You may want to check how you are performing the Ninja’s defense. You mentioned 4 or more damage a few times but the max it can do, without an upgrade, is 3. The key word is ‘on’ meaning if you roll any number of ninjato or shuriken, they still perform 1 or 2 damage total respectively. On the defense upgrade (Shade Shift 2), the ninjato portion changes to a ‘x’ meaning 1 damage per ninjato. Go Ninja, my bracket winner!
Total tangent here, but I just learned about Puzzle Strike 2, and you guys MUST play this rainbowy battle game. Jamie, this one's for you and I want to see you wave the hilarious magical scepter around at Jeff.

Yes!!! I have Pyro winning it all!! I'll be curious to see how I stack up in the final! I bought Dicethrone Adventures as a result of watching this. I love this game and have bought several of both season 1 and 2 characters. Keep up the fun content!
Should be a good final match. Pyromancer is tough, but I'm going to go with the Samurai to take the title. I'm playing along, but have only played one of my 2nd round matches so far (Seraph beat Cursed Pirate) Looking forward to seeing how it all compares in the end.

You all pronounced the Japanese words for the samurai better than the English words seraph and tournament! Lol in any case, great show!!! Please keep up the boardgamey content!!!
I didn’t catch this when I first got Ninja either, but the default defense roll is ON sword deal 1 dmg and ON shuriken deal 2 dmg. The upgraded defense is 1 dmg per sword, but it’s never 2 dmg per shuriken.
Pyromancer and Samurai in the warm gooey center of the bracket! We are NOT fans of Pyromancer (yet)...she is never as powerful for us as she is for others. We've only really experienced the glass part of the cannon. 🤣 Sad to see Ninja fall. She was my first character with which I won my first 11 games against my wife who couldn't get anything out of Moon Elf. Looking forward tot he warm gooey center!
Do you realize that the two of your are neck-in-neck in terms of wins and losses? 🤯 Not only are you going to determine the champion the next video - but you're going to determine who won the most games! 😊 I'm rooting for Pyromancer to win (even though my "outer" bracket was utterly destroyed by someone playing my choice heroes and not winning 😭 not mentioning any names 😉).
Hey Jeff and Jamie. Love y'all. Bad news, but you played the Ninja incorrectly. Jamie was dealing 2 damage back on defense rolls for each Throwing Star. The defense says deal 2 ON the Throwing Star and 1 ON the dagger. This means you were dishing back too much damage on lots of your defense rolls
I hate to be that guy, but ninja should have lost that first game, because their defense ability reads: "on shuriken deal 2" and not "deal 2 X shuriken", so even if you roll 3 shuriken in your defense you only deal 2 damage and not 6.
