Mr. Ayobami Folarin, fondly known as “AY” and his love for real estate is what drove him to build his own Real estate company called Real Forte, a business helping clients build wealth and secure financial freedom through real estate investment and development. Additionally, Real Easy is a platform for marketing and consulting services in real estate and Faim & Flo is his Construction Company.
Mr. AY shared his journey on what life was like growing up in Nigeria, and how he pushed the envelope to become an expert in the Real Estate industry in Africa, an attestation that dreams come true when you are consistent in doing what you are interested in.
He shed light on his mistakes while navigating the real estate industry and gave a few lessons, noted below:
-The way you carry yourself matters when transactions are involved
-People will be drawn to you when you carry yourself with confidence
-Know the management structure before you invest in a developer
-Review and have your lawyer review your agreement with developers
-Take time before you disburse investments
-If you are not wealthy enough, rent rather than buy for now
-Success is defined by the goal you set as an individual
-Patience helps you see clearly, otherwise you will make errors

i always feel bad about countries like Nigeria because they have so much potential...our pension fund wanted to buy commerical land and build malls in Nigeria but land ownership was a nightmare....first local politicians, then chiefs and later even ordinary people from diaspora claimed the land. foreign investors beware of Nigeria

That's because the project was managed poorly-I think.
Most times a lot of stakeholders are not considered when embarking on such projects like this.
Also thorough research is needed especially for landmark!
