- If you look at the ingredients on commercial non dairy creamer you will be a little shocked. I make my own. You can customize it and it lasts long term in the pantry.
Powdered creamer
1/2 cup powdered sugar or do like I did and run 1/2 cup sugar in your blender to make you own
1 cup powdered milk or powdered coconut milk (Azure standard has a great one) www.azurestand...
1 Tablespoon coconut oil
Add ins if you desire - 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, cardamom, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder for chocolate creamer, vanilla powder, thing of all the options!
The best price on many of our pantry staples is Azure Standard. We love their apple juice cranberries, chocolate chips, oats, molasses, flour and just about anything we have purchased. www.azurestand...

If I weren’t diabetic I’d love this.
I learned 2 things today! Never knew you could make your own powdered sugar. I live wayyyyy out of town and this is helpful info! Thanks!
I've been making a version of this powdered creamer for a couple years now, though I don't use sugar. I buy powdered heavy cream, powdered coconut cream, & powdered vanilla bean for my base. for sweetness, powdered stevia or 100% monkfruit. If we want flavors, I add extracts to the melted coconut oil prior to blending it in with the powdered mixture~ also a dash of salt to bring out the other flavors, even the flavor of the cream is enhanced, imho.
*This particular version is great for people who are low/no carb, because our bodies burn fat for energy, rather than carbs~ which means the heavy cream & coconut oil are a big yay!
Absolutely the recipe I was looking for. You’re quickly becoming one of my favorite TH-cam channels!
Wow, thank you!☺️
Just found you on TH-cam. Thanks so much for the recipe. I like cinnamon and not vanilla. So many store bought creamers have to put vanilla in the cinnamon!
I love the idea. I would add coco powder and cayenne pepper and mix it in coffee. I would also use the homemade creamer in hot chocolate. Thank you for another great recipe.
Heck, I just use the Nido powdered milk for creamer when I can get it on clearance discount at the Grocery Outlet. Skip the sugar.
I wish we had a grocery outlet near us.
I started using powdered milk in my coffee about 40 years ago, using Nido w/a RED lid 20 years ago as it tastes MUCH BETTER, plus has vitamins & minerals as it's a toddler formula - I know, but it is great! I also love just Nido & a pinch of Maxwell House Vanilla Cappuccino per cup; I also mix them for camping by saving the empty Cappuccino canisters & mixing & stirring them in that. I've tried ALL powdered milk options available, found none that tastes better.
Edit: P.S. I do not like the Vanilla Bean, just French Vanilla.
I’ll have to look at that version of Nido!
Why not liquid milk if ur not camping
Wow! We have a tornado survival station in the basement, and I hate the liquid coffee creamer packs we stock down there. This, I think, will be a much better product. Thanks so very much!
Same here, I love my powdered Coffee Mate.
I just tried this recipe!! Y’all!!!!! I added pumpkin spice to mine, because I love it. This creamer is now officially my go to!! My coffee is so creamy and delicious! ❤ If only we were neighbors 😇 Thank you so much!!! Many blessings!!
So glad! Pumpkin spice sounds amazing in it. I cannot even explain how much this recipe changed my coffee. We love it and I’m so glad you did too. Now I’m off to make some with pumpkin spice!!!!
I always add turmeric and it makes it creamier richer yum. And a dash of pepper and salt.
You can also blend up salt to make the finer popcorn salt. Save a lot of money
I really needed this tip today. Thank you
Great DIY Thank You I will try this.
Amen and ditto! I was just thinking how nice it would be to have a DIY powdered creamer. Then Voila I found you with this terrific recipe! THANK YOU!
I used to use the flavored creamers a lot. All the processed oils that are in it is what I am trying to stay away from. Now use flavored extracts (just a drop or two) and its my go to now. I use banana (so good), mint, peppermint, vanilla and pumpkin spice.
Can't use regular powdered sugar because it has corn starch in it. That'd make an icky cuppa coffee. Using the blender to make your own "powdered" sugar is your best bet
It’s fine in coffee
It’s also fine on French toast dusted over top when ur outta syrup
I'm a new subscriber and I'm enjoying your videos that I've watched already. I know there is a lot of chemicals in creamers so thanks for this one to try homemade
Thank you! I’d opt for the coconut powder because I’m lactose intolerant, but this is awesome.
Excellent video...
Thank YOU so much for sharing this video... just in time for my camping trip too.
