There are a few words for Peace in Scripture and the connotations, definitions are also connected to Completeness, which is necessary to have the entire concept of Shalom
In Hebraic (and Scriptural) thought. In the Greek the word is G1515 εἰρήνη eirḗnē, i-ray'-nay; probably from a primary verb εἴρω eírō (to join); peace (literally or figuratively); by implication, prosperity:-one, peace, quietness, rest, + set at one again.
To truly be at peace is to be complete.
Shalom H7965 שָׁלוֹם shâlôwm, shaw-lome'; or שָׁלֹם shâlôm; from H7999; safe, i.e. (figuratively) well, happy, friendly; also (abstractly) welfare, i.e. health, prosperity, peace:-× do, familiar, × fare, favour, friend, × great, (good) health, (× perfect, such as be at) peace(-able, -ably), prosper(-ity, -ous), rest, safe(-ty), salute, welfare, (× all is, be) well, × wholly.
My friends, be at Shalam H7999 שָׁלַם shâlam, shaw-lam'; a primitive root; to be safe (in mind, body or estate); figuratively, to be (causatively, make) completed; by implication, to be friendly; by extension, to reciprocate (in various applications):-make amends, (make an) end, finish, full, give again, make good, (re-) pay (again), (make) (to) (be at) peace(-able), that is perfect, perform, (make) prosper(-ous), recompense, render, requite, make restitution, restore, reward, × surely.
      Shalam, Shalom Aleichem, Aleinu,
May It Rest Upon And Within You, And May We All Be Encompassed By It.

Glad to know that there is a man left on planet Earth who still lives a man’s life.
I had a walk yesterday with my 2 year old granddaughter. She held my hand. We talked about the crickets that we heard thrumming in the woods. We looked for the moon in a cloudy sky, and picked up sticks and a few pieces of straw along the way. I carried her on part of the return trip and she tugged on the leaves of some low-hanging tree limbs. I was completely filled up in the manner that you describe.

This man Dwayne speaks the truth. To my brothers and sisters in Christ, and to those who suspect that something deeper exists but haven’t had their eyes opened, I say hello!
I’m just like you, living life and learning! This is my first time commenting, I hope that it adds value and perspective to your lives, I really do! God bless you all, and pray for me as I will do you! It's a long comment, but worth it if it helps even one person!
One of our greatest gifts from God given to the Christian, well second to His saving grace is the Christian’s ability to hear truth from others Christians without knowing them personally, the Holy Spirit in one communicates with the Holy Spirit in the other by way of God’s word (the bible) and prayer. This is how I know without meeting Dwayne what he’s getting at with his comments. You cannot know a persons condition without knowing them, but you can know the condition of the Holy Spirit living within them without knowing them personally - it’s nuts and beautiful! This is a tremendous gift because we can immediately spot fake religious misleading teachings from the real deal… John 10:27-28 says “27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
What Dwayne is speaking about so eloquently is often NOT taught in many Churches, especially those that do not have Jesus Christ at the head of it. If you sadly find yourself in one of these I’d ask you to pray, read the word, and then have a discussion with the pastor showing him the video and this comment. Ask for his/her thoughts. If they refuse to listen, try your best to educate, give some time, pray, and try again! if still no luck then I do recommend asking God to lead you to another church family! I am praying hard for you!
Now to the point, there’s a distinction taught in the bible between the SPIRIT, SOUL, and BODY which comprise the whole Salvation of Man/Woman. Knowing this will surely open your eyes and support your journey! Two main points follow, 1. What are the 3 offices in the bible? 2.) What does this mean for me?
    1. What are the 3 offices in the bible (KEY OF THREE)?
The bible depicts God as a triune being who He made us in His image and likeness and it goes without saying that man who is made in His image and likeness must also be a tri-part being as well as mentioned Genesis 1:26-27 “26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Now look at 1 Thess. 5:23 "May God Himself, the God of peace sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
KEY# 1 of 3 PAST TENSE PHASE OF SALVATION - removes the penalty of sin. [Justification]
Spirit [1 of 3 of the tri-part nature of man/woman]
Eph. 2:8-9 [salvation. 1 of 3 time periods]
Justification [1 of 3 phases of salvation of a believer]
    Prophet [Christ’s 1 of 3 offices]
Jesus [1 of 3 fold title of the Son]
    Takeaway: Jesus took our punishment!
KEY# 2 of 3 PRESENT TENSE PHASE OF SALVATION - removes the power of sin.[Sanctification]  the believer is here today, this is the soul being worked on through obedience, repentance, etc.
Soul [2 of 3 of the tri-part nature of man/woman]
    1 Cor. 1:18 [salvation. 2 of 3 time periods]
Sanctification [2 of 3 phases of salvation of a believer]
    Priest [Christ’s 2 of 3 offices]
Lord [2 of 3 fold title of the Son]
Takeaway: We are all just a work in progress, all those who acknowledge that Christ is who He says and accept is way!
KEY# 3 of 3 FUTURE TENSE PHASE OF SALVATION - removes the presence of sin.[Glorification]
Body [3 of 3 of the tri-part nature of man/woman]
Heb 1:14 [salvation. 3 of 3 time periods]
Glorification [3 of 3 phases of salvation of a believer]
    King [Christ’s 3 of 3 offices]
Christ [3 of 3 fold title of the Son]
Takeaway: We haven’t seen anything yet, in the blink of an eye we will be transformed and given a new body, no more pain, no more hurt!
    2. What does this mean for me? It means that all have been offered an amazing gift, that once realized allows you to become whole, at peace, even in times of great suffering! Jesus Christ ask the ultimate question in Luke 9:20 “Who do you say that I am?”. Well you can’t ignore the question, every man / women must answer it. And in refusing to answer means you answered it, ignoring its existence doesn’t make it go away. Refusal of Christ means you are opting to be God, to believe what you as a person want. Ultimately you will find that you are trying to be God, but cannot! You see the disaster this causes! Understand and choose wisely, eternity IS at stake, do not choose to be apart from God for eternity!
JESUS means salvation i.e. our initial salvation [of our spirit] that was purchased for us on the
A cross. He came as a Prophet - [1st time frame] i.e. Justification; You have been justified from
everything you have done wrong. Eph. 2...saved by grace!
LORD means He is Lord over our lives and we are to submit to His Lordship in obedience for
the salvation of the soul. He is now our High Priest for confession of sin- [2nd time frame] i.e
    Sanctification.
CHRIST means "'anointed one" or the one who is anointed to be King over all the earth as King
of Kings during His Millennial Reign where our soul [if it is saved] will rule and reign with Him
with our new glorified bodies. Jesus will come back as King - [3rd time frame] i.e. Glorification
I just like you am learning, making mistakes, and am so thankful that God is working on me and through me. Keep running the race! Fight for it!
God bless you all! And Thank you Dwayne for all the great work you are doing!

