Thanks for the battle report. Just started this game and we love it. Rules-wise: you do not end a kamae change on the focus, you basically move through that spot. You should always end on an actual kamae. I agree that rules are just weirdly written and sometimes the blocking/attacking feels strange. All characters play quite differently, with large variety with the element of deck building. Really awesome game, highly recommended.

I guess it didn't matter since you both didn't do it, but 5:25 pretty sure you needed to place 2 ships in your "other" C starting system (the gates).

Helped us figure out what we were doing wrong, thanks. We thought you needed a card to say you could put down a troop AND the resources to do it, lol. Massive decks before you could do much of anything. Nope nope. Thanks!

Around 18 minutes, the shark player forgot to put his search dice back in the bag which would have helped a lot.

We were looking for a video with instructions and stumbled upon this video with my 4, 9 and 10 year old… but the dude curses during the video a few times, I had to jump into another video. You are making a video teaching people how to play a game, kids will be watching, maybe watch your mouth a bit and you’ll have more followers.

When you fought the puma around minute 51, shouldn't you have added the torch to the combat deck? Or am I missing something? Received the game a few days ago and we've played it only once and had quite a few questions 😅

What an awesome game! Im currently waiting for my copy. Great playthrough, early on you placed 4 ships on a starport and I think the rule is 1 ship per starport per round. So you could place out 4 ships if you had 4 starports built. Hope to see another playthrough, keep up the great work!

I've been watching so much Arcs gameplay waiting to finally get my copy. I appreciated all the mistakes and fun banter.

I’ve watched a few gameplays already, so I jumped straight into the final thoughts. And I must say, you guys had a really cool conversation about it at the end! Hopefully you can get the expansion soon, you’ll see how much it TRANSFORMS the game. It’s wild!

I haven't watched the whole video (I'll try to later!), but one rule mistake that is a big deal is: at 10:51 the Wilder played Wispform and avoided an attack from the Winterborn. I.e. the Winterborn's card was metacountered (or disrupted if using the new terminology from Season 3). When this happens the disrupted card goes into the discard and all resources paid (actions/energy) are refunded. You didn't do the last part: the Winterborn player should have received their 1 action / 1 energy back. That way it sting less when you fail to use your cards and you still have resources to do something else. Please note that some cards say something like "counter target card". In that case, the target card goes into the discard and the resources are lost.
