One heads up about the Ninja's defense. When it says "ON [*], deal 1 damage" that means that when that symbol is showing that's the maximum damage you get from it. However, you'll notice the pirate's defense says "Deal 1x[/] dmg" and that means for EVERY dice with that symbol, you deal 1 damage. So ON means that regardless of how many times that symbol is shown it only happens once, but if it says deal 1x damge then it can happen multiple times. Hope that makes sense!
That's what I was thinking, but it seemed like they should get more damage on defense considering some of the other defense abilities. But thanks for confirming!
@@TheBrokenSeal The Ninja has the ability to gain a smoke bomb on their defense, which, if you already have a smoke bomb, would allow you two tries to evade all damage because you can quickly spend the first one before gaining the second one. Since each smoke bomb has a 50% chance of evading all damage, that's a pretty powerful defense. Plus the ninja pretty consistently deals 3 damage in return. I also noticed one turn where the ninja used a smoke bomb and succeeded but forgot to roll her defense -- she should still have rolled and dealt some damage back -- so ninja can actually be attacked and completely evade all incoming damage while also dealing damage back. Pretty powerful!
@@joelface See that makes way more sense. I was thinking it was because of their smoke bomb, but hadn't mathed it out like that. We'll make sure we do it right next time Ninja's used!
@@joelface this game was actually one of the reasons I got the new trays. Since it's nothing but dice rolling I figured we should have something nicer than the collapsable trays I normally use for RPGs and such.
21:45 when using smoke offering....i think you are to discard a card in your deck not the card that says smoke offering ...becuse it says discard one card not discard this card....plus you were to flip board moment you were out of curse da blooms...and you would of died because i thibk you take 5 damg when your cused..so she would of won
If I could make one suggestion - you guys should talk more. The video was pretty quiet overall, not the sound levels, but just the level of chatter. It would help the viewers understand what's going on if you just chatted a bit more, think out loud, talk about what you're thinking or what you're doing, etc. When you roll the dice a 2nd or 3rd time, talk about what attack you're going for, and what that ability does, for example. I think it would help your videos be a lot more accessible for newer players and hold everyone's interest a bit more.
Thank you for the feedback! It is something I'm trying to be more present and aware of in all of our games, but especially ones where there's a lot going on that can get confusing, especially for people unfamiliar with the game.
Love the sound of the dice rolling in that tray!
They do sound good right?!

ALWAYS LEARN your characters and their abilities while ALSO LEARNING your opponents abilities, luck only goes so far
I'd love to see a Barbarian vs Pyromancer battle between you. It's the hardest hitting matchup in the game! :P
We can make it happen!!
@@TheBrokenSeal Can't wait! :)
@@TheBrokenSeal Love your set up for Dice Throne btw. You have a nice dice tray and overhead view for gaming.
