    You've heard me talk about the problems that everyone in California is facing, but I want to tell you about the personal issues I deal with every day. I was born in Los Angeles - Burbank, to be exact - and I've lived here all my life. It pains me to have to leave my beautiful state, but this place has become uninhabitable. Here are some of my personal stories about my experience dealing with these problems, and why I can't stay here anymore.

    Good for Ben! I just moved back to California 3 months ago after 20 years in Florida for a "great" job opportunity. I feel like I'm waking up in the apocalypse every day. A 6 figure income here provides a lower quality of life than working at a gas station in Florida. I have to wait to escape due to wife's health issues for another month or so. I'm not sure I'd be able to bring myself back ever again even for a weekend to attend a family members funeral. I sold my home in Florida that was paid off and gave away all my cars, boat, rv, and possessions to get here. I'll be going back with my truck and little else. I've been relieved of my cash at an alarming rate. I'd strongly warn anyone to never make the mistake I have by missing family and your home town. It no longer exists. Save yourselves and run for your nearest border. I will kiss the ground as soon as I see the welcome to Arizona sign soon. I should have heeded the advice of literally everyone and stayed put. I sincerely hope California falls in the ocean before they keep spreading their cancerous lifestyles and ideology to the decent Americans across this great country. I pity those who don't know the difference between communism and capitalism. God bless America and I pray the remaining Americans find the power within themselves to fight against the invasion.

    • @jh748
      @jh748 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sometimes people deserve what happens to them; Karma. You are clearly a gullible, uneducated person and think the authoritarianism and dictatorship-like state government is not a cancerous lifestyle or ideology. Your right communism and capitalism are very different but Desantis is much closer to Putin than anything we have ever had in this country. I moved from CA to FL 10 years ago and it was the biggest mistake of my life and in the process of moving back. You refer to the word "invasion" without a cent of what it really means; talk to any Ukraine about fighting against a real invasion. People like you do in fact deserve what you get and people like you do not deserve to live in a younger, innovative, forward thinking society but rather in the middle of the AZ desert.

      This was a year ago now. Are you still in CA or did you escape? And THANK YOU for sharing your story.

    • @BLOODFART309
      @BLOODFART309 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @QuitTheBlueCircus oh I escaped lololol. I took a huge hit selling my convertible bentley I liked so much, just so I could leave without delay. Started a new construction company since I've been back in florida. Things changed fast here while I was in San diego. People from CA and NY swarmed it here, and the price of rent and everything tripled. It's just as bad as California now, except for the the high taxes, costs of utilities are still low here, no people sleeping outside, freedom supporting politics, and a business friendly environment here. The new people here drive very badly, and make each day challenging because of it. I was having panic attacks, stress issues, and vertigo in san diego for months. All symptoms cleared up when I got back florida. I used to love the stress in Cali when I was a kid. Incapacitates me now. The scams and price gouging in California were insane. Trying san diego again was by far the most stressful and costly mistake I have ever made in my life. I deeply regret it, and will until I pay off another home hopefully one day and get partially back to where I was. It's hard every day living with the consequences of the failed adventure. California is just too restrictive on business, way too much taxes, the homeless issues were very depressing because I see them as humans, the people were scared and or sad, and the cost of living was super high for a very low quality of life. I did like the access to so many different restaurants. Weed dispensaries everywhere for recreational use was fun. Amenities required a fight through traffic and crowds that made them undesirable whatsoever. Medical care in the best hospital in so cal was infuriating to witness, as well as the system in general for regular care for my wife. All bad except the food and weed. Water is polluted and the beaches are sad to look at. So much sadness in the air. When I was a teen there it was a different world full of sunshine and opportunity. It's gone.

Also, the place is just too crowded! Driving on the freeway is often like parking on the freeway. Good for you for leaving! Although I do miss the little Mexican fast food joints.

      Thankfully the US is composed by self governing bodies (States). California is going to shit, all the entrepreneurs are leaving and we won’t have people to take money from to give it to the people mooching of the government programs. Lol Wyoming has a very high suicide and divorce rate, some of the worst actually. It's not so much politics like everyone likes to think, too many people and not enough affordable sustainable housing or infrastructure to support a population living on meager wages. It'll happen anywhere the community booms. I'm watching it happen where I'm at in AZ and it's not a super group of CA libs either. Places like CA, OR and WA happen to also have stable weather that allows for homeless to set up camp all year where places like AZ are rather difficult to do so. Just too many people man.

