Most of the "irony" they do is how they actually act but they want to mask it as being a joke to get away with being an idiot. Post ironic zoomers are the most annoying creatures on the internet right now and deserve mockery. They act so smug and morally grander than everyone. They act like they are so smart because they can use words like "unironically" "literally" any useless word filler to make their sentences appear intelligent when they follow whatever the algorithm online tells them to think based on nothing but emotion. They can't even defend their stances half the time. Most of the time they say "bro be (insert emoji here)" in response to any argument because they can't actually defend the things they stand for. They also talk in an annoying politically correct version of ebonics as well. they also have safe edgy memes. They talk about how unfunny and bad racism or sexism is. while they make memes talking about how much they dislike men and whites. Its the same with safe horny aswell. They always have to act like they are so morally better than everyone and its annoying. when they are no better than the things they criticize. Its always the same tale with these people "oh I grown and matured from 2016 and I was saved by the alt right rabbit hole" while they do the same things they used to do. just with a different ideological coat of paint, all because the algorithm changed and told them to feel that way. Thats why I call these people algorithm monkeys because they do whatever the algorithm tells them to do. What pisses me off more is that these people get all upset with gen alpha humor, I've seen them even label all gen alpha kids as "incels" For liking skibidi toilet and calling it brainrot. When the stuff they like is no different than all the dumb and annoying post ironic slop they follow. They are morally grandstanding people who project how much they dislike themselves onto other people to feel better about themselves.

it's a west coast thing. it comes broadly from silicon valley and from seattle. it's hard to explain but it's essentially the idea that you are a new man of sorts and you don't need to dress up like the suits who stick to their old ways etc etc. this is slightly hyperbolic but i'm trying to describe the essence of a thing which is hard without making generalizations. this is an extreme and specific manifestation of the casual west coast aesthetic in the same way that the tech guy with jean/sweatpants and hoodie is. it's a very specific look that attempts to look like it's not attempting, but it's rooted in the same overall category. you can see this similar thing crop up in the bohemian look of the 60s and how that eventually became a trendy way of dressing as opposed to an actual grassroots thing. this is really just another cycle of modern trend-capitalism, but in this specific cultural sphere. idea within a small group -> becomes more broadly adopted -> mainstream industry notices and commodifies it -> thing loses initial meaning and slowly dies -> years later that thing is revived in zombie form targeting people who have a vague idea of the thing and it's meaning but never experienced it's original 'arc' or only the very tail end of it. in this case industry is social media in addition to the older clothing manufacturing industries and traditional methods of advertising.

Yeah Marx's quote really didn't consider how influential Napoleon III was on internal economic policy. Had the 2nd Republic remained in power France would've had a far rougher industrialization.
he was ok. his entire career he was kind of cosplaying as his uncle who was an entirely different kind of leader than he was and he only really hit his stride when he switched to manipulating popular politics to formally become instated as Napoleon III. it's not an entirely unfair comparison because he was never very good at military matters but he had to adopt that part of his uncle's legacy as part of his public persona. he did fight the crimeans and the austrians but in those wars the french had constant problems(including the fact that he didn't provision the army with enough artillery which meant they had to take them off of the ships to use in ground battles at various points). he made a number of mistakes in the war with prussia but prussia also had overwhelmingly better artillery technology so i'm not sure he could have done anything but lose better in that situation.
Harvey Weinstein had no problem doing what he did to support feminine qualities, so the fact that you believe this quote sums up a personality of reciprocal manipulation, degeneracy, and insincerity, goes to show how social bargaining (which was once a group effort made by normies to keep anybody who shoes signs of compassion out of their echo chamber of hatred) is slowly dying. 🤦♂🤦♂

