2:39 according to the Fandom wiki, this depends on whether the game is in an ACT 0 or ACT 1 state. You can set your game to ACT 1 by waiting 35+ seconds at the title screen, and it switches back to act 0 when you turn the game off/ reset.
The green switch at 4:29 (lethal cavern) depends on ACT 0.
Actually the green switch at lethal cavern is completely unaffected. Back when I did this video, Act 1 wasn't public knowledge. I might go back and do ONE more video with the recent 1.0.2 release.
For the Metal Cap Switch in Jolly Roger Lagoon, you need to be in Act 1 to see it
Yep. I wanted to cover that mechanic a while ago (Since I discovered it very early in 0.9), but I didn't want to spoil it before a potential 1.0 release. Turns out that Chris leaked the mechanic at some point, so eh, I don't really know.
@@iitsMikeBTWO Talking about the whole waiting on the Mario face Press Start screen until he is asleep for a bit, and it reaches around the point where it WOULD jump to a automated gameplay Demo bit, to right then press start and load up a file? I haven't tried it since learning about it, so I wonder if that still works in version 1.0. 🤔

Welcome to the toad catacombs indeed. Hope you didn't roll any of the super nasty side effects that yellow switch comes with.
There is another way to get the Wing Cap switch: go to Beta Lobby B then Plexal Upstairs, turn right, go to the left of the slope and enter the door on the far end of the hallway. After that, enter the warp, traverse the course and enter the pipe at the end (there's also a star nearby but it kicks you out), which leads to Tower of the Wing Cap (beta). Long jump or triple jump to the tower with the cannon in the middle, then shoot up to the lonely side tower. The switch will be there.
Yep. I might need to redo this video. In 0.9 that way to get the cap was Act 1 exclusive.

@@user-xu9cp1cy5s So, the moment you enter the castle, dropping down the trap door puts you in bowser in the dark world (shoshinkai), which should give you a red star. Hope it helps.
@@iitsMikeBTWO oh! Well USUALLY RED STARS gives ya new moves... Soo lol i was pressing EVERYTHING to see what new moves I had xp well thx now that I know :D
@@user-xu9cp1cy5s So, the only red stars that give you new moves are the first two. The first one gives you the long jump, big side flip, and the summersault (b3313 exclusive move). The second one gives you the backflip. The rest of them just make the personalization values go up higher.
