Why do they not go the easy way? Give the Devas a Hidden Status and give the Deva Mace a Hidde Effect that only Characters with the new Hidden Status are allowed to equip it.
@@DieGurke_ Or just not worry about it. Really only people that have likely beaten the game a few times would use something like this. Think of it like a table top D&D play were the players do stuff that's not against the rules but still makes the DM face palm. Nothing new right?

A great match with hellriders pride is the ring of salving and the whispering promise ring you steal off of Volvo. Super great for act 1 and 2 even most of act 3, a simple mass heal grants all player resistance to all physical damage and basically bless for two turns without costing concentration. Mix this with a life domain cleric and the amulet of restoration. One of the best cleric builds
Amulet of restoration gives you spells the life cleric gets outside of preparing and makes life cleric irrelevant. If you're going life, pick the Periapt of Wound Closure.
@@ryudragon7 it gives you a free Mass heal, which in the early game can be really beneficial. Especially with the previous equipment equipped, 1 Mass heal instantly gives everyone resistance to all physical damage and Bless with about 15 or so health. The amulet is there just so you don't have to waste a spell. Switch it up when you don't need it or when you've already used it.
By the way, found a reliable cheese to kill Auntie Ethel (won't get you the hag hair though). Instead of locking the stairs she teleports to (sometimes she gets around the lock) pickpocket her, go outside and wait for her to confront you before attacking. If you have Lumps Warhorn, this is a perfect time to use it. As soon as combat starts (and you call Lump) have everyone run inside and stand behind the door blocking it. You might have to kill a couple of redcaps, but Ethel is out of range of her teleport, will only attack the ogres a few times until the redcaps are defeated, and she doesn't have the key to the back door. She can't get though your characters because you are her enemies which is why everyone has to block the doorway. If she doesn't die from the ogres, she mostly uses just Vicious Mockery making killing her easy once the redcaps are dead. Plus, there's a good chance Lump will die so you can get the Circlet of Intellect
Here's one for all you Risky Ring lovers, equip the Shadeclinger Armor from Quartermaster Tali, then hide in an obscured area, you will get a buff that gives you advantage on all saving throws until long rest. This buff persists even after after you take off the armor.
highly recommend grabbing the resonance stone under moonrise, especially if you decide to rescue Us / get them as a summon! they deal much greater (psychic) damage in combat, thanks to the stone making all creatures in the vicinity vulnerable : ) I was also still able to ask the GuildHall Bard about Quil as a non-dragonborn dark urge. Mine is currently a tiefling and I still had a dialogue option! I stumbled across that yesterday lol
Finally someone using my Trader mugging strat. Make it more interesting : reset your levels! As the inventory of traders is linked to your leveling up, you can achieve infinite money as soon as the Grove, by continually feeding the bag with the gold that respawn at each of your level up in the merchant inventory, because yes, the game won't erase it if it's in a container. It's quite time consuming, but there is no limit to this. Also, it's an excellent way to get infinite Strength potions with Ethel; just reset your level, and stock the respawing elixirs in the bag each level up. Luv!
With invisible enemies you can just simply use ranged attack by clicking on the icon of the enemy at the top with right mouse button and choosing 'attack' while holding a range weapon, the arrow will know where to hit and it will expose them
Can mark the bound weapon "for sale" and put it into trading screen via "add wares to offer" button. To mark it "for sale" you have to select it along with any other object. Another cool trick is getting immunity to prone/shove/throw etc. Equip Boots of Striding, cast any concentration spell, unequip the boots, end concentration. Now the effect is there until Long Rest.
You can use mage armor with ANY piece of equipment if you unequip them before casting the spell and then re-equiping it after. Worked really well with my arcane trickster Astarion who used the graceful cloth with a few light armor helmets for a good portion of the game and bardlock Wyll who had the potent robe and a bunch of medium armor equipment from mid act 2 till end game.
10:52 a way that slightly less likely to upset more than JUST the strange ox, is to throw a vial of acid at it. It's acid immunity makes it take no damage, so it doesn't explode into acid harming the other oxen. This requires the party to be out of combat range/investigation range, and then simply have the thrower move into the thief's den and teleport to emerald Grove environs. By the time you get back the investigation is done, nobody will agro, and you'll get the conversation to 'improve relations' and can just buy the ring.