NOTE:
Next time you make a video (please) mute or edit the loud sound of the Blender.
Thank you.
I’m working on getting better equipment. We’re a newer channel and I only have an old iPhone for now.
Thanks for the recipe, I switched to powdered creamer years ago because I don’t drink milk fast enough for it not to spoil. Glad that I have a way to contrive my own, now.
I do want to warn you about Hershey’s cocoa, you can google it, but the FDA keeps knocking them for too much lead when testing.
And cadmium.
I’ve got some organic from Azure in order. I’m working through this and I’ll be switching brands.
Take your milk that's about to go bad and add it to any buttermilk and it will turn to buttermilk. Never have to buy buttermilk again 😊
I am going to try this with some nut allergy friendly powdered whole and lactose free milk I found on Amazon. I will omit the coconut oil because of allergy. Good to know it’s optional.
U can prob add a neutral oil like avo oil
It’s not much in there but doesn’t a great job
Powdered coffee creamer makes a great fire starter and bears are attracted to the smell of it. I worked in a remote camp, a bear broke into a building and destroyed all the containers in the break room.
Yikes!
Well that’s good to know 😮
I have been thinking about not having access to coffee creamer lately. So- God coffee is part of my rhythm for rest and ministry you know I am busy doing as you tell me, not perfect at it, but trying to be a good servant. Can you please help someone with the gift of hospitality bless me in this way and keep it low carb? 💕 Amen
What would you add for caramel macchiato? Coffee is the reason I get up every morning. Thank you for doing this video. I am going to do this. 😊
Have you tried making caramel to add? It’s not terribly hard and tastes great.
I’d find a new doctor before I’d let one convince me to give up coffee. Just sayin. 😬
I almost did! I like me tea now.
"Amen Sista... Amen"
😂😂😂. I drink coffee and tea. I got the best of both. This creamer recipe will for others as i drink mine sweet free.
Just depends on ur health
U do what u need to do
Powder is lower in calories and why I use it. It use to have milk cultures in it.. They are all oil and preservatives, even the refrigerated "Sweet Cream".... literally oil and it doesn't neutralize coffee at all. I use to love that flavor, but I was dumping a ton of it in my coffee and it wasn't until I read the label that I figured out was I having stomach issues.
You’re so talented
Do you know how to get the French vanilla flavor or macchiato flavor? Or even caramel. I use stevia, can you use that instead of sugar?
You can use stevia powder for vanilla I would try to make stevia sugar where you add a vanilla bean and it adds the flavor to your sugar. Caramel I would try brown sugar to see if it adds the flavor you are looking for. There is a stevia brown sugar.
Love this recipe. How much cinnamon and cardamom would you add for a chai spice per mix and per a cup. Please and thank you. I love what you do and i now have some
great xmas gift ideas
I’ll have a chai version out soon!
Thank you I do mine is coke 0
Thanks, this is a great idea for me ❤❤. Where do you get the whole milk powder? Never seen that in the grocery store in my area
Walmart, Sam’s club, the grocery next to the milk or sometimes it is on the Hispanic isle.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa thanks!
Amazon has it and the coconut milk powder.
Just made this! I had non-fat dried milk on hand so I used that. Also, added a little vanilla paste. Will try it later today. Thank you!
Opps! I doubled the sugar…. Will see how it comes out.
I don’t like sweet in my coffee. But how would it turn out without sugar? Love your videos. Thanks for sharing. Usally I like coffee mate powder. But getting expensive.
It’s a very creamy milk without the sugar. I think you will like it. Try a small can from Walmart and if you don’t like it use it in bread or things that call for milk.
American dishes eye kitchen try American cuisine love it
If I were you, I'd AVOID like the PLAGUE... anything & and everything, Nestle.
This is the guy who pushed for ALL of us to PAY for bottled water, and he adds a lot of ingredients that are very questionable. FYI.
Should they bottle it for free?
Thank you so much ! I always use coffee mate . Not anymore 🎉😅😂❤
Gonna try that. Thanks from Fairbanks Alaska!
Hope you enjoy and welcome!
🌷Too funny. Watching from North Pole Alaska here. 😊
thank you Ali!
Question…. Can you make a Carmel Sugar?
Honestly more caramel flavor is made with brown sugar. If you make our coffee creamer but add brown sugar you will get a caramel flavor.