I think it's spiritual connection to something bigger than yourself. God is a very western concept. As a Hawaiian, we are polytheistic, meaning everything is divine., the rocks, the trees, the stars, even us etc. It's the recognition that we are all part of the divine. Its when we separate ourselves from that universal order that we are incomplete, lost, disconnected. All traditional tribal cultures knew this. They lived very harmonious with nature because being in nature demanded that your physical, spiritual and soul all be present in order to navigate it properly.

The other route is self-education. This means looking up what is being taught in college, opening TH-cam or Udemy or whatever, and watching courses. Most college courses you'd take you can find on the internet. Heck MIT has a whole semester of math and computer science on their TH-cam channel. This route of course takes dedication. You wanna make sure the lectures and courses you're watching are good and have credible information.
Now, of course, the latter option won't get you a degree or anything, but in the high-tech world, it's less about degrees and more about the experience you gain in learning. That's why it's good to work on projects while learning. Whether if private, or contributing to an open source. Can increase your resume, and help you learn a bit faster and better.
If you want some resources for self-teaching, here are some:
Udemy - look for a course in whatever field that has the most students and the highest review rate.
Tech with Tim - a channel on TH-cam of a pretty cool guy. Teaches just about anything related to programming.
MIT on YT - MIT TH-cam channel has a few courses for math, data structures, and computer science in general.
Professor Leonard - A TH-cam channel of a cool math professor.

The timing of your video couldn’t have been better. I’ve been haunted by a question posed in a sermon I heard this week, “ do you enjoy, sincerely enjoy the life God has given you?” Dewayne has hit the nail on the head. God has given us the way and the means to “ have life and to have it more abundantly “, and to have joy in God Himself. Anything apart from that will be unbalanced as Dewayne said. Thanks Dewayne, God bless you!

I’m glad to finally have this feeling put into words and explained. Recently I’ve been feeling that emptiness, like there’s nothing for me to do, nothing to achieve. And I think it’s because I was neglecting my body too much. I never really cared about my physical self, I always just thought it was more of a “vessel,” that didn’t matter, especially since I’m gonna die some day anyways. But now that I hear this, I understand why I feel so much better whenever I go camping, or work on cars, or just go outside for a walk. This video genuinely helped me and really made me reflect and think. Thank you, genuinely.

Personally, I have to go out into nature to feel calm. 2-3 weeks every summer, in a tent, fishing and living as simple a life as possible. Every evening by the fire is a blessing in itself and you feel a peace that surpasses everything else. I grew up in the 60s and unfortunately it seems that today's young people only have material needs and little desire to leave the sofa and comfort. Take care & God bless.

(IMO) the soul is our original good~ a place of connection with Creator… it can never be misshapen but we can be disconnected from it… when we’re disconnected from our soul, our spiritual becomes contaminated with ego (hierarchy: superior/inferior paradigm and one can be stuck on either side or fluctuate)… we can always reconnect with our soul and thereby heal our spirit! 🌟
