Sometimes the problem with the Marvel movies now is that they're more concerned with making each a piece of a larger puzzle. And not enough time is put in making individual stories. In the comics, back in the beginning focus was on just that one story told. Later the comics became more connected, and that's the trap the movies have fallen prey to. Too many characters, too much time devoted to building an interconnected "universe" made worse by making that universe an endless multiverse. Just write a good standalone film. Every film doesn't have to involve saving the universe. That's one of the things that makes Spiderman enduringly popular - smaller stakes, more personal storyline, and a bit of distance from the whole universe (thought that is starting to go away). But having said that, I'm still very excited to see this film. Anthony Mackie is a terrific actor and I'm looking forward to seeing him shine, not as a background character, not as comic relief, but as a lead. I like how you keep an open mind towards the creative process. I do believe that Marvel Studios really cares about the quality of the story they tell and the films they produce in the end. It shows in the choices they make after less then stellar performances. I don't think they've ever released a "bad" film or show, of course definitely less than average a few times, but taste is always subjective. Kind of hard to predict the moves they will make going forward. A lot of things have forced their hand in too many ways, it's either going to be a weird or exciting next couple of years. :)
Its easy to forget that Winter Soldier had nearly three weeks of reshoots before release. And at the time it came out, it was a different time for Marvel and for audiences. Snowden was still fresh in the public's mind and the country was just becoming aware of the US's use of combat drones in controversial ways. So at the time, many critics questioned whether the similarities in the plot of using Project Insight was appropriate for a Marvel movie. Sounds stupid now, but there was a lot of ink spilled over it. Not just that but the level of more realistic violence was also controversial for some. Until Winter Soldier, Marvel was still viewed as 'family friendly'. I know these don't directly compare to what's happening around BNW, but I think it's worth remembering that Marvel movies being messy before release is the norm, not the exception.
Marvel's biggest problem is announcing projects before they've written anything and always relying on the idea that they can fix in the next step, with publicly announced rewrites and reshoots etc. Quality control in those first steps is key

Eh, I'm not really interested in this movie regardless. I'm sure all the highlights will end up online within days of its release anyway.
I always don't care what people say about anything with any movie I will.always watch for myself
No doubt.
I can’t wait to check this out
Just go head and scrap the project and write it off on the taxes.
"Comicbook fans." That's rich. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's sad. They can have all the talents from Hollywood but can't get a movie plot right
I’m hopeful but hesitant. Also, claiming that you have friends who enjoyed Joker 2 isn’t all that motivating either.😂🤣😂
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I'm no less excited to see this movie.LFG!!
The new Captain. A sky roaring soldier.
Great explanation of what the fans are looking for.
The expectations are probably so high that it's goin to be hard to impress a lot of people. Especially super fans of Marvel
Given the strength of Agatha All Along, I’m optimistic that this Cap film is in safer hands than I felt a year or so ago
Sweet
Can we get Russo’s in to eval film and consult?
Marvel's biggest problem is announcing projects before they've written anything and always relying on the idea that they can fix in the next step, with publicly announced rewrites and reshoots etc. Quality control in those first steps is key
They have basically spent more time on reshoots than most films get in there entirety.
