for both sexes began after women’s suffrage and became more common during the blitz and idea of unforeseen death everyone felt during the second World War.
When you hear of thirty or forty year old virgins now, with young men repressed by society, and the emergence of “incel” culture, it makes me weep.
I agree with this completely. The next Bond should be more like Connery's Bond and save the world from woke, bullshit.
I mean, we have Archer, which is bloody hilarious; agreed, it's an animated and completely exaggerated parody of Bond, but why can't the next Bond be a version of that but watered down by 50%? 🤔
Although I love Roger Moore's version just because they were the movies my dad took us to see when I was younger, in the late 70's and 80's, Timothy Dalton's version was the next best to Connery's and actually the closest to Flemming's literary version.
I agree with the others on here who say, stop over analysing Connery's life. He was a human, a man who had faults as we all do. But he clearly did a LOT to help humanity. He was a true hero. RIP Sean, we love you.
Rest in peace Sean. You were a great (OO7) .YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN AMEN🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹
Missed THE LONGEST DAY early o!
Mr.Connery YOU are the real Bond.James Bond 007 ❤
I loved him with Audery Hepburn as an older Robin Hood. Reason because i loved Audrey Hepburn. She was one of my favourite actress and i always thought he was a sexy man even when he went bald he was still sexy.To Sean Rest In Peace GodBless You. Your not forgotten 🙏🕊🕊🕊🕊🦋🦋🦋🦋🌹🌹🌹🌹AMEN🌹
The Legend is no more, very sad; i never knew he passed away !!! I miss him as James Bond. He managed to live upto 90 against the flaws, that was the blessing !!! RIP Sir Sean Connery.
Met him at a deli counter in Vancouver just the 2 of us waiting for the little Italian nona for help, he was dressed like Indiana Jones's father, same hat! You would never know, I had no clue till he ordered, super gracious, big smile, we spoke briefly about his voice giving him up, "You can run but you can't hide" he said, I mentioned the Raisuli performance not being hampered at all by the voice," ( you have to be really good to pull off playing a Arabic leader with that voice)"not many mention that one!" As he gets his small rolled up package from the lovely older Italian nona and salutes me with it! And takes off!
i think most wish he was still alive and acting, Robin Williams too
Of all the great actors that have passed, you link Sean Connery with Robin Williams? Well, they are the same, but different. I guess you just miss them. Me too.
Don't get me wrong. I really liked Robin Williams as a very versatile actor. But in the end he was a walking basket case. Taking his life was extremely selfish.
A fine and balanced review of his life and personality. Thank you.
4:12 Ibsen is not George Orwell, editor!
I agree with Sean about women, when they lose control.
The best part about this youtube was Sir Sean ! My all time favorite bond. As all the others have said I echo RIP gone but never forgotten.
In 1976, when I was 17, I visited an art gallery in Edinburgh with my family while on a trip. We were supposed to say hello to the gallery owner from a friend back in Canada. But he was busy showing the only other family there (it was a rainy Sunday) his photographs of neolithic sites. Frankly, it got a little boring, but I did enjoy staring at the remarkably handsome visitor in his 40s, wearing a red V-neck sweater, leaning casually with an elbow against the gallery wall. His wife was petite and beautiful and they expressed lots of interest in the photos while totally avoiding looking at us. They had two very well behaved boys with them. It took my Dad a good 40 minutes to realize that the handsome man was Sean Connery. It was all he could do to contain his excitement. Fortunately, he kept his cool and we made a quiet exit.
It wasn't a luxury mansion at Lyford. Connery House is an understated cottage on the golf course. Nothing fancy except a backyard swimming pool.
He help at the end of his life a lot of talented kid responsible I care for the talent. I’m a kid and he care for others. Those you don’t have enough to make a difference was icon actor for humanity for better life for the future. Scottish can be proud of thetalent and generous generosity

Americans can't even find it on a map.
I lived my teenage years watching 007 movies with Sean as James. No other actor came close until Daniel Craig. But my favorite movie was "Wind and the Lion" was quite a different role, but Sean did a magnificent job. As he did in all of his movies. God bless him, and the world is a better place for him, having been here. Thank you

Most elegant and beautiful British man to exist
Young boys need a hero, and Sean's characters were great examples. Sean Connery was my first big man crush, and Sean will remain forever "the man" until the day I die.

LOVED HIM!!!!
THANKS!!!!
He was great as Bond but for some reason I never liked him….?? He once said “ It doesn’t do a woman any harm now and again to give them a slap…REALLY SEAN ??…….
Male chauvinist attitude. Shame.no matter how wonderful your talent is, there's no excuse for lack of respect for others. Walk away if you don't like the situation.
To err is to be human, let’s us not forget that the last person that was perfect, that walked this planet, was nailed to a wooden Cross with iron nails. Let’s celebrate the positive and remember the philanthropy, humbleness and stoicism of the man that brought such joy and happiness to so many through his performing arts and private personal touches.
WTF where is the crime? REPORT this guy for click bait
Always left the cinema feeling two inches taller after watching one of his Bond film, thanks for the best Bond ever.
I have heard that Connery was the first choice to play Gandalf in Peter Jackson's, ' LOTR's ', films, but turned it down to make, " League of Extraordinary Gentlemen '. Can anyone confirm this?
Unbelievable actor and Icon what pleasure he has given to millions of fans the iconic James Bond thank you Ash
i grew up with his films and have loved every one of his films
older years he still had it in the hunt for red october
I thank him for helping others 🙏🙏
The man was the epitome of masculinity, very much a mans man, he had it all, physic, looks, personality and he has by far been the best James Bond to date, ive watched many of his movies and hes been a credit to the profession, as a 70's kid every Xmas all the Bond movies would be shown and i cant tell you how many times as a 6 year old i sat in the back of my mums little mini pretending i could eject my horrible older sister who sat in the front and annoyed me cus i was too small, it was safer in the back apparently, these were the days when cars had no seat belts in the back lol i look back now and its crazy that its took decades for it to be a legal requirement! Connery was by far a fantastic actor and enjoyed the lady's, was he perfect? Nope, should he have lifted his hand? Nope! The world is a very different place some say for the better some not so much but my take away from this is if you can't speak well of the dead then say nothing!
GEE LET THE MAN REST IN PEACE
