I wonder can you use the trick that opens the browser to do this.
Aka the 1 where you simply type out a url and send it to a friend or a spare account that you have and then click on it in the messages.
I usually use it to watch TH-cam while I play, basically so that I dont have to look down at my phone.
Fyi I just checked and they finally changed it, you can't open google directly anymore. You can still type in TH-cam's url and it'll work, but you can't open google anymore which is sad.
They probably finally learned of this and feared for jailbreaks or just decided to finally shut down that function
@@CRAZYHORSE187 you don't understand it can play PS5 and PS4 games basically natively but with this it can possibly play Xbox 360, PS3 and all consoles older than that. And on Xbox to do emulation it costs money while it's completely free here and in this case it means that the console is fully opened up to whatever you want to do with it.
That could mean free games, modding on console and even installing Linux. Meanwhile on Xbox it's just an emulator.

If you send yourself a message with a link (Google) it’ll open a web browser and you can go anywhere you’d like from that point. I’ve been doing that since PS4 days.

@@UnknownUser-rv8jvGo to your PS5’s “Settings”, “System”, “System Software”, “Console Information”. Once you are at this point you will see something that says “System Software” below and to the right of that you will see what firmware version you are using

To check the software go to settings - system - console information then it will show the system software, (for example: 23.02-08.40...) all you need to look for is the numbers after the dash, in this case is 8.40, that is your system software number

Is there a way to downgrade the firmware? I'm on 8.60 and have tried to reinstall the system software with a 4.30 PUP file using Safe Mode but it won't let me cause it's not the most recent update? Is there a work around or another method of installing or maybe even file manipulation?

I get that. I'll echo what others have said here, not clickbait. I made sure to deliver on the promise of the thubnail and title, as I've done for the past 4+ years on the channel. I'll add just to hang in there and be patient, though; there's work being done to get newer firmware versions added to the jailbreakable PS5 list.

BE WARE!! WHAT HE FAILS TO SAY IS THIS VOIDS ANY WARRANTY! Read the warranty before doing this. Further Sony will not repair a PS5 with a jail break even if you pay for the repair. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Great question. My guess is that it might not just yet. It requres running a web launcher for PS4, along with the USB, for it to work on PS4. I've seen now that PS4 .fpkg files can run on PS5, but Linux uses a flashed USB with that OS on it instead. Would be AWESOME though. :)

I don’t think you can jailbreak a Switch lite as of right now.
The Switch Lite requires soldering.
Well, I would, but it's not something that's really softmoddable, so to speak. It would require a mod chip. It's something Nintendo has passionately rallied against and even gone so far as to take sellers of the chips to court. Probably not a path I can safely travel here on TH-cam.

Highly unlikely coz 8.20 is the latest firmware. Some people bought a second ps5 and kept it on the shelf never updated it waiting for this jailbreak. Also, you can turn off automatic updates off in your console settings and manually update the games using internet but there would be some updates for the games that would force you to update the system software. Even sometimes the console won’t play games and force you to update firmware.
I'm playing FC 24, and in this case can I play online as long as I don't have a jailbreak for 8.20? How long until 8.20 becomes a jailbreak? Because the 3xxx-4xxx have a jailbreak.@@thejackquinn2000

Nice and all but the latest firmware you can have (4.51) was released in March 2022. Too many games require system updates to run so unless yours has sat in a box for the last year and a half I guess come back later to see if they expand this.
That's for real. I'm on firmware of 8.0 and above.
this is true. with the current firmware, you'd literally have to just let it sit there for like 2 years until the jailbreak is available.

@@yashmetha1232 On the PS3 for example once jailbroken you get full control of the fan speeds (remember the PS3 is prone to overheating) and any PS3 model can play PS2 & PS1 games which only the very early models could do from factory.
I personally won't bother with the PS5 or PS4 JB, I'm more than happy to buy the games because the developers need to be rewarded for their work, the PS3 on the other hand is 15+ years old so.....

Nah imma pass. Switch was perfect for jailbreaking because the system offered 0 value for its 2005 built services. Better a free machine emulating the same Switch Online besides N64 perfectly + free new releases than an overpriced device probably costing $50 to make, produce, and ship
