      Bhai ICE engines pe 28%gst hai. Vahi ev pe 5% hi hai. Matlab hydrogen ke cars pe bhi 5% hi rahega. In total environment friendly cars pe 23% tax kam hi lagega. Extra cess to applicable to hai hi

    Another alternative source of fuel is being developed by Porche somewhere in North America... Synthetic fuel - called eFuel by Porsche - is created by splitting water into oxygen and green hydrogen, then combining CO2 with the green hydrogen to produce synthetic Methanol, which is then converted into e-fuel, which can be used in regular (ICE) combustion engines without any engine modifications. This can also be a game changer if the technology is in the right direction...

    FYI, it takes a lot of energy for hydrolysis which means separating hydrogen cells from oxygen cells.. its not feasible at all and thé energy needed is more than digging out crude…

    Hydrogen engines for cars are silly. Japanese companies cannot switch to EVs from ICE due to their long contract structure and higher write off. But China has invested in EVs for a decade, as they figure out the future requirements. Coming back to the hydrogen engine, it's like a ticking bomb, storing, transferring and usage is highly risky. And no need to talk about gray hydrogen. Need more.improvements in bev batteries composition like manganese in LFP, hybrid LFP with sodium battery etc. Why are they wasting their money, Already a Toyota hydrogen test car got blasted recently.
    Wasting public money.

    Govt 2027 wlaa diesel ban phir se sochna chahiye kyuki jab Diesel Petrol se kam pollutant hota h aur EV ka use utna practical nahi to Diesel Engine continue rakhna hi chahiye is target ko 2030 ya 2032 kar dena chahiye.

    i think its less about the sustainibility and more about the profitability. Toyota knows that they dont have the advantage in EVs and they were not prepared for it since they have been investing in hydrogen cars since decades. If they produce EV cars now, they have to again invest newly in infra and technology while still at high chance of being left behind by leading present EV companies.
    Therefore they seek to persue this technology to gain the "first mover advantage", which will keep them at top if successful. Its good if the technology becomes cheap and safe but for now and for some time to come, hydrogen cars are unsustainable and dangerous and the production of fuel might be heavily monopolised by few companies and governments because of its production complexity and storage. It will be pretty expensive affair for common people, both hydrogen fuel and the car.
    lets see how it develops though.

    This is a good explanation, however any Hydrogen ICE or Fuel Cell will never see a success in the automotive industries.
    You have already explained the first reason of storage : even the most advanced grade Hydrogen tank will leak hydrogen at any cost and can never sustain in a longer duration.
    Second thing is the availability of Green Hydrogen : The best way to get green hydrogen is by electrolysis, so just calculate the amount of water required to generate 100 KGs of Hydrogen through electrolysis. practically it is not possible.

    EVs are 3 times more expensive to run than petrol vehicles. So when govt finally bans them, less people will afford to buy EVs. Hydrogen has a problem with storage and transportation so they have not become popular in any country so far.
