When people outside of California talk sh-t about California, I’m always like which part of the state do they hate, cause it’s HUUGE state
Fr man I agree with you
Fr they just mean SF/oakland/LA
They think that's all California is. Their minds get blown when they find out that California has mountains and cowboys.
Generally people are talking about the Hollywood area and the cities. They forget there's still another 80% of the state to look at.
Bingo. Only someone living in California could understand. Whenever some fuckwit says “I voted for this” or along the same lines I roll my eyes because they literally have no idea how diverse and massive this state is.
This is the most random selection of California cities I’ve ever seen.
Redding showing up at all is astonishing
Mount Shasta would have been meme-worthy. UFO cults and all
Seeing Placerville made me genuinely happy
Where’s Porterville?

@@TimeToGetAGoodLifesame tho. Its like the people here are either unbelievably normal, way too cool to live here, or just actual crack heads. I do kinda love it tho. Ay deftones… maybe play a damn show here sometime
Nice to see something more than just LA. Crazy fact, California has more registered Republicans than any other state, even though everyone thinks this place is extremely left. Once you leave the cities it can be surprisingly “country.”
Well...california once was apart of the wild west not to mention belonged to Spanish/Mexican ranchers before that I wonder if the people who live in the "redneck" towns/parts of Cali have it easier than the ones living in LA
Oh yeah people have no clue. Most people I know are straight up republican conservatives. You need to go to the fancy big city towns to really see that stuff often.
Us natives get a bad rap from everyone coming to California thinking it’s all Hollywood and crazy liberal. It’s perpetuated itself. Make California California again
All states are like this. Cities tend to be left and rural areas tend to be right.
@@TimeToGetAGoodLifeconservatives also have more diverse friend groups.
Leftists are in a bubble.
Going from a rural area to uc Berkeley, where I went to college, was crazy. They all pretend to be tolerant and accepting but are the most entitled and elitist people ever and are totally bigoted with a white savior complex
But they hide it and pretend they aren’t being a white savior.
As a life long socal native, NorCal feels like a fever dream
I’ve lived in California all my life 24 years and I’ve never been to Norcal except for Sacramento one time.
You friggin' NAILED it! I grew up here(NorCal) and tried to leave but I'm too weird to fit in anywhere else 🤣🤣🤣
@@vvvnokk8309 38 years NorCal native from Sacramento area and I've never been to SoCal proper. Only through it on planes, buses and trains though I drove to Texas hitting Bakersfield then Barstow and that was the furthest I've driven down there. There are parts of SoCal I wanna check out but still haven't even though I've been to several other states and countries. The NorCal/SoCal divide is real and weird lol
Grew up in San Diego live in NorCal now it’s a little different but I’m used to it now
I was born an raised in SoCal as a highlander and spent about 2 years in Redwood City just a year ago. Been mostly everywhere in the Bay area, and saw a bit of real NorCal past SF. It's actually really gorgeous past SF, I highly recommend seeing it. Due to me being a highlander I don't enjoy the Bay area, so it's mega fever dream for me. All I could think about while I was up there was leaving as soon as possible. Only place I thoroughly enjoyed was Santa Cruz, can't believe they consider that Bay area though.
The absence of Carlsbad was a missed opportunity imo, could have put a Tony Hawk wojak in front of Legoland lol

There are more hispanics in compton now than anyone else but everything else was pretty accurate
There are more Hispanics in the entire state than anyone else. Go check the demographics.
The funny thing is that the shift happened back in 2012. I remember seeing the news report about it on tv