We arrived from Toronto, Canada to San Francisco, rented a car and drove the 101 down to Los Angeles, then returned to San Francisco through the interior and wine country. What a beautiful place! So clean, so prosperous. We seriously considered emigration to California, but decided to stay because of our families. Now we are so glad that we did not do it.

There is a huge difference between the two groups and I have never minded seeing Hippies, they are happy, giving, respectful, and interesting to talk to but if you come across certain types of homeless people they can be aggressive, scary, demanding and intentionally gross. All up and down the coast is like this.

Now in Southern Utah which is like living in Mayberry. No one tailgates here, road rages, no one flips you off, no one drives in the left lane unless they are actually passing, people not only return shopping carts to the corral but they stack them neatly into the other one. Main Street is lined with American Flags every 20 feet on both sides over 4th of July and Veterans Day, Main Street is decked out in Christmas decorations on a Biblical scale, there's no homeless camps, virtually no homeless people. Everyone smiles and says hello to you on the street. Schools educate, not indoctrinate, young kids both boys and girls ride their bikes everywhere without Mom and Dad protecting them. You see people wearing Patriotic clothing, flags in front of houses and on cars and trucks. People walk into banks with six shooters on their hips, no one bats and eye. It goes on and on, everything America was, everything that The Peoples Republic of Ca rejects, hates and has banned is here with a serene way of life like the 1950's

    I'm 70 and from Louisiana. When our family vacationed there in 1967, none of these problems existed, as least as much as we were aware. I will say the AIR QUALITY was horrendous. I say this because as a family, we had to duck inside air conditioned stores while walking on Hollywood Blvd. during the day because our eyes were burning from the smog! Apparently, the air quality has dramatically improved due to car emissions restrictions, which caused a bulk of it. Oh, and it was overwhelmingly white, which of course, kept the crime relatively low and improved the quality of just about EVERYTHING, including public school education. Now, the reverse is true. The city is now overwhelmingly MINORITY, which is NEVER a good thing. Without turning this into a book I could write, I rest my case.

      Christina Knight I never thought I would see all time high housing and bidding wars during historic unemployment and job insecurity but recent events show I know very little about the economy. I’m looking at Salt Lake City, Reno, or Arizona. I work in Manufacturing so my options are a bit limited.

      That is the dumbest thing I've ever read. Why would those of us that have fled a fascist catastrophe go somewhere and demand more fascism? It is a proven fact that the people that flee California vote conservative at a higher percentage than the host population. The problem lies in YOUR millennials and not us.

      @@fullclipaudio you can tell that to the native Idahoans who are facing massive problems with the exodus of young Californians who bring their backwards, flippant attitudes, low morals and complete lack of respect and decency for their neighbors. Tell them that; because a lot of those people are now lamenting that their state is becoming another 'California'. So yes, @Steven Bruss has a very valid point. It is also happening in other states, so before you state how that is the 'dumbest thing you ever read', maybe take a step back and realize Steve might be talking about people without right-wing values or politics. People ruining great states b bringing the problems of their own selves into those states. The exodus into other states is not just right-leaning people, not by al long shot. It's not just 'millennial' either. More than just 'millennials' are moving and causing issues. That's what has a lot of states very concerned and it should.

      @@fullclipaudio crazy, but history proves that is exactly what people do. They flee leftist fascism only to go somewhere else and vote in other leftist fascists. The only thing I would say is do a simple observation of states with conservative or conservative leaning governors, they likely don't have the problems you're fleeing, hmmm, why is that?

    I was stationed in California 80 - 81. I saw what one has to be in order to live there. A fanatic liberal. I saw crazy policies and laws being enacted there, with undaunted support from libs.
    If the "Democratic" party said it would be a good for one, to take off their shirt and twirl it around over one's head, once a day, the libs would wholeheartedly agree.
    Many of them had the nerve, to have blamed California's problems on Reagan when he was Governor there. When Reagan left, the treasury was left in the black.
    Since then it stays in the red and gets worse and worse.
