Born and raised in Silicon Valley and this is hella accurate. The only change I would make is that the Northface jacket got upgraded to the Patagonia tech vest awhile back. You can walk onto any tech company's campus and the "uniform" now is a tech vest over a long-sleeved shirt with Allbirds shoes 🤣

Like technically yes it is, but it's silly as hell to someone like me who comes from actual NorCal. California is like four states: NorCal, SoCal, the Bay, and the Central Valley. I went to Cal Poly, and it's kinda funny. The people from NorCal seemed to bring it up more. Kinda like Boston and NY, I guess.
I think the reasons for NorCal people bringing it up more probably differ. For SF/bay area people yeah that's probably accurate. But for the rest it's like when someone clarifies they're from Upstate NY vs the City. The culture is just violently different and I never see it talked about anywhere.

As a NorCal resident who grew up in the Bay Area but loves traveling to So Cal including LA, OC, SD this is a funny video. So Cal ppl are definitely more aggressive, and entitled along with being maniacs driving on the road I can say that Nor Cal people for the most part tend to be a bit more passive, liberal and less confrontational. However, without generalizing you can find both in each regions of the state as the end of the day it’s still California. Nor Cal people definitely wear Patagonia, Northface, and have more of a “preppy” elitist mentality whereas So Cal tends to be more of a jock, actor/actress glamour vibes haha 😂
The dating culture in NorCal is much easier and more chill too. Sac native living in OC.
