History of the Bosnian War Part 1 | Trailer
In November 1995, Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia signed the Dayton Accords. With this agreement, three years of brutal ethnic cleansing came to an end.
The Bosnian War of the 1990s was the most devastating, horrific, and inhumane event to take place in Europe since World War II.
In this three-part series, we will discuss how Bosnia became Muslim, how it became part of Yugoslavia, and how it found itself at war with its neighbors.
Part one of the series covers the history of Bosnia from its conquest by the Ottoman Empire, to the founding of Yugoslavia.
Part two will cover the rise of Slobodan Milosevic and the political failings that led to the breakout of war.
Part three will cover the war itself, as well as the Dayton Accords and the war in Kosovo.

Totally agree! People often call it ‘Arab betrayal’, but it’s more nuanced than that. The elitist CUP members were deeply involved in the Ottoman collapse as they later did with signing treaty of Sevres. The committee that signed the treaty was full of CUP members who were later banned from the country. Those ‘Turks’ betrayed the empire just as much as the Greeks, Armenians, or Arabs did. Yet, somehow, a pasha rose from dusk to save the country by quietly leaving British occupied Istanbul with 23 people on a boat. Who would believe to that? We had our own Lawrence, and he did a better job mesmerizing the public and turning a seven-century empire into a dysfunctional western-puppet nation-state.

Al Quds Al Arabi newspaper published in in London states: Since Allah created the Arabian peninsula surrounded by sea and desert no calamity has befallen it , till the crusaders came like loctus consuming crops destroying greenery ( and ofcourse sucking up the oil) 2nd the century long disgrace before the Sykes Pico agreement there was no Syria Lebanon Jordan Palestine Iraq Saudi Arabia and certainly no Israel to the Western powers they just separate sovereign states but to the Islamic world it is the opposite one religion divided into many territories. Hence 2014 the Islamic State Fighters cry “ We have broken the Sykes Pico agreement”. The 3rd Circa 1990 BINNY L referred to President G.W Bush as the Pharaoh, right when the USA established two military bases on Saudi Arabian soil, where the two holiest Islamic sites Mecca and Medina are located. The crusaders have taken Jerusalem and are now militarily stationed on the soil of Islam’s birthplace . Unprecedented 1400 years of Islam a foreign Army stationed in Arabia.

The idea that God has enemies, and needs human help in order to identify and dispose of them, is a little difficult to assimilate. It is not, however, all that alien. The concept of the enemies of God is familiar in preclassical and classical antiquity, and in both the old and new testament , as well as in the Koran. Bernard Lewis

What important territory did the Ottoman Empire lose control of? Albania became independent, and the Empire lost almost all of its European territory (Kosovo, Sanjak of Novi Pazar, Macedonia and western Thrace) to the four allies. These treaties resulted in the loss of 83 percent of their European territory and almost 70 percent of their European population.

As an Israeli I am so glad you spread the truth. But it is important to note that during this period there were no separate countries like Palestine or Lebanon. The Middle East, was a large piece of land with Arab and other populations, and several historical cities. The separations as we see them today were made by politicians. It cannot be undone, and therefore the State of Israel is here to stay. Palestinian nationalism and the creation of their self-determination came later, after the establishment of the State of Israel. There is no cultural or ethnic difference between the Arabs in Palestine or Jordan or southern Syria.

Betrayal?! The Ottoman Turkish sultans were the greatest traitors. They carved up their empire as if they owned it, all in an effort to protect Turkey. For instance, the Ottoman Sultan sold Cyprus to the British to shield himself from the Russians and sold Arab lands to the British and French to settle his debts. The three Turkish nationalist Pashas were willing to sacrifice a third of the Ottoman Empire’s population in exchange for a German ship. May God have mercy on Sharif, for he was ahead of his time and simply sought independence from this chaos.
