Ooooo! This looks great! I'm so excited to try this, no tomatoes or lemon juice! (I'm allergic to both) I was sure it have at least one but what a happy surprise. I don't even have to make substitutions. ^_^ Thank you so much. I love your channel. You do a great job showing how to cook the dishes and explaining things. My family has enjoyed everything I've tried from Spain on a Fork, I keep coming back for new ideas!
And I can’t have raw onions due to serious stomach issues or I will get seriously Ill.
@@marilynmadrid9550 What do you like to substitute? Can you do things like scallions at all? Or is that more of the same to your stomach issues? If you can do cooked onions I would just saute the heck out of them. (that's how I love them anyway) I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. I have a ton of food allergies and it makes life so tricky. I also suffer with combination IBS an gastric reflux so I have to be careful with onions, and a bunch of other things, or I can cause a flare up. Life is ridiculous, isn't it?
@@tempestholmes all onions are deathly for me and I’m highly allergic to green onions. I use either parsley or celery pantries a lot. They give great flavor.
Chives would be the best sub for the spring onion :)
As always....I cannot wait to make this dish!!! Thank you so very much 😋😋
Hope you enjoy! Much love :)

It's so interesting that the word for beans is the same in Spanish as the word for Jews -- our people have such a long history in Spain, and the Ladino language reflects that history today. I gather that the origin of the Spanish term came from the fact that Jewish people especially loved and cultivated beans, and shared them with their neighbors. And so perfect that this recipe, being vegan, is also beautifully kosher! A fantastic side dish for your Rosh Hashanah feast.
Much love :)
I’d like to add celery. as well ❤
Sounds great! Much love :)

Hello!!! Big long time fan here!! This looks great I can’t wait to try it!! Also - your cutting board link doesn’t work ):
Will check it out! Much love :)
I don't know if you have lettuce or salad greens available now in Spain. But you might try to spread this dish on top of some salad greens to enhance this bean dish. Just a thought.
This is how it´s typically served, but you can always add lettuce if you like! Much love :)
@SpainonaFork I've been all over Spain and have never seen this served. If you served this at a restaurant people would laugh at you.
@@jf9457. I have eaten in many restaurants that serve dishes from my part of the US and never seen a third of the cuisine served. I have traveled extensively in other countries and what I see served is tailored for tourists or people unfamiliar with the country’s cuisine. Eating at restaurants, even if you do it all over a country, is a poor way to learn what the people eat. You must be a guest in the homes of the people to learn what they eat.
@@merk9569exactly....my daughter lives in Madrid Spain, traditional food and food produced for visitors is miles apart. Some people are just not bright enough to see this!
@@jf9457not everything from a culture is served in a restaurant, in fact if you want to really know what people really eat in a particular country avoid restaurants.
Yummy yummy testy
Delicious
Much love :)
Dude looks like prime Fernando Hierro long lost brother 😂😂😂😂😂
lol....Much love :)
It's so darn hot here that I want anything that doesn't require the stove, oven, or fire. I hate summer.
Stay cool! Much love :)
How about some chopped cilantro and lime juice with it?
👍👍👍
Much love :)
Make something with red meat and eat it in a video.
This meal looks like someone is running out of ideas.
I dont think that any kind of bean food will make one feel good in any way, but there will be folks who try this.
I've had a similar dish, with red beans, no carrot. I like it a lot! Easy to take to work.
@@mirandamom1346 Yes, mine has brown rice and red beans, and peppers and onions as well. Possibly celery, I can't remember and a simple vinaigrette. I don't eat it in a wrap because of the rice, but it would certainly work