Me too oolong tea or diet mt dew
I use Cremora. 5 tsp in each cup of coffee. 2 cups a day. Plus 2 tsp sugar in each cup.
Where are you finding creamora that used to be my favorite but they don't have it around me anymore
Walmart has a non-fat powdered milk called KASIM. It was $7.50. Being non-fat you will have to add yours of choice. Also ZNatural Foods has powered coconut milk 1 lb/$10. It is very good.
Well I don't drink coffee and don't drink hot tea or soda, but I drink water and ice tea and that is it but it nice know and thank you and save trip
No milk? Yogurt?
Juice?
What blender do you have? I tried using my food processor to make powdered sugar and it didn’t grind the sugar fine enough, it was still gritty after processing for nearly a half hour!
I have a blendtec I got refurbished and love it!
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa thank you!
If you put a piece of plastic wrap over the top of your blender before you put the top on it will keep the “dust” from sticking to the lid!
Genius!
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa in the spirit of full transparency, I must admit that I **hangs head in shame** stole it from someone else!
Amazon has your Trader Joe’s winter wake up tea but is very pricey
Where could you buy Powdered Vanilla?
Amazon has some but I’ve tried it with vanilla pudding mix and it was pretty good.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa
Thank you...
I would have never thought of that.
Cool
Coconut allergy here what can I use instead xx
Leave it out and it will still be perfect. It just helps the powder hold together. You can also add a pat of butter to your coffee and let it melt in for the same result.
Can I use Allulose ????
You sure can. I would add a little at a time until you get the desired sweetness since it is different than sugar in strength.
Coffee mill is quicker, quieter and much less mess to wash up
Thank you!😊❤
😮I make homemade liquid coffee creamer and this recipe is much better. I can double up and make a larger amount because it’s shelf stable. I can’t wait to try this and really appreciate your helpful video. I’m so excited to try this!!!
It’s so not the same 😕
I just use cream n a flavor in my foofoo coffees
How long is it shelf stable with coconut oil in it
I’ve had it last a 3 months with no issues. You can leave it out as well and the end powder is just more powdery feeling and a little less creamy.
Coconut oil is very stable
And sure is sugar
It’s fine for a looooong time
Powdered sugar has cornstarch in it
Love watching videos like this that show us how to DIY! Thanks for another great demo. Greetings from the west coast of Canada. I'm a senior and can tell you to not worry when you are having a brain stall in trying to recall a word for something... It happens to me occasionally when I just need more sleep.
Welcome!
It happens to me cuz I’m old 👵🏻
Thanks, agian, for an awesome video. I will be making this for my stand-by creamer if I run out.
Hope you enjoy. I added some pumpkin pie spice to mine this morning to get some fall feels in my life.
Our powdered milk any kind is 33$. Canada
Ouch!
😮
Wow, that’s expensive.
I’m a faithful tea drinker. Now and then I will drink some coffee. But those creamers are getting expensive and sometimes the favorite I like is always gone. Do you also have a video for the liquid creamers?
I don’t yet. I’ll see if I can throw one together for you
Funny thing about your tea…. I also have Trader Joe’s winter wake up and good earth sweet and spicy used to be my FAVORITE tea EVER.. cant find it anywhere.. please tell me where you get yours?
The Trader Joe’s winter I had to get off eBay. They will sell it again in October and I plan to buy a ton! The good earth I got at Kroger.
This is awesome. I wish I had found your channel sooner. I could have used this for my camping trip a couple weeks ago! Thanks for sharing!!
Ahh, I hate that for you. Glad you found us now. Hope the trip was a blast.
Have you made instant chai tea latte before…really good…very similar ingredients. Great info thank you!
Yes I have. I’ll have a video on it soon.
I love the nestle chocolate creamer. I KNOW it’s bad. I’ve tried to stop. I will try your recipe!
It’s all about compromise. I eat some thing I shouldn’t (lots actually) and I do good in lots of other areas.
Any idea what the ingredients of nido are? Its a brand who are known for additives. I looked on amazon and none of the photos show the sude of the can with the ingredients.
I just ran out but as soon as I buy another can I’ll post it for you.
I don’t use sugar I my coffee and was wondering if the creamer tastes sweet? Thank you
It does but you can decrease the sugar or leave it out completely.
Thanks, sounds good
I can't stand any kind of vanilla. Still looking for a recipe that will give good flavor but not use vanilla
Well, no vanilla on this recipe. Hope you give it a try.
