  • The Young Turks were a prominent political movement in the late Ottoman Empire, emerging in the early 20th century. Comprising mostly of educated, young intellectuals and military officers, they sought to modernize and reform the empire, advocating for constitutionalism, secularism, and nationalism. Their efforts culminated in the Young Turk Revolution of 1908, which led to the restoration of the Ottoman Constitution and the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP) gaining power.
This also led to the deposing of Sultan Abdul Hamid II.
However, their nationalist policies turned off other groups within the Empire, particularly the Arabs. When Sharif Hussein ibn Ali became governor of Mecca, he realized he could not trust the Young Turks.

Turkey is not so Turkish in this day and age, come back to your roots brother, palestinians are the descendants of the kayi, not your Armenian Zionist regime. Same way ur fighting pkk and ypg today is same reason Arabs revolted when they saw no peace or stability in that time frame. Young Turks and other snakes from balkans were trying to take out Beloved Sultan Hamid II long before Arabs revolted.

Up to 30% of the Ottoman army in WW1 were Arabs.
The revolt was mainly supported by Hejazi bedouin, most of whom didn't even have guns.
But the Arab revolt did cause massive Arab desertions. Which allowed the failure in the Levant.
Since the Arabs didn't have strong loyalty to the state, due to its secularisation for the last 100 years since the deestablishment of the waqfs, it's failed push for Ottomanism and finally it's push for Turkish nationalism.
Which was the reason Yemen revolted in thr late 1800s and early 1900s costing the Ottomans troops that could've been better used in the Balkans.

Nationalism was not imported into the Ottoman Empire, it was the natural result, as it was in Europe, of the powers that be favoring their own while oppressing others. It would be like saying that Ghandi imported nationalism into India from his experience in the UK, and without which the benevolent British could have continued to rule all the Indians, Muslim and Hindu, Sikh or Bengali, evenly and fairly just like the Ottomans ruled their empire of mixed populations.

You blame the Arabs for all the problems that you did, who abolished the ottoman empire? The Turks, who did the Tanzemat period? The Turks, Ottoman empire shouldn't have participated in WW1, but they couldn't help themselves to ally with bunch of Europeans who are fighting for power, You got so weak to the point that you can't even say anything bad about Atatürk, while you don't have respect for a genuine Türk leader like Mehmet the conquer who put an end to the roman emipre, you don't even honor him like you honor Atatürk who is a slave to the west. So instead of only blaming the Arabs, look at the mess that you did too.