@@clearglass6300 If you have a pact of blade warlock with bind weapon, you can bind an expensive weapon, then multi select a different item along with the bound weapon (because you cant normally add a bound weapon wares) and click 'add to wares'. The minion weapon swap, makes an Oathbreaker Paladin seriously Powerful, for a Necromancer party; and if said Paladin is equipped with Abyss Beckoners (the gloves with an Aura that makes summons reistant to all but Psychic damage). This combination makes all Zombies and Cambions summoned perfectly armed, with substantial dmg and saves bonuses and really tanky. Of course, you can't do this on a solo run, because you need at least Paladin lvl7 for both Auras. But an Oathbreaker, a Necromancer and anything else that makes either summons better of enemies worse, will be amazing together.
Not gonna lie, when i played my 2nd character and got him knocked out, once i saw those gloves i looked at shadowheart and said "looks like my white mage just became the best person in the party" mainly because where you save the halfling near the goblins in the druid cave thing. You can steal his head jewel thing to give a +1 nature. Im sorry for getting lone but this is truely one of if not the best game of all time
This one was REAL cool, I tried with invis, Lae'zel disarming strike, portent and a lore bard with cutting words and STILL missed it XD Edit: Tested this second, he now drops a Gith crssbow, not the sword anymore!
If the trader has a bag and you have a character with a bag all you need to do is drag items you want from the traders inventory into the open tab of their bag, open your character's bag inventory tab, and shift-click to highlight then drag the trader's items to your character's bag image tab and you'll get the items free of from trading. It effectively makes gold useless while conserving time to actually play the game.
Important to note: do it by dragging the items onto the ICON of the open bag in your inventory (as in, above the item slots of the bag, there's its icon, next to the close button or whatever) and NOT into the item slots. dragging them into the item slots actually bought them for me the first time I tried, lmao. For future reference, should work as of Hotfix 25, no guarantee for future (or previous) ones.
Don't know when it happened, but I think the Silver Sword has been fixed so you can't cheese it like this anymore. I just went through it earlier today, and he had his crossbow equipped, not the sword. I also tried to pickpocket him since it wasn't equipped, but it was not in his inventory. This might have been a bug for me, but I can't get it early this playthrough.
No it's definitely still in the game, I did it just yesterday. The crossbow thing is a known bug that we don't know the reason for. There's a chance that he just drops nothing instead too! You just gotta try again and hopefully he actually drops the sword lol (which sucks if you wanna do honor mode without closing the game to cheese)
Some of those are what I call exploits of bugs or things the devs didn't think about and shouldn't be possible. Like that flame blade trick, I'm pretty sure this was not intended mechanic.
Either they patched the pact weapon trick out, or it just doesn't work on consoles. When I tried it on PS5, the pact weapon doesn't appear in my inventory to be added to my side of the barter window, but also FYI on console the view is slightly different in that when you are bartering only the character model is visible on the left meaning not all their gear in their perspective boxes like shown in the video.
All of these are great but by any chance do you know any good working vendor tricks for console users? There's already the one with Volo which is great but it's a bit of a grind.
Look if I was a dev I wouldn’t patch stuff like this in a single player game I’d encourage my community to find fun ways to get these things and reward the most creative among them literally would do nothing but inspire your community.
can anyone let me know for the merchants trick how they select all for the items so they can tranfer it to the pouch/backpack. I made a few attempts but it does not work for me.
Click once on the first item, then shift-click on last item. That’ll select everything between the first item and the last item. Then just drag over to the open container’s Big Icon at the top of the window and drop. Items appear down below.
For the Strange Ox just save Mirkon from the harpies, which unlocks the “Dragon’s Den”. Take your party down the Adult-sized hatch, ungroup from the party, and go back up the ladder. Once topside ping the Ox with a minor attack, combat starts, and you click on the hatch. Go back up and you’re out of combat! Talk to the ox and you can then make amends by buying the ring. MOO!