I love French vanilla powdered creamer how do you get the flavor
Add vanilla sugar or a little vanilla pudding mix
I am going to try this with sugar substitute. I may have to whirl it all up in the blender first
I saw someone suggest Sucanat as an alternative and blend it up first to get it powdered.
Thank you for the great video and sharing your recipes. How long does a batch last you?
Depends on how much I use. I’d say at least a few weeks but close to a month.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa thank you so much. I hope you have a wonderful summer. And I look forward to watching more of your videos.
I’m addicted to coffee with almond milk creamer. I will try your recipe to keep at work when in the mood for a 2nd cup. Thx❤
Hope you enjoy
Read the label
Thank you so much for this vid. How do you make maple sugar though?
Maple sugar recipe. Make your own to save a ton of money.
th-cam.com/video/Yych91Fyh9A/w-d-xo.html here you go
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa Thank you. Just watched the link to making maple sugar. So simple, even a cave woman...well now that i said that, i hope i dont mess it up. I'll let you know how it turned out and how i used it
Ok so what if we dont like sugar in our coffee? Because blech lol. Ive been drinking it with coffee mate for waaaay more years than i care to admit but it doesnt have sugar. So basically powdered milk? Which I saw someone else saying that its $33 in Canada and go figure, I'm canadian lol. But now I'm terrified to look at my coffee mate.
I feel the same way about no sugar, haha! My husband says I drink it just for the creamer. I’d say for sure try powdered milk. It’s better than you think.
U think coffee mate isn’t sugar??
Read the label
First ingredient
@YeshuaKingMessiah it's glucose syrup, and it doesn't taste like sugar. If someone stirs a sugary coffee before stirring my drink, I can taste it. Which is my point. If I don't like the "taste" of sugars, that is obviously what I meant. Just curious, are you just here to act superior, or did you actually have a helpful other choice? I don't know exactly what glucose syrup "tastes" like, but I know I cannot stand the taste of even a tiny bit of sugar in my coffee. So if there is a sugar taste, it must be quite weak or dependant upon amounts perhaps.
Tyvm 😁
Love your videos❤️💯
Glad you like them!
I was with you until the coconut oil. That stuff will kill me 😔 I hate allergies 😔
I heard that, I can't use most powdered creamers because of the coconut oil. It is really frustrating, so much has it in it. 😢
@@dolphinamoon Yes ma'am. Seems like everything is adding it to their ingredients these days.
You can totally leave it out and it doesn’t change the flavor at all.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa thank you 💜
Use avo oil
It’s a neutral oil
Hello my dear friend how are you my favourite drink coffee cold and hot
🌷Mute your microphone when blending, please😊
Geez..chill..you can mute the volume at your end toooo, knuckhead
super cute shirt
Thank you! Old navy like 12 years ago. Sadly I got paint on it right after this video 😢
Good Morning I have just discovered your channel and it is most enlightening I normally make everything also but after looking at some of your videos my creative juices got going, I am mostly plant based I am wondering if I can use coconut milk powder or oatmeal milk powder.
You sure can!
I am new to your channel. I made your. Homemade coffee creamer it is great! I have tried others but yours is the best. I learned how to make powered sugar too. Any ideas about stevia. Sweeter. Again thank you. Love your channel
Welcome!! You can use powdered stevia instead of sugar but way less since it’s stronger. I’d start with 1/4 the amount and add more if needed. I tend to use coconut sugar if I’m not using sugar.
Thanks Allie all your homemade from scratch is sure helpful with the prices of everything now just waiting for cornstarch I looked up how to do it but it was confusing and I said to myself I will wait for Allie to show us how 🤣❤️🙏🏼
I’ll have to add that to my list. I still buy it but If there is a way to make it I will figure it out!
@@LittleHillHomesteadGathere are different versions of how to make it that's why I was hoping you would attempt it and it's expensive really to buy but some make it with fresh corn and some do the dried hominy so I was just curious it looks like it's pretty simple but I would love to watch your version of it thank you so much for all you contribute to us 🙏🏼❤️
Instead of coconut oil, have you tried a "regular" oil?
I haven’t.
I did and it tasted bad to me
Regular oil? What is Regular oil?
EVOO... Olive oil... Corn Oil... etc?
@@judichristopher4604good question. I thought about that too.
@@judichristopher4604they meant “vegetable” oil