This is exactly what happens when people don't learn about "individualism" in grade school: They become trend whores. Imagine a generation of adults with TikTok on their phone good GOD man.
I think the idea is that, if you LARP for long enough, you become the thing you're LARPING; the artificial becomes natural. However, paganism (outside of Hindus sort-of) is a dead religion. The chain of Tradition has long been broken. It's not authentic.
It's signaling inflation and eventually it erodes whatever was behind the original signaling value and then something new pops up for the reasons the original one did and round and round it goes
It’s basically “The Hipster 2.0” where they turned traditional classic rugged masculine looks into something something modern metropolitan; city folk LARPing as rustic folk or 1890s pugilists then 1980s dirt bag now. But thing is, it's still ugly. It doesn't matter if it's on purpose or not. If a guy smeared shit on himself "ironically" and with full self-awareness, he would still smell like shit to others. Doesn't matter what kind of multi-layer post-ironic ideology he tries to hide under, what everyone around receive is still the same old smell of shit. This goes for clothing, makeup/cosmetic care, gym etc any kind of more than minimal effort is "uncool". So these people think that if they overdo it radically in other side, they will be uber-cool, right...? But also at the same time I feel a mature person should notice the absurd and nonsense of this, and grow out of it by the time they're out of high school, start to be genuine to themselves and pursue self-improvement on their own, instead of hiding in another layer of post-irony in an attempt to remain "hip", while the truth is they're the most lame mfs on the planet.
People tend to choose fashions based in their personal beliefs, and their looks and physical mannerisms/behaviors reflect their personality. That's why these guys look so uniform, they follow similar beliefs, they follow similiar lifestyles that guides them to certain choices which ultimately make them look and act the way they do
As I get older and become more "myself", doing my thing more and more I see how much a LARP/cosplay most of these peoples lives are. They see these laid out archetypes and just go wow, " i can be so unique being the 937 thousandth guy like that!", you wonder what the mental process is there and realise they are just that simple, despite saying they are such individual thinkers, they fail the first test. "Post ironic" humor should be called a lying cynic since they are just that, people who do things earnestly but lie about it
Most of the "irony" they do is how they actually act but they want to mask it as being a joke to get away with being an idiot.
It's newspeak for the word equivocation. Since it uses the words of "ironic humor" as a misdirection or shield to soften the recipients skepticism. So that it is seen as a character trait and not a character flaw like someone who is described as a person who likes to obscure with equivocation.

it's a west coast thing. it comes broadly from silicon valley and from seattle. it's hard to explain but it's essentially the idea that you are a new man of sorts and you don't need to dress up like the suits who stick to their old ways etc etc. this is slightly hyperbolic but i'm trying to describe the essence of a thing which is hard without making generalizations.
this is an extreme and specific manifestation of the casual west coast aesthetic in the same way that the tech guy with jean/sweatpants and hoodie is. it's a very specific look that attempts to look like it's not attempting, but it's rooted in the same overall category.
you can see this similar thing crop up in the bohemian look of the 60s and how that eventually became a trendy way of dressing as opposed to an actual grassroots thing. this is really just another cycle of modern trend-capitalism, but in this specific cultural sphere.
idea within a small group -> becomes more broadly adopted -> mainstream industry notices and commodifies it -> thing loses initial meaning and slowly dies -> years later that thing is revived in zombie form targeting people who have a vague idea of the thing and it's meaning but never experienced it's original 'arc' or only the very tail end of it.

Napoleon III was based tbh. Nietzsche supported him
Yeah Marx's quote really didn't consider how influential Napoleon III was on internal economic policy.

Neo Pagans larping is a very accurate metaphor. I call this aestheticisim, a supertition that adopting the fashion of a archetype will give you the personality, mentality and skills of that archetype. Putting the cart before the horse.
what the fuck is personality? I've never met someone with personality.

It's pretentiousness as a fashion style

It's Normies styled like how we grew up
@@czwarty7878this, right here, is the best description of this hairstyle, and like, why are they so obsessed with breaking norms and having unconventional looks? It's honestly pathetic..
@@ruriwijaya595 I think I know why. It's insecure people who are terrified of being criticized or laughed at. They're terrified that they'd fail in their attempt at styling, clothing, aesthetics etc and someone would point that out to hurt them. So in some weird self-destructive pre-emptive maneuver they choose this aesthetic of being repulsive and ugly on purpose, as to disarm any potential criticism that someone could send their way, with "haha nooo bro you don't understand, it's on purpose, I'm looking like a hobo IRONICALLY".
Same applies to looking like a disgusting hobo, the repulse people feel remains unchanged, it's automatic, visceral response.
@@ruriwijaya595 And by the way, you know, I somewhat feel for these people because indeed our society today goes through this weird phase of shaming people for caring about their self-image ("don't give in to oppressive beauty standards!!!" while someone just dresses preppy or invests in their looks), while simultaneously being horrible to anyone who doesn't meet looks standards, like they demand you to look good, but also to look good naturally and effortlessly, never by your own work and dedication, and you're supposed to "not care" to be cool.

Social media has made people so desperate to stand out that they swarm like vultures to any niche or aesthetic. Its aamazing how much the word poser has fallen out of use like it's no longer a bad thing. But that's what the majority of these types are. It used to be that your living situation, environment, and attitude influenced how you presented yourself. A natural phenomenon specific to that time period where others also adopted the same look due to sharing the same life factors. People eventually notice and archive it as a product of the times
But social media has made it so forced because people want to stand out so badly that they adopt all sorts of looks without even knowing the story behind them and how they came to be. Much like a poser does.
