Think you forgot about GMC Typhoon/Cyclone and Silverado 454 SS, both were "sports" trucks from the 90`s made by GM. So they did cool trucks back in the day.
I'll never get over the way he says "speedometer." It catches me off guard on every video. "Spidometer" lol I love it.

The SS was a great version
Zack, In 2005 'lifestyle' pickups were still in the minority. Today it is hard to find a half ton focused on work.
Let's go back to that.
At the same time, Holden special vehicles gained the record for fastest production ute/pick up.
Ss' name and gm just gets hidden i think.
My old mans 2009 avalanche also has the 6.0L and as horrific as it is on gas I sure love the sound and impressive acceleration.

Those SS Silverado's are probably my favorite GMT800 truck. I especially love the Arrival Blue ones.
Another sports truck*
Honestly wondering why they didnt use the L18 RPO in the SS trim giving it an 8.1L V8, like the Avalance and other variants of the silverado. I think even the Express/Savana had an L18 option
Syclone and Typhoon will always be the GOAT sports trucks/SUV Light weight, low to the ground, lots of relative power.
the 8.1 isn’t that fast in comparison to a 6.0. Torque unmatched but you’re not picking up the same speed
It's a sleeper. I like it.
My best friend had one of these new, we’d take it to go snow boarding and that 4wd system was awesome, even with the low profile(ish) tires it had plenty of traction to go round
The back seats have much more room than you’d think believe it or not. Unless the driver is super tall and pushes the seat all the way back
AWD, same transfer case as the Yukon Denali. Not 4wd.
I like these Silverados but the people who have crew cab cat eyes “I know what I got I’m feeling good today so 10k only 340k miles.”
zach youre right, they should have made the truck, single cab short box with an ls7, for the sporty/luxury trim, the sierra denali 4ws would have been enough

These are pretty cool trucks and can be picked up for dirt cheap, though usually run ragged. I guess the owner of this truck doesn't want to see where they're going at night and doesn't want people to know when they're stopping or turning. I never understood the appeal of making car lights and windows work less.
I’d guess the owner rarely drives the truck and when he does it’s never at night. I’d also guess there’s leds behind the lower ducts and the brake lights are still very well visible.

I've loved this truck since youth. And still love it today. Body style and SS. I want one. Can always modify it a little. ❤❤💙😎👍👍

I remember when SS was in MT, i always wonder why not LS1 or LS2 5.7lt or 6.0lt V8? Interior looks bland even though got good features, HSV Maloo push performance features that GM could have done.
I hope this didnt have the cylinder deactivation engine. the newer one have it with many problems.
It did not it was the Gen before they decided to go to DOD/ cylinder deactivation
GM could've very easily gave this truck more power than 345 HP but knowing them they didn't want anything taking any kind of sales no matter how small from the Corvette.
Especially given the fact the SVT Lightning made 390 and the Ram SRT10 made 500
Chevy began a long line of *ugly* trucks with the "Cateye" front clip.

It came in Onyx Black, Arrival Blue, Victory Red and very rare silver birch metallic
I always loved the way these looked the. Next generation was just ugly
They could have done so much more with that SS package. (more features, more trucks/ SUVs)
